Alright, I rooted my device as soon as the option became available thanks to who ever found out how, I greatly appreciate it.
Now on to my issue, upon rooting the device I deleted the Yahoo Contact file, not knowing that this was Vital to my actual contact list. Several hundred crashes later I decided to look for a fix, what I stumbled upon seems to have helped every one but me. I got the fix contacts.zip I moved the files into my system/app folder I then changed the permissions of these files using Root Explorer.
/system/app/blur_yahoo.apk
/sytem/app/blur_yahoo.odex
/system/app/com.motorola.blur.provider.yahoo.apk
/system/app/YahooContacts
/system/app/YahooContacts.apk
/system/app/YahooContacts.obex
After doing that I rebooted but to no avail the contacts still aren't working. I am at a loss of what to do please if any one could help I would be forever grateful.

Alright I'll go and do that now.
What did you set the permissions to? It will be 644(All read and only owner write)

Update: I just went through all my permissions and it is finally working again. Thank you for your time and help . What I don't understand is what made it work, I'm going to try and figure it out but thanks again.
it is the yahoo mail authenticator causing the problem. you can freeze the yahoo contact though
I downloaded it from both links to make sure. When I go to install ZIP from SD card, I get the following message:
Installing: /sdcard/RevoltRom1.5.zip
Finding update package…
Opening update package…
E:Can’t open /sdcard/RevoltRom1.5.zip
(bad)
Installation aborted.
I would post this in the Revolt thread, but it keeps saying I don't have permission to post there. Any ideas?

With you 100% there. No offense, but I think that rule is lame. Forums don't want you posting 'like threads' about a subject, yet you aren't allowed to post there. Maybe something that should be changed? Does it really take a user that has posted at least 10 posts to 'have experience'? I know what I am doing..
Ok, now that my gripe is out of the way... LoL
I get the same error. I think there is something wrong with the zip file. I downloaded directly to my phone twice. I am now downloading it to my computer that I am on and going to see if I can open the zip file there. If so, may try re-zipping and copying to my phone and seeing if that helps.
I will report back on result...

Ok, so in addition to my last post....
I downloaded file to my computer.
Unzipped file (Using 7zip if that makes any difference)
Rezipped files (again, using 7zip, NORMAL compression)
Copied to phone, reboot recover, installed!!
Hope this helps others until the file is fixed by mtmichaelson.
Loved the startup animation. cool. Can't wait to check out more. Use my phone for internet and wanted to post this asap for others to see.

Sounds like it didn't get signed before he uploaded it. Or maybe the wrong compression method.

Thanks guys for the heads up!!! Will have fix posted in about 10 minutes!!! And Cybie, good job with figuring out the fix! CWM files can be sensitive sometimes lol! Since I screwed up, the new 1.5 post has an added bonus! Check out the Dev section!!!
He updated the OP with a working version guys!!! I also just released "Iconic HD Revolted" that will flash over 1.5.
Working now. Thanks All!
Glad I was able to help figure out that it was just a bad zip file. Sometimes those things just happen.

mtmichaelson,
You mentioned the need for a guinea pig for the V6 radio update. Worst case scenario is that it bricks my phone, correct? How likely is that to occur? If it does, is it irreversible?
If there is at least some way of restoring the phone, I'm game. If there's not, I may be acquiring a "throwaway" Revo in the next few days, which I'd happily donate to the Revolt cause. I'll get back to you to confirm that before the end of the week.
/*/*/*/*/*/
I'll go ahead and echo the sentiment of dislike for that rule regarding the Dev forum. I have over 10 posts and still can't post there; have I been blacklisted? 0.o

EDIT: Just kidding. My browser is just stupid.
Hey guys, I am very frustrated right now because I have been trying to root my phone for over 5 hours and have not gotten anywhere. This is my first time rooting, and I really would appreciate your guys knowledge and help. I have windows, and I have been reading and watching videos and downloading all kinds of things. I tried following the steps in htconeroot.com and I watched the whole video tutorial, and I couldn't even get the htc one root zip downloaded to my computer... Can someone please help me, I am completely lost. I feel like I have just been reading and trying things that are outdated and/or the links do not work anymore. Thank you very much, as I am in need right now and I would really like to get my phone rooted as soon as possible.
Thanks again!

