I've thanked like 7 billion posts and my user profile says I'm a impolite moocher...what gives?
I think im in the wrong area....i feel cold and alone....

Yeah the thanks meter on the side, i just noticed it wasnt working on mine and working on some. and oh boy an exaggeration, god forbid we put those in posts to spice things up a bit. it's not like i'm posting a problem with a rom....
I just realized the thanks meter probably means the amount of time you've been thanked...now the thread has no point... moderator delete at will lol

My phone is haunted

Yesterday i noticed that a process was going wild and i could't find it in the system and therefore i could not kill it. You can read more about it in this thread.
As you can read in the other thread i managed to fix it, but that's not the end of the story. There's a new parasite in town:

The funny part this time is that i deleted Watchdog yesterday, and it has manifestet itself into a battery sucking "thing" while i have been sleeping. I managed to make it go towards the light with an exorcist aka ROM Manager today, but i think it's strange that this happens, and i certainly do not understand why it happens.
Any thoughts? And yes, i think it's appropriate to post this here this time since i'm not really interested in the science behind this but some typical off-topic fun. Is this the spirit of the dog in watchdog? Is it still protecting me from evil spirits (malware), or was it only here to steal my power?

I know this doesn't help you... But what app us that? The one you took a screenshot of?

Meh. I've had "ghost processes" before. Tell it firmly but kindly to go into the light...DL a new ROM (or reinstall the old one) a do a clean install...ghost dog gone...

Post flash issues.

Hey guys, iv scanned the forum for hints and tips with my SGS since i got it a year ago and has always been very helpful, now iv hit a wall. I had the wonderful problem of trying to update the firmware and ended up getting bricked. So after scratching my head for a few hours and lots of huffing i sorted it. Anyway, i worked out how to flash it etc but now the phones gyro thingy wont work and i cant turn it to landscape and its now forever crashing and is now really slow. Help!?

Feel allowed to learn and to try by youself

Try to re-flash same/different firmware with full wipe. That should fix the problem. Had same issues when were trying to downgrade from 2.3.3 to 2.2.1

You guys need a DUHHH smiley, i checked back to the firmware site i originally went to and discovered that i had picked what i think maybe like a universal firmware or something, scrolled back up the list and found the one for my network provider

This early packaged update for the Market(Oops-my apologies; "Play", is what I suppose I should say now, lol )is much appreciated Simms! Nothing wrong with 3.4.6 that I could notice- but its always nice to be ahead of the curve. I'm on Pete's most recent BB ROM version from March 2nd, and I can say surely that this new update to 3.4.7 is just as solid as the last, and 100% ready for our Nexus S'-so why wait and delay the inevitable? ;-)
