when running various tweaking programs, i have noticed the second core is alwas disabled. Am running kang with baked in bricked kernal. Was wonderingif there is a kernal that does support both cores.
both cores should be working as a default. most of the time it's that the 2nd core isn't needed so it isn't fired up.
if it really is disabled, then it's that crappy kang's build.

Noticed something interesting.
Using os monitor app, it tells me that this new rom uses on demand by default. Previous i9000 roms seemed to react badly to this setting and only really worked well with conservative mode.
Could someone enlighten me as to what this means comparing older roms set to conservative with jvk?

Anyone have success with this? Game graphics look srunning before it fcs.
Nobody?
installed, downloaded the sd data, unchecked compatibility mode in spare parts, rebooted.

Thanks, but that didn't work. Must be a kernel issue.
Close to 300 views. I must not be the only one.
Anyone got anything on this?
Works fine for me. Although I'm running totally stock Xoom.
OC GPU Kernel?
Are you using the Tiamat kernel with the overclocked GPU? I noticed that on the OC GPU kernel, GOF2 crashed every few minutes. I switched to the standard kernel (still the latest 1.7Ghz Tiamat kernel, just not the OC GPU), and I haven't crashed since. I think I had a similar issue with Riptide GP and the OC GPU kernel, but the standard Tiamat kernel runs great and doesn't crash at all (at least on my Xoom).
I am running GOF2 on a stock Euro 3.1 and I have the same FC issues...

I've just updated to Trinity v 5.0, but my phone keeps rebooting itself after scrolling the homescreens. I flashed the 1 GHz script and changed the Kernel to Unity v10, now it's back to normal again without reboots.
Does anyone know why this is happening? No one else on Trinity's thread seems to have this problem...
Your CPU cannot handle anything more than 1GHz. That's probably the thing that caused the reboot.
Not all CPU can handle >1GHz due to the nature of the manufacturing process of the CPU, so you are a bit unlucky to get the CPU that can only run 1 GHz max, still its still satisfy what it says on the spec..

Thanks, that's what I thought. But it's only after I flashed the Unity v10 kernel then it would stop rebooting. Is it because the Ruslik kernel that comes with it is custom made for OC? Should I go to Tweaks now and remove OC Daemon then?
I think the Ruslik kernel comes with OC, therefore it reboots every time, just try to make it to 1GHz it should work, if not its probably kernel bug. And you don't have to remove the OC daemon after, just set it to 1GHz and you are good to go.
In TriNiTy SensationXL 4.5 i have a reboot bug in FBReader. If i won't touch the screen for some time the phone will reboot. And in 5.0 final version i have force close in FIFA 12. Anyone else has this problem?
I recently had my HTC One replaced due to a bad microphone. After rooting/ s-off'ing and installing elemental x 0.6 and Tranquil rom (same stuff I was running on my old phone) I noticed it was pretty sluggish. So I ran a antutu test and I only got a score of 12k. So I went in trickster mod and ran again in performance mode to get a score of only 16k. Checked usage history and from the look of things only core 0 is running at any time. Core's 1, 2, and 3 are always offline. I wiped and re-installed everything and I'm still getting the same thing. Is it possible to have a hardware malfunction where only one core is working?
Try it with stock firmware and software, then you'll know if the problem is hardware related - which I wouldn't believe it is. It's possible, but unlikely.
Maybe the kernel has a power saving mod.
Try RUU and see if all 4 cores work. I'm pretty sure there are some kernels out there that are supposed to do what you describe as a problem.
Ill mess with RUU over the weekend, in the process of moving so don't want to get that deep. It's odd because this is the same exact kerne/rom and settings as my original One and it never did this.
Hi,
Id like to disable two of the cores for the little prosessor and the big prossesor. So core; 2-3, 6-7.
Id like to do this to reduce heat... Ive disabled the cpu cores in the kernel, but somehow they can get back online... Ive modified the thermal config to always have them hotplugged or disabled.
It would be nice to have them offline during boot as well.
Any thoughts? Or anyone who knows more about this than me?
Thanks!

i've been trying to do this for about a month with no luck at all. flashed multiple roms and kernels trying to achive it but no.
i think its a pretty dead end. even kernels which stated that cores was turned of didn't do the trick
well, in its latest iterations SunKernel does only allow 3 cores during bootup (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...el-zachs-kernel-playground-z4-z3-wip-t3404587),
and you can modify the hotplug behavior of the cores with @RyTekk 's thermal-engine and qcom modifications (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/general/tweak-improve-performance-reduce-t3387879)

I did modify the hotplug behavior, telling it to always have two of the big cores offline, and did turn off two of them in the kernel as well, but sometimes entering camera or games the cores would turn on...
I managed to increase my devices performance after a lot of trickery but now i sent it in to my provider in hopes to get mye money back...
Is there a thread here siggesting other phones? Im looking at the nexus 5x or the upcoming nexuses
