You can, with root permission.
Go into system and somewhere in there will be a file which you can replace. I forgot where it's located so good luck!

Hi,
My phone is already rooted.. got all the applications that I don't need removed..
was wondering how can I delete the pre-installed wallpaper that's on the phone?
It's really badly degisned wallpaper... how to delete it?
thanks a million :fingers-crossed:
They are not in a directory.. they are on theLauncher.apkunder\res\drawableI know you can replace the wallpapers there with your own ( I've done this before) but I'm not sure If you'll be able to add more wallpapers to the gallery without replacing the default ones.
If I helped you please press thanx

GDX doesn't have that folder. may be you are having these wallpapers from the launcher. install xperia arc launcher and remove the default launcher. if not done please tell me how you find the unwanted wallpapers.

Hi,
This is how I did it last night (by playing around with Root Explorer on my phone)
1. Open up Root Explorer on your X8 first..
2. then follow this path:
system > etc >customization > content > com > sony ericsson > homescreen > wallpaper (system wallpapers are here)
PS: if you can't delete the item, and it's giving you a 'read only' message, simply click on the 'Mount R/W' icon at the top of the page, which
will now turn to 'Mount R/O',, then you can now delete it..
hope that helps you mate :good:
@leekenwah
Bro he is saying that he doesnt have customization folder he is on GDX V29

Unfortunately No...
I did not see it in any firmwares I have tried.. but please see the UAE version.. or any Middle Eastern firmware should have it...
and by the way: I am planning to include languages like Right to Left writing and Arabic language on my upcoming ROM

Hey @Sami Kabir
You might be the 1st person (I guess) who is considering arabic support in a custom ROM for our device .
Though, I don't know Arabic Language.

Well I know how to Read (in) Arabic, but I still can't speak Arabic properly or fluently.... Anyways I don't really know how to add a new language to a firmware/ROM; but I will soon figure it out anyway
Besides its good to have a multilingual ROM

Adding a new language to a ROM is pretty difficult, but if the UAE ROM has Arabic ( it should ), then you should just be able to copy the strings of each app, which is fairly easy. Much easier than translating them string by string that it is

Yes.. if you haven't then please do it or if you prefer not to root to save your Warranty then its your choice.. but there is a lot you can do if you are rooted but it costs you to void your warranty
And yes, Rooting in Jellybean is a very simple process... and if you want to unroot then just simply backup your apps/data and do a Factory Reset to un-root your device

ROOT Succsed , where i can find "fonts folder, framework-res.apk and your SystemUI.apk"?
@iiD4x Use any app like Root Browser Lite (search in Google Play) then go to System folder... There you will see Fonts folder.... Tap and hold and you will get the options to copy it.. do it!
Then swipe right to select your destination..... Paste it there...
Then go to framework folder and scroll down till you get framework-res.apk - copy it... Paste it.... Go back and then go to app folder... Scroll down till you get SystemUI.apk - copy it too... Paste it..
Paste them to anywhere you like and send them to me by uploading to anywhere you like.... And yes please do it on a computer or WiFi as those files in total will weigh about 20 MB
Oh yes, please note that I can't do this now as I have exams after 4 days... I will do it and either send you the download links or directly implement it on my ROM and you will get them when you will use my ROM

It means a developer/programmer can answer it.
It just runs the command

Then displays information based on the reply

Once you put the fonts in /system/font, you will be able to read that particular language. But in order to type in it, you need a keyboard that supports the required language. Try searching Google Play for keyboard's that supports your language. Hope I Helped
