Have you considered contacting B-Boy directly? I think he is one of the few people who theme left here. Just about all of the other themers left when there was that missed call upgrade loophole and galaxy nexus release.

+1. I have already gave b-boy a heads up on the bigmem version of aokp. Because he made an awesome throm with aokp but it don't have the needed mods for the extra ram. I think he was going to drop into your irc Chan at some point to see what was up with the new builds. It would be another landmark moment if Steven, glitch team, and b-boy join forces! my dream ROM atm is aokpbigmem + devious. I love the black/transparent apps and the extras.

I'm gonna start trying my hand in porting, i just dont know which theme to start with.
I was thinking about White Chrome from the i9000 forums, but i dont even know if its compatible.
it would be for sc2.9.2.

You dont know if its compatible? Of course its not. When you port a theme, you make it compatable.

White Chrome is dope, good luck with the port.
My advice would be to download an existing fascinate theme/framework and compare it to the theme you like and want to port...galaxy s themes are pretty close to ours (well gingerbread rom themes are a tad more difficult with systemui.apk) so just look through the drawable-hdpi folders and see what's different

well i know im making it compatible, i had just heard there was something with TW roms vs aosp and stuff, and if i ported an aosp theme for a tw rom, i thought things might go bad.

ok, i've been playing around with existing files a little bit and i think i can get it. i have nitro honeycomb that i will kind of be using as my anchor.

i would recommend using sbrissens 6 lock mods as a base or stock frameworks from roms...when working with already themed frameworks ur carrying over their xml edits/image/framework changes too
and always remember to credit
yeah haha I read your ettiqute (sp) in your guide. so if I download sbrissens mods, and there will be modded frameworks in there and I can just put the image files that I am porting into that framework?

yup, images are a good place to start
Its not so bad...
The best way to pick something to work on is find one that YOU like. Then all the aggravation can be worth it if its something you will want to personally use.

Dark Edge UI is an awesome theme. Its for AOSP unfourunately, and I'm not sure if it's ever been ported to the Galaxy S family.

Haha darkedge would hardly be one I would suggest for someones first time out. That's one of the most complete themes ever.

it might sound a little weird but there is no way I will use the rom without the pure gingerbread theme and this is the complaint: the bright green battery indicator on the gingerbread theme stands out like a sore thumb and I am the kind of person who likes everything neat.
EDIT: Totally just realized this was changed since I last checked! flashing now!

The artistic design is not my work at all, just saw it on the evo 3d forums and loved it, so i ported it to the latest synergy 8/22 Nightly. So all credit goes to Team Tetrahydrocannibal. Looks awesome. Screenies below as well as my wallpaper. Just flash zip in recovery. Sorry bout the Dropbox link. Anyone who wants to make a mirror can. Let me know what issues you all are experiencing too. I wont remake this for every nightly, but i'll try to update once a week or so. Thanks!

Known issues:
Airplane Mode icon is white as opposed to green... cant find that stupid icon anywhere.
Same with the Task Manager Icon.
Any words of advice as to where and what its called, let me know. Thanks!

I'm swamped with work right now, but i will see what I can do on Wednesday (my next day off, gotta love six day work weeks). I'm probably going to try and port this to a bunch of different roms

I have two weeks off work coming up and was gonna try my hand at porting a theme to BO 2.0. I was planning on porting high limit's cyan theme, but figured I'd ask other people if they had a particular theme they'd like ported. If another theme gets enough votes I'll port that instead i can also mix and match different elements of different themes if people want a specific icon or such. Let me know.

Just so u know the dread ginger port i did of spchicks work was the most downloaded, second was purple haze,

From your screen name I'm assuming you're looking for the same green and purple as your avatar depending on how long it takes me to port the cyan theme, I'll also try to port the purple haze theme, but add that same green where appropriate I'll try to have something up by the 24th, but I'll let you know if my lack of knowledge will prevent that i probably wont be able to start until the 21st due to work/school, but I'll keep you posted.

My car was broken into last night and someone stole my phone, and some other stuff, but anyway, I have no test phone and having minimal experience with theming, I wouldn't want to start without being able to flash multiple times throughout the process to see if I'm even getting somewhere. I also doubt I'll get another revo, so sorry guys, no themes from me

Cm9? I just upgraded to a Samsung gs3. I'm about to flash cm10 jelly bean ftw! My lil bro just found a revo online for cheap so I may steal his and theme a bit when I get a chance. I really do love the community here for the revo and would love to still help out when I have the time.

I'm working on porting over the Domination VRTheme by Vertumus
(OG Thread HERE )
Definitely a work in progress, however the changes needed to be made are in framework-res apk.
If any more knowledgeable devs would care to take a look at it, I'd be most appreciative.
I've got it all running (by just deleting framework-res apk modifications) except for phone, new message, contacts, maybe more... Those all FC. So for now I'll use this thread to keep the dear public updated as I await a reply from Vertumus.
EDIT: Vertumus approved porting. Alpha releases for DEVS ONLY will be posted eventually.
UPDATE: File name callings in xmls between the i9505 and the L720 are DIFFERENT!
Basically, that means its gonna take HARD work to get proper filename calling inside EVERY SINGLE XML
In other words. Please be patient and don't rush the nice Dev

Just one??? Now how is that fair?
At the moment I'm porting the white one. I've got it to boot about 90% themed but like I said... FC's everywhere. It's all got to do with framework-res modifications though and i can't decode the XMLs to see their code and compare it to our stock sprint xmls.. Someone DL the light theme and open it up. Inside vrtheme\system\framework\framework-res.apk... any one of the folders with .xml come out looking completely uncoded (Still compiled) and i cant decompile the ".apk" cause it's not an apk.. It's a folder... I'm gonna try zipping it and dropping an AndroidManifest.xml from stock to see if i can get to at least ONE xml.. Then I will have a basis to start with.
But to answer the question I *SLIGHTLY* drifted from... Yes I am going to port both and keep them up to date (assuming Master Vertumus allows me to post it )
EDIT: I think i got it... Compiling modded framework-res.apk..... Wish me luck

Alright. Let me reflash and load up alpha 4 and ill post screenies and get to work on it.
Now that i think about it its only popups, text in Notification bar and contacts are all thats not FULLY working

Yeah, quite a few of there system apks are different. Especially the framework. Best bet, is to re-work the framework, or else compatibility with roms is gonna be a nightmare. I dug deep into all there system apks a while back, but off the top of my head, I'm guessing phone, Contacts, mms, framework, TWframework, Settings, should definitely be redone. Try WinMerge. Great way to compare decompiled files. This way you csn tell the differences right off the bat!
Also, it's gonna be a bit more than just XMLs, cause if you compare ours and theres, you notice that alot of there images are placed in different folders within the APK. Same goes for Phone, Contacts, and other I'm sure. But the framework probably will be the worst, it's just trial and error from there. Thas why I hate ports lol..
