!!!FOR MISUNDERSTANDING, I TELL THIS TEAM WILL NOT ONLY BUILD FOR SGY BUT ALSO FOR SGM!!!
Team MIU-Y is hiring. Team MIU-Y is a ROM development team. This will focus on building ROMs based on not working ROMS such as CM7 just to give you the look of CM7 and make you feel, yes, you have a CM7 working phone. This name can be changed depending on the Votes. MIU-Y is just for reference. Though I know that Galaxy MINI has MIUI, I require some devs to help me through to make something like MIUI for the "Good-for-nothing" Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360.
Prior knowledge required (AT LEAST TWO) -
Resizing and changing icons
Building ROMs with dsixda kitchen (Not mandatory)
Themeing knowledge
Framework-res and tw-framework knowledge

I want people from as many devices as possible. This team is "RIGHT NOW" developing for SGY. As soon as it is complete, I will require some files from your phone. So I am hiring EVERYONE... So if you want to become a tester, the more the tester the better.
Tell if you are in.

kang crap?bugs?
1.only chinese kernels have multitouch fully fixed
2.this rom has all functions working and fully smooth sense 4.1
3.I don't understand why venom doesn't give permission to post this rom, because anyway this rom will be installed on many devices,i just must to send rom link to everybody in PM now

1. are they providing kernel source? if so, link it and im sure the kernel devs here will add it in...if not, its not gpl compliant
2. they took someone elses rom (virtuous) and fixed some stuff, great...tell them to provide fixes back to the guys who did 99% of the work....and they arent using a full sense 4.1 rosie, unless they resized one themselves (doubt it)
3. if we provide access to tweaks, they d be in every rom, and nothing would be unique...we do not give permission...
and these guys dont care and just steal whatever they want that isnt theirs to take...linking to this garbage on xda, just pisses all of us (team venom, cant speak for virtuous) off...we cant control what is done in the wild west of chinese forums where theft and piracy are the norm, but seeing it on legitimate development sites like xda is gross...these guys even disable tweak protection in our app (which requires roms to have Viper in them for tweaks to work) so they can call it whatever they want
/end rant

I don't wish to offend you and venom team,i respect venom's hard work of tweaks and ROM's,and so i respect chinese associates.maybe, some of them are stealing rom files, but only they made most useful rom.I hadn't seen any analog or better version of sense 4.1 rom's in "incredible s development".
But more and more people are writing to me in pm,deleting links was useless.

as soon as a moderator reads this u are at risk of getting banned ! why u want to get BANNED
12. Using the work of others.
If you are developing something that is based on the work of another Member, you MUST first seek their permission, and you must give credit to the member whose work you used. If a dispute occurs about who developed / created a piece of work, first try to settle the matter by private message and NOT in open forum. If this fails then you may contact a moderator with clear evidence that the work was created by you.
Convincing evidence will result in copied work being removed. If there is no clear evidence you created the work then in the spirit of sharing all work will remain posted on the forums.
As an addition, developers have the right to hold exclusivity over their work for as long as it is deemed necessary by the dev or freely share it. However, if the work is claimed as exclusive, it must remain as such. No selective sharing will be allowed (ie allowing certain people to use it and not others). Should the dev decide to start sharing the work with others, the work automatically becomes fair game for all to use.
In regards to permissions, same rules remain for this but if permission was already given, unless there is a very valid reason, it cannot be revoked (same applies to major updates on the work). Under that same premise, permissions cannot be denied unless the work is exclusive or under severe circumstances.
In plain English: If you want to keep your work exclusive, go for it. However, if you are going to share your work, do it fairly.
These rules apply to all software posted on XDA (including but not limited to ROMs, RUUs, apps, games, kernels, themes, icons, etc) unless that software comes with a license that waives these rules.

Thread closed because it doesn't serve any purpose.
Not sure where else to post this, so here goes -
There's always quite a bit of quality development on these forums; enough that it can be difficult to find what you're looking for. I wanted to give my feedback about how individuals' forum-research might be more efficient.
[Original] android development forums might be subdivided, e.g. Kernels; ROMs; other fixes / improvements; etc
Other "index by-" options such as all work in that forum from a particular developer, or all work on a particular android version
A super-thread with all ROMs (and possibly kernels) with a brief description, such as android version, elements working/not working, and a voting template to include the summarized key points of the reviews (so as to obviate the need for 100+ page reading)
-Love XDA, and appreciate all the hard work by devs + mods, just thought these changes might make their efforts more accessible. Cheers!
Nice!
I realize I'm probably talking to myself but beautifully done! Love the new format.

