CM 7 - [ Q ] - Notification Bar Help - Android Themes

I have THE LG Mytouch 4g (e739) running cm 7.2 RC. I have changed the notification bar icons to what I like using the 7zip method.When I finished doing everything I flashed the zip back to my phone.upon rebooting everything shows.
Well when I log into the Google account at first start up after about 15 seconds the network and 3g/4g status revert back to stock.
The Bluetooth still shows as custom icon as does all icons in pulldown menu.
If I just flash the rom and don't install gapps or sign into the account then network and 3g/4g custom status icons stick.even after reboot.
They only revert when I sign into my Google account
Screen shots below
Any help on fixxing this or am I out of luck.
Also where is it pulling the stock icons from.

I have replaced all icons. Fully / connected.
The only stock icons I can find on system are in the androidian.APk.. I am going to try and replace these tonight..
Maybe this will fix it

Have you looked in both the framework - res and systemui?

Yes.there is no 3g/4g or network icons in Res framework.
I did change the battery icons in Res framework but they never stuck ...

I replaced the 3g/4g and network icon in androidian and it still reverts.
If I flash rom and gapps custom icons stick.
Touch the android to begin setup of Google account-the custom icons still show
Setup Google account,I hit that and the custom icons still show
Sign in with your Google account,I enter my email and password then hit done.
It shows it connecting to the server.once done it revert back to stock icons...
If I don't sign in then they do not revert..
What is causing this?
I found out that if I force stop Google services the go from stock back to custom.
Once Google services starts they go to stock

[Q] Cant achieve transparent status bar on 2.3.4 JVP

for the couple of past days I tried to make the status bar (where the clock and the signal strength). I read alot.. tried to change stuff at SystemUI.apk but whit no success...
It seems to me that something is changed at this matter from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4.
If someone could take a look or maybe point something that can make it fail.
Thanks
bumpppppppp
Have you tried decompiling the framework.Res to get the image files and then pushing the new ones over via adb?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Thats what I tried to do..
but in SystemUI.apk
from what I read freamework-res.apk have no effect on the status bar..
in 2.3 SystemUI.apk is responsible for that
+1 that is exactly what I'm looking for, a complete transparent status bar , if it possible to modify for JVP roms.
Something like this :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Isn't there any solution?
If it's a PNG format graphic, maybe try overwriting it with a totally transparent file. Have you overwritten the status bar in all the different Res image folders (if applicable that is). I might go back to stock tonight and have a looksee at it to see if I can figure it out.

Thanks dear lttldvl
I'm waiting for your good news.
jvp_transparent_notification.zip
I downloaded this from this forum but i cant find which thread.
Is that what you are looking for?
Many thanks dear yken
I'm looking for transparent status bar, I think this is a transparent notification menu.
But, I think it can help me.
Thanks again.
Just look in ultimate online theme kitchen (i think it's uot.dakra.it)
There you upload your systemUI and activate the option "transparent satusbar" then let it cook.for you. And download the. Zip and flash it.through CWM

Tried that.
It doesnt do anything.
I did it also, but nothing happened, If you try to use a status bar with 0% transparency , You lose your status bar instead transparent it !
And after Restart everything came back.
Change launcher.
A lot of launcher don't support 32bit resolution which is needed for transparency.

I'm on GO Launcher EX.
Is there a problem with this launcher?
I'm on GO Launcher EX too.
yes, try to use stock touchwiz or another launcher that support 32-bit resolution.
16bit is used for performance
i hope, i can help

Acs theme flashable clock

OK so I've tried and tried to get the apk and insert it into my current rom using apktool and following the instructions in the how to mod thread but to no avail. If some kind soul would take time to get the circle clock and all the notification mods in the acs theme and make it flashable for the codenamedroid rom 1.2.0 cdma I would greatly appreciate it. If need be I'll send the framework apk or anything else that might be needed.

ICS - GTalk 4.0.3 - Fully Transparent

I have it inverted also in another thread in the Fascinate section but it's more of a Holo theme than Blacked Out...
This thread is for the Transparent Version tho. This is a huge accomplishment since I'm pretty sure this has never been done. There have been transparent Talks but none of them had the chat screen done also.. so this is really cool!..
I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOU OR YOUR PHONE
Installation Guide:
FOLLOW PRECISELY
1. http://bit.ly/403TalkNOmanifestEdit Download this zip file and flash it in recovery or rom manager... once the device reboots, check your talk.apk and make sure it's working.. it'll be partially themed. If so, reboot your phone again.
2. Once the phone reboots, download this http://bit.ly/403TalkTransparent and flash it in recovery or rom manager.. Once it reboots you should have a fully transparent GTalk.apk
3. If you lose Talk at any point or just wanna go back to stock, download this http://bit.ly/stock403Talk .. it's the stock Talk.apk and flash it
This install method is the only way I got it to work and credits to TravP for collaborating with me on getting this to install due to the weird GApps issues when we touch the manifest.
*known issues*
Only thing I can find is the notification pop up menu.. it's white with black text. We're still looking into this one...

I have a Fascinate, not a Gnex.. So I don't know if this will work on other ICS Roms. Feel free to try it and feel free to add them to a zip file that will support your device.. The zip file I used is from the GApps I installed with the rom just to ensure it installs.. I'll add a "how to" guide later for anyone that want's to know...
works great for me. one request, would it be too hard to still leave black on the top navigation bar? or maybe a darker tint of some sort... I use the awesome plasma live wallpaper and the part behind the name while in a chat is almost exactly the same color as the wallpaper.

Thanks for this B-boy. I'm digging all of this. Everything is working for me just as expected.
Was wondering if you might spread this love to contacts/people?
Whoaa its awesome bro...thx

Thanks guys... glad ya like it...
Its a tough app to theme since it has install issues so I plan on leaving it as is..
Contacts is a biyatch... it force closes the dialer so I plan on compiling it from source to invert it.. along with calendar and the built in keyboard....

Battery Mod for BO 2.0

As requested by arcane spade, here is a mod for BO 2.0 (or 2.0.1) to replace the battery icons with the icons from BO 1.1. As always, all credit goes to MT for his awesome rom... I just did some decompiling, copy and pasting, and apk building =)
To Install:
1. Download the appropriate zip file
2. Boot into Recover
3. Install Zip from sd card
4. Reboot
The mod can be downloaded here:
BO 1.1 Battery Mod
If you don't like the battery mod, download this zip to revert back to the BO 2.0 battery icons (Follow instructions above to install):
BO 2.0 Battery Restore
As long as you are running stock BO 2.0, this mod will not affect anything on your device other than the battery icons. This mod will also not interfere with my Right Align Clock Mod. Enjoy!
If you have a problem with the new battery icon being squished, reboot your phone. If that does not work, reinstall the Mod. I'm not sure why it happened to me once, but it fixed itself.

Thanks! Worked like a charm for me. Question: your shortcuts and launcher bar look very different, is that a theme you flashed?
I use adw launcher instead of experia and just use custom shortcuts to change the icons. I found a black icon pack online called Manhattan black or something like that. Then I added a white tint to the dockbar in adw settings.

Much thanks. It also changed the notification icons, loading icon, and the lock screen sliders witch I missed after theming, so it's like a win win win win for me
Awesome, I'm glad it worked well for you

Yes it should work but you will have to manually delete systemui.apk and systemui.odex first then copy the modded system ui and change permission to rwrr
