Your phone seems to be Samsung Epic 4G, right?
you should use the roms posted in the following section
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=713
and use the Q&A section of that phone.. you'll get better support there
???
its the same phone so what difference does it make?

I'm the happy owner of a new Galaxy Tab on Sprint. Searching these forums and Samfirmwares, I cannot find a firmware package for Sprint (CDMA).
Anyone know why this is? I think Verizon folks are in the same boat.
Reason I ask is that I want to start deoxexing the device for theming and other stuffs, but I always want an Odin-based flash to get me back to stock when/if I dork something up.
In the same boat here can't find the sprint firmware

Might be nice if the mods listened and made a Sprint section.

Or we could just use the Sprint thread.
Ey guys,
i bought a samsung galaxy s i9088 in china.
I just took a look at the captive wiki and it has the exact same specs and stuff.
I also want to root my phone, should i use the i9000 or captive thread?
or is this phone not able to get rooted?
Thanks, and sorry for my noobiness :<

According to this, it looks to be an i9000 variant. I would refer to the i9000 forum for most things, but rooting is the same across most galaxy S devices.

thank you so much
I have tried numerous roms with this tab since I have bought it, all 4.0+.
I didn't try any Gingerbread roms much, and flashed cm9 almost as soon as I bought it.
No rom remains stable without force closing every app upon launching for more than a week. Even the stable 9.1.0 CM9.
Is this a frequent problem with ICS/JB? I had the same problem with a family member's Ainol Novo Elf II, which i just shipped back for returns because of it.
Or is this problem hardware related, being that no rom will work?
Also I tried to flash Galaxy Cubed from the latest CM10, but it gave me an error.
Is there a file to restock this tablet? Such as an sbf file like some phones use?
Please don't flame me for not researching, because I tried with google, but it left a lot to be desired, and much of the info is now outdated.
Thank You for your help in advance!!
you can try EF17 stock rooted rom from this one.

Thank You! I will try that tomorrow. My tab is Verizon CDMA, that shouldn't make a difference even though that says sprint correct?
should not matter, but actually I don't have a CDMA device.
Only so far seems like that thread has the working stock rom for CDMA.
I guess you can use it just to restock, put CWM, then you can put Galaxy Cubed
Thread moved. Please post in the correct section in future.
Thanks

Hey guys. Does anyone here still keep the old Froyo flash files? Could you please upload it for me? Sammobile had removed it. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

First of all, Wrong section mate! Always post such questions in the Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 Q/A section. The following 2 links are the only stock Froyo firmwares for Galaxy Ace S5830 that I could find. I haven't personally tried it so use it at your own risk. Here is the link,
Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 2.2.1 Froyo Official Rom - S5830XXKB1_221
Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 FROYO 2.2.1 XXKC1
Hope I Helped

Just a question why do you want froyo?

For me... Froyo reminds me of the time when I bought my very 1st android phone & the joy I had. It's UI & animation style still amuses me. I didn't expected that someday it'll be running ics or jellybean or kitkat.
On a different note: if any serious issue occurs...where flashing stock gingerbread couldn't help either...then flashing froyo is the ultimate & right choice for the health of ur phone
