[Q] Unstable WiFi

Hi guys, I have a very unstable WiFi with GingerDX and FroyoBread, I tried full wipe, but it didn't help me..
It's connected an signal is more then 70%, but market says, there is no connection and browser can't load page...
On stock ROM all works fine. Can anyone tell me, what's wrong? THX!

check ur internet wifi modem..i'm using GingerDX V008..and there is no wifi problem..

I wrote, all works fine with stock rom... do you understand it?
Problem is only with custom roms.

True Man...same problem with me...though wifi works fine on Hackdroid Roms ..thts why i prefer hackdroid,speed is fast as well..

I had the same problem on GDX v009 ... WLAN disconnects and reconnects every 2-3 minutes.
Following the suggestion from Dexter_prog to replace the files in /system/etc/wifi with the files out the ZIP file attached to this post resolved the problem over time.
To repeat Dexter_prog's instructions:
Copy the 3 main files in the wifi folder:
- twilan
- tiwlan_firmware
- wpa_suplicant
To summarize, what I did was:
1) backup those 3 files
2) delete those 3 files
3) copy the same 3 files from the attached zip
4) reboot
The problem wasn't gone right after the reboot in my case, but the longer the phone was running the more and more stable the wifi connection became.
I guess I should add that I never had that problem before. WiFi worked absolutely fine and rock stable on Stock Elcair and Froyobread - it only started to give me troubles at the upgrade to GingerDX.
I'd say it could be worth giving it a try.

I had the same problem, I used hackdroid floyo 0.30 and all worked well... But only for a one day. Now I tried your tut, and... It works! Thank you guy, you solved my problem...

Crap i thought this can fix my problem. when connecting i get stuck @ obtaining ip address. then x88 reboots.

[Q] GingerDX wifi problem

Hello,
I'm using GingerDX v13. i was very pleased with all versions before, but now my wifi isn't working anymore... He does'nt find any networks.
I did some reading and tried the wifi patch (libs from MiniCM) but the script gives an error on my phone.
What can i do?
Edit: I installed v12 again, but no luck...

Some extra information:
I installed Kuyadroid over GingerDX, but no luck.
Then i did a full wipe, and reinstalled Kuyadroid... And Wifi is back.
Does anyone has an idea what i can do without loosing all my settings?

i got that error too but also i installed the new gingerdx V14 and the wifi hotfix and problem stil occurs but it seems to ocure when i download something big

Try hotfix of DX v_0.14 and wifi should work fine. Remember to use ClockWorldMode to update.

v14 wifi hotfix dosnt work cause i did it and should i install the gingerDX V14 via CWM cause i installed it via xrecovery and wifi hotfix via CWM

I solved my wifi problem by doing a full wipe...
By restoring an old image (for copying settings) i bricked my phone...
I solved it, but can start the rooting process all over again :-(

I have a problem in GingerDX v015 with LinuxDX kernel.
When i want to activate Wifi nothing happens. Instead of activating it's saying error and nothin else happens. Tried installing GingerDX v014 Hotfix but still no change.
Plz help me i really ned wifi.

i flash GingerDX on the above
i connect the my home wifi do not have any problem
but when i connect EAP wifi. got fail to connection.
1. i try to recover the 2.1 android "/system/etc/wifi " but also cannot connect EAP wifi
PS: i try to recovery to 2.1 android. the eap wifi can connect .
back to GingerDX 2.3.7 can not connect
can i apply some detail for debug?and how to do ? is it is a bug?

yesterday i re flash the rom use clockworkMod instead XRecovery...
The wifi do can continue use until today.
xRecovery may be missing something. i don't know
when i use XRecovery , i cannot search any Access point....after reboot few times.
Now i can search the eap assess point But the wifi of EAP cannot connect.
PS i am very like this rom. thank you doixanh!!

Canot find router on x8 with cm7

Hello i have unlocked bootloader put the nAa karnel and latest build of cm7
for my xperia x8
Everything works fine and wifi first 4 days then sudendly i canot see my router i can see other routers just mine dont.
First i was delete autoconnect and then i find it..
It was past one day and again i cannot find it i try whipe cache but no effect can somebody help me.
I have try restart router etc.

Update: Solved (just reflashed the ROM)
I have a problem here with my X8. So, after I have successfully unlocked my bootloader without the network problem, now I have a wifi problem. So what I did was: rooted my phone, unlocked the bootloader, applied a nAa kernel (before that I tried the MiniCM9 with the ICS nAa kernel), then I applied the custom ROM called JoyOS... In both cases(ICS-MiniCM9, and JoyOS) I have the problem when connecting to a wifi router, I cant use it. I know it sounds strange but I can connect normally with the wifi but still I cant use it... I mean when I try to open google.. or use anything with wifi (like syncing) I just cant... it says unable to connect to the internet. I am thinking its the unlocked bootloader problem.. but I am not sure. Can someone help with this please.

Maybe just reset router...

Thats not a problem with the router... I am using the internet via that router writing this reply.. please dont be stupid and post something smart.

Have u tried connecting to a totally different router cuz that may be ur problem, I have a friend who had a similar problem with an android tablet that didn't like his router so give it a go it won't hurt to try

it did connect when it was on stock ... and I am not sure but I think it actually was working a little while I was using the MiniCM9 ICS ROM and on the same rom actually the problem has occured. Now I am not sure if it stopped working because of the unlocking and applying a new kernel or something else happened in the mean time.. Could it be I disabled wifi somehow? somewhere?

What rom are you using? i only say that because when i swapped from minicm9 to semc debrand engine both wifi and 3g stopped working but when i switched back to minicm9 it worked perfectly again.
Try a Full wipe + wipe dalvic cache (or whatever it is) and install the rom again, hope this helps

Now trying to flash miniCm9 again.. we ll see now.. will update in a few minutes
