Anyone else noticing the clock sometimes being off at times after the Gingerbread update? A phone reboot always gets it back, but sure is annoying to have to do that.
Happens when you fall off the networkif you enable your data it fixes right away...It happens on a daily basis with me cuz of where I work ...my phone jumps on and off the signal so I just keep data enabled and the problem fixes as soon as I get signal...hope that helps

After updating to FRF91, I notice two things.
1) My phone froze at least 3 times since the update when I tried to make a phone call. I had to remove the battery and restart it.
2) My calls are now less clear even with my blue-tooth. When I call someone, they and I will hear static. Sometimes the static is really bad. (no, I am not holding it the wrong way )
Anyone have similar issues?
My Nexus One is NOT rooted.
stock 2.1 to FRF50(manual install)->FRF83(manual install)->FRF91(OTA install)
No issues here. Clean install.
I would agree it seems buggy to me also; it could be the manual update path of updating, but im def getting some wonkyness.
When im on edge at my house, it always seems like WIFI is on demand and not connected (This differs from what my phone used to do and i also have wifi to never sleep); so when i try to access something intially i get a network error then the Wifi connects; then i connect even though im on edge which used to connect albeit slow.
A slight jerkiness when I longpress to remove widgets; don't remember that one previously.
Very erratic battery life; seems to be due to network switching from 3g to edge to wifi; can't really confirm that though; not real rogue apps on my device that are running, but who knows.
Car dock has been giving some force close issues from time to time which didn't really occur previously.
FRF83 more stable
I was thinking of trying to go back to FRF83 as that seems more stable.
I will first try to do a factory reset and see what happens after that.

let me know how that works out; I may do the same. Maybe go back and ota update.
I applied the full FRF85B when I did mine, and wiped cache / format user data from the boot loader. That cleared up issues.
gmail stopped working properly for me.
I have had some issues with my phone freezing up too but my trackball would still flash when i got alerts. I think it might be related to trackball alert because now that I have uninstalled it i haven't gotten any freezes.
I did the factory reset and I no longer have any problems. I am still waiting to see if my dialing still freezes randomly though.

I'm still on frf83 and found that flashing the frf91 gapps has somewhat reduced the freezes/reboots.
My XDA app freezes for a couple of seconds before it responds. Is this app up to date for frf91?

1. Going into Gmail it takes forever to display emails (usually shows the "loading icon" for 10-20 seconds) as if it is only then connecting to the server and downloading new/old emails.
2. Caller ID still does not keep settings when rebooting.
3. Task Managers don't actually seem to kill tasks anymore. Have tried multiple with settings to auto-kill 10 minutes after the screen goes off ... 5 hours later the programs are still running. Obviously just KILLS battery life.

Yeah, obviously, you're using auto-kill, it probably tries over and over and over when they don't actually close.
Stop using auto-kill. Even if it worked you will get less battery life by killing tasks. Read up about it. Only reason to EVER kill something is if it isn't acting nicely and has a bug that keeps using CPU or keeps the phone awake.
Factory Reset works almost all the time
If you got problems after update you should allways wipe (factory reset)
As the title states, im having problems with the timer function after the update.
Before i could set the timer and let it run in the background while the screen is off.
But now, as soon as i press the power-button and the screen goes blank, the timer stoppes! This is really bugging me since its a function a use alot.
Anybody has any ideas as to why this happens? Can you test and report back to me if you are noticing the same?
Thx!
*Edit*
The timer actually resets when i hit the home button and the screen is turned off using the power-button. It resumes from start again when i re-enter the timer. Is this how it should be?
Sounds like a VT_ALARM signal

Im sorry.
I dont quite understand what you mean?
Once again my timer got reset.
I had the timer going, and i recieved a call. When i returned to check the timer, it had reset to start, but was counting down.
The button under the time said start, even though the timer was running. So this seems like a bug to me. Any thoughts?
I get the same issue on mine. I'm running GB as well. 2.2 was fine.
Thank you for reporting in. "Glad" to hear im not the only one with the problem.
This is the the third thing the GB updage has damaged for me. 1 is the battery time (lost about 10 hours) 2 is gps issu, and 3 is the timer problem..
Not that it's any help to you, but this is not happening with v20G (UK open).

Okei.
Have you had any other problems? Gps problems, battery problems after GB update?
Im trying to figure out if there is a connection between the bugs im now facing after the GB update. Cause everything worket fine before.
The battery seems slightly better if anything, but I can't be sure on that as I only updated yesterday.
Will try the GPS out and let you know, as I'm out and about a bit later on today.

