[Q] can you use the HTC vivid in the uk? - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

i was wandering if it was possible to use the HTC vivid in the uk?

Sure its quadband IIRC but if you don't have an international plan you will be raped in roaming fees. AFAIK there is no 4g in the UK so you'll be getting 3g at best. I kept my phone in airplane mode and just used wifi wherever possible.

Tri-band

You should be able to, and I'd hazard a guess that you'll still be able to get 3G also, since the Vivid does have the "world" 3G band of 2100MHz.
Forget about LTE, though.

Hi,
Yes it will work with no problems over 2G & 3G, but must be SIM unlocked if you want to use British SIM card.
But it will be problem with 4G LTE, because HTC Vivid (USA)/HTC Raider (Canada) is using different bands and frequencies as 700/1700/1900
Europe standard for 4G LTE is 800/2600 MHz
ATM UK is planning to use 4G LTE in year 2013 Band 7 (2600 MHz) / Band 20 (800 MHz) as standard for the rest of the Europe.
P.S. I've got Canadian version from Bell & South Korean version.
Love those phones
Just can't wait until we will get S-OFF

Droid Incredible 2 on verizon

So will the Verizon Model work on T-mobile's 3g bc it is $439 $112 less then the Incredible S.
Here are the specs
* Network: CDMA 800/1900MHz + UMTS/HSPA 900/2100MHz + GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz
It will not work on tmous network. 1700/2100 is missing. In fact, Verizon might freeze the at&t network too

Thank you

Dinc 2 will not work in the US. It has been locked out of both ATT & TMO. European and Asian 3G bands are 900/2100. The Dinc S version works on TMO 4G. I have it. If you are buying make sure you get the version that says AWS on it.
The model S710E is the one that works on T-Mobile 3g network ... keep in mind if youre on tmobile , bell and Verizon version don't work on T-Mobile ..
I hope there would be more phones made like this one that can take advantage of tmobile's tzone/web2go. The only reason Iam considered the IS is because of its AWS band.

Nexus One Wikipedia:
The second version of the Nexus One (PB99110) supports UMTS frequency bands 1 (2100 MHz), 2 (1900 MHz), and 5 (850 MHz), allowing it to access 3G in most of Europe, as well as on AT&T Mobility in the USA and Rogers Wireless, Fido Solutions, Bell Mobility, and Telus Mobility in Canada. The second version of the Nexus One also works on Telecom New Zealand's XT Mobile Network, Telcel's 3G Network and Telstra's Next-G network.
Hey I'm in Canada using the same n1 as you. And I use Rogers. But telus and bell also use those 3g frequencies so you can choose from a few more.

Asking regarding ATT LTE model.

Europe and Asia mostly uses the 2100MHz band which the 4G LTE does not have so most likely, you won't be able to use it.

According to their website specs... 2100 mhz is supported. Dont care about 4g speeds. Only hspda or 3g is fine overseas... It also says international supported, but not sure about if its sim locked.

The 2100 band is for LTE not for UTMS where the rest of the world is still kinda in. The LTE version surely does not work in South East Asia, Hong Kong or Macau, I brought one with me on my trip 2 weeks ago.

I c i c. Thanks. I guess skyrocket cant work as well in asia then.... Since they are based on the same chip. For your tablet... Did you unlock it and didnt even pick up the signal?
Was thinking about free skyrocket plus 8.9 tablet...
Ehcan, did it work with 3g freq in asia though? I know no lte.. But want to know if it works with the att 8.9 unlocked.

[Q] Unlocked HTC ONE Bands -Q

Hey guys, just a quick question one more time.
As you guys know the exciting news the HTC One is available for pre order and unlocked straight from from the manufacturer! I'm really stoked on getting this phone but want it to have LTE working.
Now I have 2 options, getting it unlocked (32GB) or going for the T-Mobile branded one.
These are the bands the unlocked version works on.
HSPA/WCDMA: 850/1900/2100 MHz - GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz - LTE: 700/850/AWS/1900 MHz (US)
Now I tried looking up T-Mobile on their support forums, online support agents, outsourced call center employees, and even resorted to wikipedia.
My only question is will T-Mobile's upcoming LTE work on this phone? My location is NYC if that helps.
Anyone???

I'm in the same boat. I want to get the unlocked version but want to make sure it has LTE for US carrier (either AT&T or tmobile). I believe these LTE bands should work. If I'm not mistaking, AT&T uses both 700Mhz & 1700Mhz (AWS).
I've switch my AT&T HTC One X plus to T-Mobile and LTE works great. So I think the HTC One developer edition will work just fine on T-Mobile network.

Must be different in the States. . . im in UK, i brought my One in Carphone warehouse, got it on Tuesday, its debranded, Sim Unlocked, and has LTE. . . Im eagerly waiting for my EE Simcard so i can use the LTE functions of this. . .
Dev will not have HSpa unless your in the reformed markets with 1900 band.
LTE will work if youre in a lte ,market.
Been answered many times

[Q] How to get LTE working in Europe

I have HTC One Sprint Sim unlocked. It works well in GSM networks, however I recently visited Sweden and Poland and was unable to get my GSM sim to work there, maybe this is a roaming issue. However I plan to relocate to Sweden and i want to get LTE working there. Sprint has LTE freq at 1900 Mhz, and in Europe you'll mostly get 1800 Mhz. Is there any way to get LTE working at Europe?
