WIFI AND BLUETOOTH not Working - Motorola Droid and Milestone Q&A, Help & Troublesh

Hi Guys,,
its me again..
i just recently have problems with my bluetooth and wifi with my milestone 2.1 rom..
i gave up fixing the cam with this milestone so i decided to get it back to its original rom..
the flashing went fine.. the phone is punctional but it is not responsive when it comes to its wifi and bluetooth..
you can turn on the bluetooth and wifi but
-- wifi is not scanning any connection AT ALL!!
--bluetooth.. can be detected but when are trying to transfer and connect to it at always tell me that my milestone cannot handle such content...
any idea how to fix this??
replies and suggestion would be appreciated

Have you tried using the 2.2.1 GOT stock instead?

have the problem fixed for the wifi but not for the bluetooth..
sad thing..
if i flashed into other ron aside from eclair.. the camera shows ill behavior.. so i just retain it back to its original rom

For bluetooth just download free app "Bluetooth file transfer" which will add bluetooth functionality...
Oh,the latest stock rom for Milestone is 2.2.1 not 2.1

Bluetooth thethering Lg 2X with Asus Transformer

I have a Asus Transformer (3.1 rooted but stock rom) and a LG 2X (v10c rooted and stock rom) and I'd like to share internet 3g of LG with Transfomer using bluetooth DUN. I've try but doesn't work, even using Wireless tether for root users in the market. Can anyone help me? If I try to do the same thing with my laptop no works either. Seems like the stock rom of LG has the modem bluetooth stuck by default. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.
I would suggest using your phone as a wifi hotspot - tethering. I'm not sure whether that is possible in stock though, you might need CM7 or another custom rom.
Thanks for your fast answer, It works fine as wifi-spot, but I prefer bluetooth to save battery life. You think a custom rom could fix the problem? If so witch rom is last (based on firmware v10c) and good for me?
Really not sure. I suggest looking at information on how to setup a bluetooth personal area network, or PAN. Thats essentially what you want to do, although I must say I'd be surprised if the battery drain is much lighter using bluetooth than wifi.
The problem is not to set up a bluetooth connection but is that the modem bluetooth of the 2x is deactivated (I think). Wifi is bad for battery and make my phone hot!!!
Which rom cooked is the last ? I mean with v10c base firmware.
The real problem is that the Optimus 2X doesn't support any bluetooth modem!!!! Maybe gingerbread could fix this?

[Q] Wifi Disconnecting in Gingerbread

My wifi is constantly getting disconnected. I have to reconnect many times a day. This is really getting frustrating. It was working fine(very much FINE) on froyo 2.2.1 xxkb3 rooted and deodexed but after i updated to 2.3.4 gingerbread, this problem began! Is there someone who might be knowing what the problem is????
First i tried stock XXKPH, then i tried after CF root and after that i thought a custom ROM might help so i installed GanaROM but wifi is not working properly in any one of them. It is getting diconnected if i don't use it for like 5-10 minutes. And i have even turned the wifi sleep policy in the advanced wifi settings to NEVER. But still!!

I have the problem like this. Can you try to ping 8.8.8.8 from console of your phone? I have almost 80% of lost packets. If you will see this, you have to change your WiFi router. I've tested my phone with 3 routers and only with Asus 520GU I can't use WiFi with GB (with Froyo all is perfect)

Yes, I have this problem and still don't have solution. That's why I'm at Froyo. I don't want to change my home WiFi router if I'm not sure that the phone will work with new one.