Hey Guys,
My name is Krupal Ashoccumar owner and part of the Dravite Team of 3 who has developed the HomeUX.
HomeUX picked up quite well and has 90k installs now with a lot of positive feedbacks from the users but because of uni commitments and budget our team were not able to finish the project and squash out all the bugs. Our team loves this launcher and we don't want to leave this project incomplete so we will like to go open source and ask other developers to join.
HomeUX will obviously be free and works on all the other devices but because we mainly tested it on OPO and more stable on this device.
Please let me know if anyone is interested and I can provide you with the access to source code and dev console.
hi @mastermind131 i have just started with android development and i have only made simple apps like calculator etc. i would like to join and try to contribute to my fullest and learn as well. thank you.
Hey Guys, Lets make the awesome launcher more awesome. Please include me in the dev list. I am interesting, i had also a sent mail through the Playstore link. Expecting to hear from you soon.

Is there still any development for HomeUX? The Launcher looked really promising, but then I lost progress of it and now I just discovered that the Launcher got discontinued as it seems, as I can't access the Google Play Page. Is there any possibility to include me in the Dev Team or upload the Code to GitHub or any other platform so that people can help out or build forks from it?
Greetings.
Hi guys,
Seems Samsung has released the opensource codes for galaxy a70 (sm-705gm) in Samsung open release center. Link given below.

If can be used to build custom roms and twrp, please go ahead.

This was the situation with Lenovo p2. But dev's eventually got in and now they have a great development curve.... the p2 users donated money for one dev to buy p2 for development and well. That was initiated by a user. And development kickstarted soon after.

But first, we need to organize users who would be able and willing to donate. Once enough people are there and we can figure out on total if the amount offered is sufficient enough, we can start contacting dev's. After we have a dev ready to help, then start pooling in money and purchase the set and send ot to the dev.

just a heads up. according to XDA rules. donation threads have to be created by the developer itself who is interested in the device development. he has to green lit such a thread with an XDA admin. if it gets created by forum users it gets closed pretty soon as it is against the rules.
so first step would be finding an recognized developer willing to spend his free time on the device.

two options comes to mind.
A: look into devs that were or still are maintaining Samsung (Snapdragon based) phones and might be interested in the A70.
B: look into devs that maintain a device that has the same SoC (or SoC family) as those devs will have less than half as much work (it does depend on how far the kernel deviated from code aurora code) to maintain a second device if they have already established the knowledge on the primary device.
E.T.A. Unknown..

The Operative Phrase Here Is: "Still Maintaining Samsung (Snapdragon Based) Phones".
In the U.S... Samsung Snapdragon devices have their bootloaders locked down.. ( Per Carrier's Request ) so you have Zero ROM Development..
IMO.. you have to love this device for what it brings to the table stock ( Widvine L1, Themes, AR Emoji, UI, Gaming etc ) just in case nothing Custom sprouts..

WE HAVE REACHED OUR TARGET, THANKS TO ALL THE CONTRIBUTORS AND A SPECIAL THANKS TO @B1||41DS
@33bca has worked on Many Xiaomi Devices before
He is the Official AOSPA(Paranoid) Developer https://gerrit.aospa.co/q/owner:fabian.leutenegger%40bluewin.ch
His github: https://github.com/33bca
and also a Recognized Developer over XDA
Guys our device is short of pro developer who can develop device tree so we talk to a pro developer and obviously if he develop then he needs the device, if the fundraiser succeds can do wonder to our device
Please I encourage entire community to take it seriously and contribute to make this a successful one.
We must safeguard our development for both Willow and ginkgo.
Here's my donation
https://i.imgur.com/esdcydJ.jpg
Pls do any possible donation there is no minimum limit.
The RN8 community actually took a poll in the telegram groups to confirm members voluntary intentions to crowdfund the device to the Dev, and feedback was overwhelming. As we all agree and accept this voluntary step is crucial to rapidly and effectively grow development for RN8 device, we the community don't just want ROM, or Kernels but Bugless as possible through a real recognized Dev who knows his code, to be safe, secured with open source ethics at heart. I will strongly recommend and advice others members to actively join this cause and make it a success
Remember; It is voluntary and we are not forcing anyone
It's just my opinion but, every donation will return to community ×100000 in the form of rock solid, vivid and high quality development. No need to rip off anyone's pockets, if we do this in a spirit of collectivity. Thus said, lets put our alm on this effort.
Everyone should contribute for this because it make our redmi note 8 more stable on development.
The crowd funding has been a successful one. Thanks to all who donated their hard earned money in this cause and a special thanks to @b1||41ds for making this contribution successful.
Don't want to be rude but is there any progress being made?

Regarding v development? Yes. Wip on trees.
does dev still need donations cuz i will donate 7 cad if fundraiser hasnt reached its goal yet. edit: i didnt read the title
I'm not on the Telegram groups, so what I say might be irrelevant/obsolete, but woud you guys consider doing the same thing with developer @Dyneteve, if they do not yet have a willow or ginkgo device? I for one would be happy to contribute, as many kernel/device trees I've been looking at seem to come (more or less directly) from some of their work, and they're anyhow thanked in many ROMs I've been using.
What a successful fundraising it was ^^. I wanted to ask though are there now more chances for cameras to be fixed in android 10?
Thanks!
