Hi!! can anyone help me root lg optimus the handset is on gingber bird 2.3.6 and i wish to update it to jelly bam....kindly help me with step by step procedure.

confirm if your device is the LG O2X P990.you can check that from the settings>about phone
use the superclick method to get the root on GB.....but you can use the thread which is for rooting....by Trymhansen.
it is a series of procedures you need to follow....
jellybamn is on old boot loader....so dont change or update to ICS by LG update tool. but this is not supported on daily basis....just to inform you.

I have a lg optimus 2x and the andriod version of it is 2.2.2 and i want to upgrade it to ICS the problem is i downloaded some of the ROMs but the question is does the ROMs I've downloaded compatible with my phone?.. Im a newbie here so please help me on the steps on how to upgrade my phone.....
PLEASE HELP ME.... coz I dont know what to do

You should normally have LG software shipped with the device.
Connect the phone to the pc with the software installed....all it to update by itself and then you will be on ics automatically....
If you need a custom ROM you can think of it later

[Q] Need some help with rooting

Hello guys! I wanna root my LG Optimus 4X HD but unfortunatly, it dosen't go very well for me... I've followed the instructions such as making sure that USB debugging is ticked, that the drivers are installed etc. But the problem is that when I try to launch the IS11LG_SystemBackupTest.signed.apk, it craches... what can the solution be? I live in sweden if that can help in any way. Please respond as soon as possible!

you're using 4.0.3 root method on 4.1.2 device. find the topic for 4.1.2 rooting

my lg 4x HD sooooo slow and freezing

HI everybody,
my phone is sooo slow to open any app and sometimes keep freezing ,i update tthe fw but it gone worth i formated the phone 2 times

what rom are you using? if you are on stock you should consider to try some custom rom

im on the stock rom ,if i root itit gonna be faster ???

Try to use CM10.1.3 stable version .
You can get it from here : http://get.cm/get/aYU
You need an unlocked bootloader and custom recovery to install this .

i dont know what happen i try to root my phone using smartflash and i thought it was done, but my carrier is broken "NO SIGNAL"

Tantrums is from the Philppines, and his Marvel 9 ROM worked for him. You may want to give that a go.

I'm guessing you are rooted (you should have "Superuser" in your apps, and be able to successfully launch it). If not:

You'll also want this patch to disable an annoying delay when answering the phone (I line the constant ring, not the cascading):

The instructions are in the first Marvel 9 thread post by Tantrums. You'll want to download CWM ROM Manager from the Plat Store to do the magic.
And have some lumpia when you finish. You'll deserve it.
