Hey everyone,
I've done a lot of looking and was wondering if anyone knew how to give the D3 more than the standard 2 touch points. I know the DX2 and the photon 4g have mods out there for this and there has been updates to the Xoom to give 3 touch points. I would really like more than 2 touch points so that it is actually possible to play emulators on my D3.
Thank you.
My stock Droid 3 has 4 point multi-touch already.....

I also have 4 touch points on mine already.
But you can also play emulators on the phone with a ps3 controller (search sixaxis controller)
Yeah, I have set up the six axis but my verizon d3 will only recognize two points or sixaxis buttons at a time. Any ideas as to what to try? Your help is appreciated.
What's the exact model# XT862?
Also, What ROM? stock?
When I tested it, I had 4 points but I'm on CM9 on a XT869
Gonna test it myself on stock soon too just to compare
I could use all five of my fingers on fruitninja
Sent from my DROID3 using XDA
Okay, turns out it was the emulators I was running on both stock and darkdroid. I feel a bit sheepish. thanks for the help though anyway. PS the emulators were snes9x ex and a nesoid type. Figured out which emulators I could use though now and am good.
(now if only they could get BT to work on CM9 I'd really be set)

So I was just browsing through some of the sub-forums and I found a lot of questions asking, "HOW KENN I RUN iPHONE APZ ON MI PPC?"
I today have brought you a solution.
Using this method, your phone/device will not need any additional memory usage, or even any additional software/hardware for that matter. All games will run full speed too! And the best part is -- none of this will affect your battery life!
Here you go folks! A picture is worth a thousand words, so this video is worth a million (Or something like that! )

Tada!!
edit: This will work with all screen resolutions!
Does this work on the HTC HD2?

Upon further inspection it works on every phone on every operating system
It's a really hilarious* video showing someone running an app on an iphone which he has physically placed on top of a PPC.
* when I write, hilarious, I really didn't mean it.
Thread can be closed now, if not deleted, please.
It will run on my Tilt, as long as it is on my desk. But will not run on my Tilt if it is in the charging dock. Any ideas ?
fail thread.

It looks like a neat solution for anyone who's been wondering when the Apple TV 2G will be able to boot Linux, seem to have everything that you'd need to a silent, low power media streamer without the trouble of building something using beagleboard or similar...
I have no idea how this works properly without a touchscreen but clearly it does. It should be possible to connect an external mouse or larger touchscreen display to make it easier to control. I'm thinking of getting one and a cheap IR-based 24" touchscreen display for a nice living room media controller.
Wanted to know if anyone has one and if it's possible to root this?
Bump! Anybody get one of these things yet. I'm a Google TV owner and wondering how this thing compares.
i have received it one it comes with android 2.1, upgraded to 2.2 through following forum http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1679431&p=5 and nice people working on it for rooting and all, it is just another android mobile without gsm / gps in a black box, u can attache bluetooth keyboard mouse which i m using.
Is there one being developed?
I would love to see one on our Android phones.
I know there's one for ADW Launcher, but that's more of a theme.
I posted it at the X10 forums, but as PlayGunsta suggested, I should post it here too so
that more devs could see it.
For those wondering what's an XMB, Xross Media Bar is a GUI developed by Sony for the PSP, PS3, and some Bravia TVs..
Here's an image:

i would love to see this also!!!
For phones, I think this would be difficult to use. For tablets on the other hand, it's certainly an interesting idea. However, I must say the XMB is more suited to a directional controller rather than a touch screen. In all honesty, I don't see this being very practical for Android, but I do find the idea interesting. Just my 2c
There are XMB-style live wallpapers already, ripped from the Xperia Play. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1025087 I think if Sony was going to release an XMB-style launcher for Android, the Xperia Play would've been the phone to do it on. I'm sure the thought crossed their mind, but when it came to practicality, the idea was probably thrown out the window.
Thanks on that one!
Or at least a widget might be good..
There is an Open Source Cross Media Bar for GP2X called GP2XMB. Is there anyone here with the knowledge to covert it to an Android Launcher? This would be a great Launcher for Android Handhelds like the JXD S602 or the Yinlips YDPG19 or even the new Archos GamePad.
I cant post links but if you Google GP2XMB it will be the first result
:fingers-crossed:
I just bought a Rii Handheld keyboard (RII-518), and I am very happy with it.
It looks like this:

only smaller than you think, and it was only 35 dollars from this site: http://dx.com/p/mini-handheld-rechargeable-bluetooth-wireless-keyboard-93118
It pairs beautifully, and the only think I don't like about it is that it doesn't work right away when you turn it on. You sort of have to push a few buttons, and then change apps - but then it works fine. I usually just turn it on when I start using it, and then don't turn it off until I put the tablet away for the night.
Anyway, try it if you think it's for you.
Tempted to buy this. One of those items I would really like to test drive before I commit though. I have would be using it for note taking in class probably. Thoughts?
Looks nice n compact..
I've got one of the diNovo mini's.
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-920-000594-diNovo-Mini-Keyboard/dp/B0011FOOI2
Works well, and you have mouse control as well with the trackpad on the right.
I got this one and really like it
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004T0QLLO/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i01
Both of those are rechargeable? And have you tried to do any extensive note taking?
Seems way over priced, have seen similar ones for 10$ shipped on ebay, Chinese ones
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Build quality on the cheap Chinese ones can be very poor though, waste of $10 if you get it and the keys don't work properly.
Well, I won't say the Rii's quality is comparable to an old IBM Model M keyboard, but it certainly works! Well worth the money IMO.
Local Gamestop in Van Nuys was selling a Gold PS3 controller for 40 dollars and 43 after tax. Picked it up as I was trying to get a controller for my Note. Works great, so far tested it out on emulators with wireless and no issues whatsoever. It even works with games like Shadowgun Dead Zone natively. Get an app called six axis from the market to enable it to play all the other games.
I'd call and check before heading out though just to be sure.
GameKlip So yeah, im thinking about buying this. I emailed the guy to see if they're making one for the note 2

k guys i was doing some research and found out about the Spider podium stands. They are $5 and is cheaper than gameklip which is around 15. Plus with the spider, i can form it to use it in my car etc.
Heres a video of spider podium + ps3 controller

Spider Podium, currently sold out. The genuine one is 20 bucks but I think even that is a better option than gameklip [if they even make it for the note 2] as I can mold it to any shape I want.
