[i9000]Auto Brightness settings like in stock Gingerbread - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Is there any way to make auto brigthness in ICS (ICSSGS 4.2) just like in stock Gingerbread ? I mean exactly the same brigthness settings.I write about that because even on Semaphore with bright setting screen is to dark for me..

Only way to a good brightness on ics is : Semaphore kernel.

[Q] Autobrightness transitions aren't smooth

Hi everyone,
I have recently updated my SGS from Froyo 2.2 to GB 2.3.3 (from Optus firmware JP5 to JVN). I had Speedmod kernel installed when I was using Froyo, and have now tried a few kernels on 2.3.3 and feel that I'm going to stick to Semaphore.
I can't put my finger on when I first noticed it, but after flashing 2.3.3 I had noticed that auto brighness levels had changed (again, probably because I was used to the Speedmod custom levels) and that rather from fading up / down a level, the screen just jumps straight to it.
I'm happy with the levels in Semaphore, but the transition when the level changes is not smooth. I've tried Galaxian as did mention that it has some driver enhancements from the Nexus S which should make it smoother, but it made no difference and I found that my phone would freeze a lot on Galaxian.
Anyone know how I can restore the transitions for autobrightness so that they're smooth? Could it be the CRT animation package I've flashed as well that's causing the issue?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Control panel on ICS?

Hi mates,
I am on ICS 4.03 with my SGS I9000.
I miss a lot the drag-down control panel from Gingerbread, is there a way to have it also on on IceCream?
Thanks a lot
If you really want it
If you want drop down menu with ICS then you should use ICS CM9
from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363593
Thanks,
I'd like to stay with ICSSGS RC4, so I solved using widgetsoid

ICS Tablet ROMS

I am looking for which ICS roms use a tablet API.
I would like to this list to be included on the wiki page.
Thanks in advance
imilka's AOSP, ICS Stunner, Codename Android and ICS AOKP.
Yup, gotta change the DPI to 213 or lower to enable it...build.prop or AOKP and ICS Stunner both have "Euphoria" controls to easier enable it.
I recommend the stunner beta 4.3
It's very good , and you just need to change the LCD dencity to 213 in euphoria control and reboot.

[Q] My Question about XXJW4 with Semaphore Kernel

Hi !
When I used XXJVU the screen used to flicker green a milisecond before switching off or on ( from power button or home button ) then I started using XXJW4 with Semaphore 2.7.4 bmfr but now get the same green flicker which I never used to get in XXJW4 with the stock kernel in the begining.
Can anyone please let me know as what I should do to stop this from happening ?
Thanks !
I think it's a voodoo color problem. Try increasing the gamma until it goes away, or using the stock color sephamore.

[Q] How to change kernel semaphore to devil?

Hello, i have few question to ask. I've installed ics333 rom in my sgs 3 days ago and i've prob with battery drain out, camera focus not nice compared to before using froyo and yesterday i noticed that the battery indicator has missing. I heard devil kernel quite stable. How to change kernel? If i want to change to slim ics how to do that? Hope somebody can guide me. Thanks
Hello,
I suppose your phone is root.
If I right, You have to go in CWM mode (combo with Button sound up+menu+power)
then, in this mode : install zip from internal SD then look for the files of the Slim : (base+common). But don't forget the Wipe (take a look here : http://www.slimroms.com/installation.htm)
It is the same operation with the kernel
meaning i've to change ics333 to slim ics right? root mean got superuser in the phone?
which devil kernel you can suggest?