GPS took around 30 seconds to get a lock while outside, which is slower than it was on 2.2, but when it did get a lock it was accurate and remained so as I walked into my local town.

Okey. Thank you for sharing!
Hey, my wifi always goes out and needs to be restarted while using ICS. at first it would happen like three times a day. now its a couple itmes an hour. it is very very very annoying. does anyone know a fix for this???
I don't have this problem, but do you have a wifi-sleep timer set up? Maybe an app is doing something?
No i dont. This issue was posted before in the threads but never had a solution. I always wipe EVERYTHING so i dont know why this happens with me.

It's not just you. I get MANY wifi drops as well. I don't use it often, but when I do, I get a drop every 15 minutes or so. It happens very randomly: as in not when I'm loading a page, just randomly I'll see the logo go white then disappear.
My solution? A frustrated sigh and a switch of wifi on and off.

when using fullscreen apps and just even regular browsing its a b*tch. I tried the wifi fixer app but it didnt help. Im clueless
This has been an issue for me since the first ics rom. None since have fixed it or addressed it to my knowledge.

I did no have this problem on the AOKP 4/12 build, but do have it now on the 4/30 build. No idea why.
The audio issue is also ALOT worse for me. most of my phone calls do the silence thing where there is no audio. Today it caused me to run into alot of trouble. i hope these issues get fixed soon. I think it was the bluetooth updates in the changelog that caused the problems to occur more. As they are supposed to be bluetooth related. Unforunately i might have to go back to gingerbread
I am able to use 1x data & WIFI on ICS Rom only. Neither WiFi or Data works with Stock ROM.
Before It used to work in Stock ROM, but now it does not. So I am sticking to CM9
I have this issue too but I use juice defender. I only really use it for 2 functions
1. Enable WiFi when I'm home (constantly on) and disable when I'm away
2. Turn off data at night from 1am to 6am
when i flashed ICS the effectiveness is shady. A lot of times when i turn on the screen wifi is disabled but will reenable after a few seconds during the day. also at night sometimes it won't disable until later than 1am and will randomly enable and disable at like 4 am or something. sucks because i'll randomly get a bunch of notifications for emails twitter etc. and it will wake me up.
No-one appears to have had this issue on this phone yet, and not for this exact reason, which makes me think it's only a small error somewhere. (I hope)
Ever since I got it about a month ago, even before I rooted it or did anything to it, it would randomly reboot with no particular pattern. I've since discovered it's specifically caused by the wifi being left on, and the phone left locked for more than about 15 minutes, regardless of whether any apps are open at all. All in all it only happens when wifi is on, and it's not charging or being used. When being used it never happens, and when it's plugged into USB or the wall charger it never happens, and never when just network data is on, no wifi. And I can leave it with both wifi and data off and it will happily standby for it's whole battery life with no issues.
What is the wifi doing when I leave it locked? does anyone know specifically why it causes this?
Anyone? I use wifi way way more than my data, i want to be able to put it down for 10 minutes!

Try updating the firmware. This might help...

There may be a corrupted apk somewhere that would be active only when Wi-Fi is on (note that there are some services that are still running in the background even if you think they are none , they are not that easy to find and will most likely restart if you kill them , but it's ok because they need to run) . Reflashing the stock firmware with Odin should do the trick.
Also I presume you haven't overclocked it . If you did , lower down the max frequency a little .
FInally , are there any heating issuses when this happens ?
i've had the same issue with the mini 1. it was gone after i have flashed the stock firmware on it.
my mini 2 has no reboot problems (yet).
Try setting wifi sleep policy to "never" of you have at option in settings>wifi>advanced.
Alternatively, it could be called keep wifi on during sleep, turn it to "always"

Yes! this fixed it! thankyou so much man, I hadn't ever discovered that there was an advanced section to the wifi, finally I can leave my phone unattended without worrying about it rebooting!
Does anyone else think this update was half baked?
I'm having a lot of issues with the new update. Bluetooth keeps skipping like a scratched cd, Wifi won't connect just keeps requesting ip from router then I have to shut off wifi and turn it on manual to connect, I really need to fix these problem any suggestions.
Can I roll back to 2.3 stock some how?
Are there any other good forums for this phone?
I love it. No problems with Wi-Fi. As a matter of fact, to get Wi-Fi to work in gb,I had to reboot the phone everyday. Also no ghost calls. Being able to turn off data and Wi-Fi manually gives me 2 days of battery life.

you get 2 days of battery life???mine can only go for 8 hours!its really annoying!the phone takes so long to charge fully but the battery gets done so quickly. secondly there is no way to manually toggle between 2g/3g/4g! why??? the performance too is crappy.....the phone responds slowly
