Replacing revo

Called Verizon about losing data connection , they are sending a samsung droid charge to replace my revo. Is this good or bad ?

Lol, matter of opinion. I thought they were ugly. I don't know what kind of community they have or what kind of roms, good luck though.

Bad. I had the Revolution, then went to the Charge after my Revo got stolen. I had the Charge for about a week and sold it for another Revo. The only thing better about the Charge is the display. Beautiful screen!

I guess ill hve to try it out lol if I don't like it they said they'd get me a revo back. I just keep losing data connection for some reason with the revo , doesn't seem to matter what rom im running either.

Is it just on a ROM or on stock as well?

It did it stock as well. Verizon replaced the phone with a refurb and it done it too. That's when I decided to try gingervolt out. It seemed to help , but the issue was still there just not as often

Lost my bluetooth also , I downloaded the bluetooth fix and flashed it but it didn't help. Still force closes when I turn on bluetooth and try to pair with a device

Yea the display is pretty nice but it just doesn't seem as nice as the revolution. Especially without an led , its been a pet peeve for me

It didn't seem to help me in an area where I have spotty coverage. Didn't improve my signal

I have to agree with this. No apps is going to be able to increase your signal strength or suddenly give 3G speeds that are super dooper.

It works just as good as those funny-looking signal-boosters you stick inside your phone - the one's they used to advertise on TV that you can buy at a flea market for $0.50.

This apps shows improvements only on PING, but i cant see any speed diferences.

that's because it may use a different DNS server for address translation or it lowers the size of your ping packet making it travel back and forth faster because it is a smaller amount of data.

Charging issue

Well this is my 4th replacement Revo. Been wondering why it takes so long to charge. Got looking at settings and it says USB charging on the wall outlet. Can't tell what could be the issue. Anyone else with this issue???

Are you using the LG cable or a different one? Mine did this when using a different cable.

maybe you needed a new stock cable?!?!? or a different phone works nicely also

Facebook not working on wifi

This is just an annoying peeve, but is anyone else having this issue? From V8 to v9, facebook stop connecting while on wifi. I've read other threads on the issue but no one states a fix or weather they did anything about. Just wondering. It's kind of a 'nagging' minor issue.
Oh yea, I have tried everything to fix it. even reflashing the v8 tot and ota'ing to v9. still samething. idk. Oh well, It's on to the next one.
EDIT**** I don't use FB all that much if any, but my wife is the FB junkie

Same problem here. Started happening within the past week or two. I'm still running the V8-based BO 1.1, so it's not related to the V9 update.

Fb has sucked the last 2 updates they sent out on my Revo. My Transformer pad seems ok, with occasional similar issues.

I have issues even with the facebook mobile site when on wifi. I don't use the app.

Same here. I was using friendcaster and it stopped working. Can't even get there through the mobile site. Just spins and spins

I'm having the same issue. B. O. 1.1
I just noticed it today, I tried going to an earlier Facebook version through Titanium Backup, but that didn't work, then I did a nandroid restore from before I had this issue and it's still happening.

Well, now friendcaster and seesmic are acting up on wifi. and it's just the fb side of these apps. Maybe a prob with FB? idk

Same here. I noticed it 2 or 3 weeks ago. Using BO 1.1 on zv8. Glad to hear it isn't just me.

ICS for the Revolution... I can't see that happening at all. Definitely not buying an LG phone when my upgrade comes around.
