Trying to sell my touchpad with dual boot, android and webos. I've taken care of the android partition. How do I remove my webos account without getting rid of android partition. Like will a factory reset on webos affect my android partition?

I'm not sure if that's possible. It wouldn't take long to wipe the whole thing and just ACMEInstaller Android back onto it.

Just do this:
1. Use ACMEUninstaller to uninstall everything
2. Doctor your device to webOS 3.0.5
3. Reinstall using ACMEInstaller2
It shouldn't take you more than an hour.
If you do a secure wipe on WebOS your android build should stay in tact. Did for me before I sent my pad in. Thought it would wipe all. Was not the case.

I chose the remove apps and data option and it worked fine. It removed the original owners account and allowed me to set up my account when t rebooted. My ICS install was not affected at all.

I've install cm9 on my touchpad and i understand that the camera is not working in cm9 so i always boot into webos if i need to make skype video calls. But recently i found that my camera is also not working in webos. All the camera apps fail to open. I am currently with webos 3.05 with dualboot cm9. Any idea about how to fix it? Thanks.

You might need to reinstall WebOS - sounds like something got touched that wasn't supposed to be.
Take a Nandroid backup, then follow the instructions in the thread in General on how to Factory Reset / Downgrade to 3.0.0, then upgrade from there to 3.0.5, and then reinstall Android, then restore your backup. Will take about 30 mins, and you should have everything working again.
You can check to see if you have loaded any other camera apps in webOS. I experienced this when I installed a preware camera app in 3.0.5. After working with tech support in a live chat, I removed the preware app and rebooted the touchpad. My camera works flawlessly now. You could also follow the above suggestion to make a nandroid backup in android then do a full erase in webOS. Reinstallation of the webOS software might be just the thing to get you back on track. Hope this helps.

Might sound like a stupid question here. Every time I factory wipe using CWM (of course, safe kernel), all of my pictures still remain.
Upon a reset, if I install a apk that has a large in game download (GTA), the files where never deleted. The game will simply load right away.
I'm not restoring the phone through TB either. What other way is there to delete everything? I'm currently running RR8.
This question is mostly curiosity. Curious to know how much is left behind everytime I reset the phone and start from scratch.

Settings>Storage>Format USB Storage.
Cheers.
Alternatively, mount it as usb storage to pc to format your internal sd, then perform factory reset to clear the data partition.

So I just sold my touch pad, and how do I reset it so my personal info and apps can be off the table without losing android or the ability to dual boot?

Pretty much if you do a factory reset and then install a Rom plus appropriate gapps at first boot you should be asked to specify location time etc and sign into or setup a gmail account.
how much did you sell it for?

This guide looks longer and more complicated than it is.... probably only took me 30 minutes to run through this. And if you are going to leave it at bare bones WebOS it cuts half of the work out.
[Guide] Factory condition restoration / Downgrade to webOS 3.0.0

There is a factory reset button in WebOS as well. However, having never tried it, a cannot tell you if it will get rid of your android partition.

there's a remove android patch in preware to remove android partition, then reset webos and you'll be cleaned up,
Ok, I know this is a noob question, but never run into this before.
About to change ROMs on my touchpad But I have to do a factory reset in TWRP before I can flash the new ROM. Will this factory reset affect my WebOS apps? I have a lot of apps that are no longer available from the webos market and I dont want to lose them. Will doing the factory reset in TWRP delete them?
It will remove all your android data and apps only!

A while back I installed cm9 on my Touchpad and it worked great. Decided to upgrade to cm10 and now gapps/youtube etc went working. What is the easiest way to start over. I don't mind going back to cm9. I'm not very experienced at these type of things. I just want the easiest way to get it working like it was. Thanks in advance for the help.

The easiest way to start over is to doctor the TouchPad to clear everything and then use the TouchPad toolkit installer I'm sure this would work for you

The easiest and fastest way is to boot into recovery, either TWRP of CWM, and do a factory reset, then clear cache , then clear Dalvik cache. After that has been done, then all you need to do is flash CM 9 and the Gapps and then reboot. I have done this many times and it works fine. The only problem is that you close all of your apps and data. But as soon as you go to Google Play all of your apps will download automatically. IF you created a Nano backup....then just do the factory reset, clear caches then restore your backup. This was is WAY easier and you don't lose any or your apps.
Do not use webos Doctor without removing android first!!
You maybe have an incorrect version of gapps for your version of android, so maybe check this first. It is worth upgrading from cm9 -> cm10, definitely!
Cheers