Hey, thank you very much for helping out BD,
I am just learning all this stuff so sorry if I may not know what to do on very basic steps.
My first question is,
on step 5 on htcdev bootloader, it tells me to type in a command. I typed it and I got this, "fastboot is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"
Sorry man, if you get me through this lol I promise I will get you some fine Costa Rican coffee! I want to get it done, I hope you can be here guiding me and I am very thankful!
Howdy,
You need to download all the drivers and add bundle. Which OS do you use on your computer? For the adb get it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474956
If you need any further assistance just tell and I can make a quick video for you.
Cheers

Open the cmd window from the folder with all the files that you downloaded
Download and install this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790 and check the desktop shortcut in the setup. Run the new desktop shortcut and type commands there. Put the unlock token bin in the install folder. You can do this by right clicking the shortcut and clicking open file location and drag the token there.
All the files are under download, I went to the cmd window and typed download. Man, I have no idea how to do any of this stuff. I am completely new to all of this. I downloaded the files but then I don't even know if I am suppose to do anything with them...
I will restart again, as if I have not downloaded anything at all...
My first steps should be following the bootloader instructions on HTCdev, and at step 4 I download the files and then extract them to another folder. Then I should go hit start, type cmd. Click cmd, and type that stuff? That is what I did, where did I go wrong?
If you can wait for a bit I can make a video guide, if you wish? Just tell, cheers

I really appreciate you guys on not giving up on me, BD should I download the root files before doing anything else?
Also, since I feel like an idiot about this stuff. Because everyone seems to have no problems and I can't even unzip a file or open a command. I had to google to even know what unzipping a file meant.
Is there any files I should have on my computer prior to attempting to download anything else in the guide? Also, should I just make a folder and name it something like androidroot, and then whenever I download a file, copy it to the desktop and try to open it?

Hey guys, I have gotten past all that other stuff and I just got my unlock pin code on my email, I ran into a problem saving it. Whenever I tried to save it, i get a message saying windows can't open the file that it needs to know what program to use to open the file? What should I do in this part, and sorry about my questions before, I just had to read more and explore the links you provided, before I started watching the video link I was trying to follow every step on htcdev

It askes me to use a program to open the file with, the guy on the video is able to just save it with no problem on his desktop then move it to the root file. Whenever it gives me options to manually select the program I can choose to open the bin and I click the root folder, the options of programs it gives me are th HTC driver, fastboot, cmd, another folder saying stock recovery and boot images, and adb?
I have no clue, it doesn't give me an option to just save it to the desktop like how the guy in the vid did. Plus it says windows can't open the file and it asks me to search the web for a program to open the file or to just open the file with an already installed program, I just dont know what program to choose.
Thanks for sticking with me, really appreciate it.

Yeah I did both, the problem is it doesn't give me an option to save as because its on my email (gmail.) I'm using firefox webbrowser, the only options I have is to hit the download arrow or show in drive. If I right click it, the options are
back, forward, bookmark this page or save page as, background image. Just the regular options.

Ok go into setting/about/software/more and tap the build number 7 times it will enable developer options
then go to settings/dev options and UNcheck then re-check USB Debugging you will now get a popup on your phone with an RSA number check the box that says always allow from this PC and hit OK.
Your device should show as device rather then offline
Anybody successfully auto-fix a CM10/11 theme and able to apply it using this Xposed module? I have been playing around with apktool and decompiling / recompiling but no dice.. maybe if someone smart could give this a try or share there tips ..
Yeah I got it to work on 2 or 3. I've noticed that "Denite's" and the "Cobalt" themes work fairly easily. I had issues with "better kat" line of themes and a few others on that same line /developer.
---------- Post added at 11:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:54 AM ----------
All you're doing pretty much is decompiling the theme of choice and placing the folders/files from that theme into the appropriate folders it ask for. Then recompile and sign using the tools that it prompts you to download during the first step.
---------- Post added at 12:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:59 AM ----------
It took me several times to figure it out. Oh and make sure you take the apk tools folder and place it where it says to in the instructions and every freaking time it errors and says cannot find blah blah folder. Notice where it says it can't find it at. And put the folders mentioned there. I'm not sure if it tells where to in the instructions or not. That might have been what gave me issues in the beginning.

Yeah i noticed i get those errors too... it seems pretty straight forward which is why i'm a little confused as to why i cant get it to work lol... i'm going to try what you said. That seems like my exact issue to, i get everything decompiled but when i go to compile/sign i get those error messages.
Yeah I think it was built on or for a device with ext SD. So where its placing the folders with the tools , smali and such is in the wrong sdcard which is our only sdcard. Or its the folders you supposed to place the decompiled theme in. Can't remember its been a min. But I believe if you go to
/data/data and scroll to close to the bottom that's where its putting it. Can't remember where it supposed to actually be.
When i download a game, with APK+OBB file, i can install the APK, but when i try to move the game data folder to the Android/obb folder it doesn't work, it doesn't even display the process, i click move and then nothing happens, i tried with other apps, same problem, but when i connect the phone to the PC, it works correctly and i can move the folder, what can i do to make this possible directly on my phone? [not rooted, android 9] (i'm sorry for eventual bad english, i'm from Italy, and i'm still learning it)
