[Q] how to unlock banned/barred sensation XL?

A friend of mine lost his sensation XL and phoned up his phone company to have the phone locked, after doing this he found his phone ... is there any way to un-bar the phone quickly? The bootloader is already unlocked im wondering if flashing a custom ROM onto the phone would work .. although i doubt that, Does anyone know a quick easy method to unbar/unblock the phone?

If he has reported it stolen and received a replacement/refund. The phone is now owned by the insurance company and any attempt to unbar it is fraud. If he hasnt received a replacement, he can unbar it by calling his network provider.

Unlock HTC Vivid With Code From IMEI

I see there are lots of websites where you send in your IMEI and they send you a code number. You stick in a SIM from a different company, slide the circle up to the message, type in the code, and the phone is unlocked.
I assume these sites are using a program to generate this unlock code number from the IMEI right? If so, what is that program called and where can it be downloaded from? I don't really want to send my IMEI to some place I don't know and cannot trust.

that is no program, those vendors have means to obtain the codes.
If you want to remove sim lock, S-OFF you phone and there is a link in the forum to remove the sim lock

there is no software like jngtt said. All website offering this service go via a handful of people who have high level service level access with HTC. They can access the database from HTC where all these unlock codes are stored based on the IMEI.
HTC unlock by IMEI is not free and I don't think it won't be but it is pretty damn cheap. Check out this offer:

cell unlockers dot net hassled me about 'possible fraud' tried to get me into a phone tag game and couldn't send me a code. htc imei unlock dot com sent me the code which worked fine in about 12 minutes for less money. Spend the $13 and get on with it. Jus' sayin'

It's probably not a good idea to publicly post your IMEI; I suggest private messaging it to the person if you trust them, but definitely edit your post and don't just have it visible to the public.

It's not cheap at all...
I don't think i must pay for that. Is not right.

How to unlock phone to use any SIM

Hi there,
I have a SXL which is rooted and with one of Vertigo's ROMs (sense 4). My phone's is on the new HBOOT (1.28) and is branded to a specific network. Is there a away I can unlock it to use any SIM card?

Well, I am actually a bit confused now!
I read something some time ago (I think on the htcsensationforum) that if you change the phone's network settings to GSM (only), then turn off the phone and insert a different SIM, it would work. So, my phone it's eMobile branded and after following those steps, I was able to receive a call on my phone with a another SIM from Three (different provider).
If it worked with Three network, it should work with all the others :fingers-crossed:

hmmm. dunno cuz every1 i know have unlocked phone.

I agree with stona175 on that. I know it is hard these days unlocked phone and pay in cash. But there are so many mobile stores, specialy on the "Island" where you can get sim unlock for 20-30 pounds.......you should try that

Three is ONLY wcdma network based. or there something is totaly changed.
In UK is verry simple 1.19 punds on ebay and HTC unlocked in 5 minutes from buying code. I have unlocked 2 sxl, 1 One X and 1 One S - simple, cheap and quick. I recommend seller "phone.market" i unlocked from those guys- their system is automated and u get code in couple seconds in your email.

Well if you have entered false code to many times it will lock the phone

HTC One Network Unlock

Hi there guys,
I didn't manage to find a theme for network unlock of the HTC One so I decided to create one. If there is already one for the same problem please refer me to it.
So I've been trying to network unlock my one for 2 days now. It's locked to a Bulgarian network (Europe). I used this site (gsmliberty.net) for an unlock code but so far it's not working and they are still working on the problem. The carrier wants me to pay 150 leva for the unlock code which is around 75 EUR. Can you guys share your experience unlocking your phones or refer me to a web site which gives the correct network pins for HTC One?

hey guys its howareyoudoing here just trying to find out some stuff still stuck on how to flash my htc one sprint to boost or whichever prepaid i could possibly get it on, then i ran across this video on youtube claiming that an app and a few terminal commands can SIM unlock your htc one sprint if its true then i want to try it, but i wouldn't try anything without asking the xda community so from any of your experience is this true? can i really sim unlock a htc one sprint? i highly doubt it but you never know! also can anyone help me with flashing my phone? its already rooted. please and thank you!
