How do I find out which one will be the right one to flash? The only thing I can remember when I first got my Note was something KJ4. When I am looking at this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997 it has different KJ4 roms to download but how do I know which country I can use ?

Hello, i have one piece I9000 running on 2.1 and flashed it with ODIN to 2.1 JPJG8. I now want to install lagfix on it. Can someone instruct me how to do it?
what type of lagfix do u want ? there is a simple one called 'one click lag fix' (OCLF) available in market. or there is voodoo or speedmod.. have a look in the android development section you will see them all in there

Which one to you recommend, im running on 2.1 version JPJG8? ALso, give me link...thank you.
Well checked the site you recommended and found OCLF ok...I wish to install Stock ROM using ODIN. After that can i just root the phone and then install lagfix?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=822756 - this is speedmod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=823300 - this is voodoo
i use speedmod but i am not saying that is the best one, i have also used voodoo, they are similar but it all boils down to personal choice there is no best / worst
also read through the whole thread before going ahead with it, make sure its compatible with your device and make sure you know how to recover if something goes wrong.
Ok, thanks for the info bro...i'll check out your link

Now i see a blue circle instead of my network logo. Can you help me?

My phone was originally European 2.1 or 2.2 firmware though can't recall exact version. Can u suggest me latest compatible firmware? Also, can you tell me if there are issues on upgrading or downgrading galaxy s phones?

Lol, even I've forgotten mine because I bought it from Orange....I think all the 2.2.1 works...mine is I9000XXJPU(I've tried to flash I9000XXJPY, but failed )anyway, no need to recall back your original firmware, just take any 2.2.1 firmwares and flash it...but be careful, because there are possibilities to brick your SGS even though the risk is small....
Can you recommend any 2.2 european firmware i can flash with? I dont want 2.2.1 since i think its risky.

Can i downgrade to I9000XXJM2 2.1 from I9000JPJG8 2.1?
I dont really understand roms and flash so forgive me.

Hello,
I'm trying to set my i9001 back to the stock 2.3.6 rom with value pack, but i have a bootloop. I think this is caused by the kernel or either the rom isn't right.
I have a lot of difficulties finding the stock rom, lot's of download links are not available anymore. Does anyone have working links for the stock DUTCH ROM?
I'm also in need of the stock 2.3.6 kernel. Where can i find that one?
Thanks.
ps i've searched to the forums but couldn't find the answer

I've searched all over the internet for this firmware. Either the file was deleted or the link is broken. That's why I made this thread.

Hello,
I was going to download a firmware for my Note II since I want to take it back to stock and sell it but my Country isn't listed on the Drop-Down on sammobile.com. What do you do in this case? Do you choose a country closest to yours or something?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello.. You have posted in the wrong forum as this is not a NOTE II forum. But typically, choose the one closest to your country will do

Oh, right! N700 is Note I?
Sorry and thanks for the answer!
Another quick question regarding the same thing. Is there anywhere else to download the firmwares except sammobile.com? I don't even see a download link there and I remember downloading a FW for my GS3 on a very sluggish site.
Thanks

If you want a stock firmware, I think sammobile is the best. type sammobile.com/firmware and it will take you to the download page. Just type your device N7100 in the firmware box.
