accessing iCalendar files - Desire HD Themes and Apps

Hi!
Does anybody know a possibility to create an account on an android phone with which you can access iCalendar files (*.ics).
Such files can be created e. g. by Thunderbird. You can store them on a server and other users (or maybe the same user but from another PC) can access this file and share the appointments.
Now I'm looking for a way to access these files with my android.
Regards
Gugsdu

[Q] IE Download location

Hi to all,
Anyone know where Windows Phone saves files donwloaded with IE?
Actually, I don't yet. There's a data folder for it, and a temp cache folder, but I don't *think* either of those are used. I'll have to explore more.
I was found the download folder in Windows Phone 7 when i have one.
but i think it can't help us because when our phones are not unlocked we can't access to that folder .

files access when created with filemanager

Hi,
i have a problem accessing files from Telekom Mediencenter App. When the Directorys are copied via an filemanager (between the storage of android), the directories are invisible to the app (looks like the ringtone bug). When i copy the files and create it by pc transfer then i see them
Can anyone help me to get the files visible with the resources available on android (without an pc) ?
best regards,
Thomas

Deploy example files

Being new to Java, Android OS and Android Studio, I am a bit overwhelmed by all the information and hope I am asking the right questions on the right forum. I am developing an application where the user creates and edits files of a specific format. I want to include example files in my deployment so that the user can play with them right away. Now my questions are:
How do I include those files with Android Studio?
How do I define/create a directory for these files?
What would be standard locations for this directory which allow the user to access the files with a file manager?

Click to collapse
I've not yet made the transition to Android Studio, but in Eclipse there's a folder called /assets in the project structure. That folder gets built into the root of the APK. You can then access files in the /assets folder with the AssetManager.
Android puts tight controls on your access to devices resources. Each application has a default location for files that it can manage. You can retrieve the default working directory through the app Context. Check out Context.getFilesDir(). The application has the necessary privileges to read and write files to that location.
The crucial thing about internet search is keywords. The one I didn't know is "assets". Together with "android studio" I found a wealth of valuable links. Thanks for the help!

[Q] Restore Notes

Lost my notes after Lollipop upgrade. Evernote sync didn't help. But previously downloaded them on my computer from folders HTCNotes and CacheManager. Files inside are just empty folders and have name like ".1425799513711" or files have unknown format and name like "-431985597". How can I get notes from it? Is there a chance? Help, please