WIFI signal randomly dropping on ICS

Ok random problem for me..
Using the note since December last year with no problems... Until now!
Have tried most custom roms now but have recently stuck with stock as I like to use the sky go app so I can watch the F1 at work.
My problem is with any ICS Samsung based ROM my wifi keeps dropping and then reconnecting but the strange thing is only with my virgin media dlink router. If I connect to my BT home hub its fine (but so slow on YouTube etc and my PC is hooked to the virgin line which I use for all share)
Is there a fix for this? I don't want to go back to GB even though the connection problem doesn't occur there as I'm one of the few who actually likes stock ICS. I have done a search and there are a lot of complaints threads etc even with the s2 but no definitive fixes. Any and all help and suggestions appreciated
Cheers

OpenWrt
Have the same issue with Stock SGN ICS and routers with OpenWrt. Still dont know what causing it.
Regards.
Yeah, I´ve been experiencing that too. I have been working abroad recently, and when I was at home it seemed fine so I assumed it was the network rather than the phone. Using it side by side with my ipod, the ipod is working more consistently, so I wonder if it just has problems holding a connection when the wifi signal is weak (all the routers here are wireless G, while at home I used a newer N router). I noticed, in particular, that when the ipod was reporting very poor signal, the note was giving good signal, but was not able to connect, and then lost connection altogether.
Do you still get drops if you have your phone very close to the access point?
I get less frequent drops if im closer but it still loses connection then auto reconnects. I just never had this problem with GB.
Well i thought i'd try a couple of the custom roms.. So far King Droid 4.2, AllianceRom V1, Cassies XLR and now on RocketRom v7. They are all doing it. Im at my wits end.
So im now gonna try a few different kernels.. If i remember rightly the kernel handles the WIFI?

[Q] p1000 wifi died ?

My tab decided for some reason not to see any wifi networks. First it was stuck at "turning on wifi", someone suggested to update rom.
So i updated (cm10 nightly to new cm10 nightly)
All i did is changed wifi channel on my router, then due to "turning on wifi" changed it back, but problem didnt go away...
Router is fine, all my other devices (2x android and a PC) see and connect to it without any problems.
This has happened for a second time.
First time it was on GB and it just went away and started seeing and connecting again (after numerous reboots/resets)... No idea.
And i cant get a straight solution to this problem... Now my tab is just an expensive media player...

Didn't help. Needed to restock to GB.
So today i decided to do JellyBean again. As soon as CM10.1 got installed Wifi disappeared. Tried adding manually - no dice. Network itself is fine, i use it at this very moment as i type this.
So, why my tablet cant see any Wifi networks under JB ? Its defeinitely not faulty wifi nor router, but OS. So how to fix this ?
#EDIT1# Also there is no SIM in my tab...
I used ics for my tab with sucess. I could not find Wi-Fi or3 g using that kernal. Might be a problrm with the way the kernal was made.

[Q] WiFi and Bluetooth problem connection

Hello guys
Recently I noticed WiFi disconnects when turning Bluetooth on. Whn I opened the WiFi menu all acces points were not available. But when Bluetooth is off there is no problem. Any solutions?
I have the same problem. I'm running CM11 M11 but had the issue also with M10. It is really annoying since I also have a Sony SmartBand and therefore i can't use wifi at all.

same problem here. Seems that bluetooth low enegy device and wifi does not work well together.
I have a xiaomi mi band and it kills wifi as soon as I connect it. The only way around is to disable sync and manually sync. After sync you can go to bluetooth settings and search for devices. After that wifi connects normally until I sync the band to the phone again.
I tried the fix described by @MrSteve555 in the FXP CM11 development thread but it did not help, the issue still remains.

Same thing here. I'm running CM11 M11, Williams v4. A bit annoying if you rely on Bluetooth for the SmartBand. I've taken to having BT on all the time when I'm not at home (not using WiFi) and switching to WiFi with only occasionally turning on BT when I'm home. Not really a solution, but as a workaround it's okay.
I really hope someone can work this out. I think I will just create a tasker profile or something. But then again, not an elegant solution.
I have the same problem, I have it on stock 4.3 rom and now i just installed CM11 and there is still problem. Anyone found a solution? Do I really need to go back to android 4.1 to fix this?

Well I suggest flashing the stock ROM again on your phone. That may solve the problem..
