In all ROM ICS quickly gets the battery, and sometimes even 100% in 30 minutes dropped to 20%. Those who have any solutions to this problem?

This should should not be in this section. Also, you should use search and find answers.
The ICS releases on here are using a mixed kernel base which isn't pure ICS and thus can cause strange drain issues.
IF it starts to drain rapidly, reboot your phone and recharge. Also try calibrating your battery.
This is posted in the wrong forum, should be in the general section... in future read the rules
Edit: Beaten to it again
as its here i will reply for the um-teenth time. as a rule when flashing new rom ESPECIALLY if coming from GB to ICS it is HIGHLY recommended you wipe battery stats in advance setting within recovery. this is vital to getting accurate reading from your battery. also download battery calibration app from market and run it. i have no battery issue with iscream rom and battery always charges to 100% and discharges normally
hello
I'm sorry, but I just do not know English and writing through the google translator. Because of this, I do not know the general rules and posted it here. Sorry me. The fact that the calibration of the battery, I always do and it does not work, that's why I created this topic. Nothing helps to solve this problem, the battery is sometimes drops and does not work consistently. Seeking a solution to this problem. Thank you. Anyway, we have in our 4pda.ru all this problem and all the complaining about the battery and how to solve this problem we do not know. I ask on behalf of our forum to help solve this problem. Personally, I have only one consideration of this problem is due to the nucleus and that the need to wait for the official kernel. Am I right?

No problem mate. Even with proper sources battery needs calibrating. As a rule should do after every flash. Kernel sources will bring more stability to roms and correct drivers. We are all waiting for those

may i just quickly add 1 : with the stock ruu, the battery will still be charging even though it's 100%
with most (because i havent try all) the battery said it "charging" but the percentage is goiing down...
eg: try to charge your phone the whole night it will just be around 50-60% in the morning
anyone have the same problems?

The creator of this thread seems to be a pretty decent dev from another (russian) forum. When he created this thread, he was not familiar with XDA protocol.

Hello everyone, yesterday i figured a big problem with the battery of my 3 Weeks note.
I'm so upset and its driving me crazy.
I screen captured this. Battery life became so short it hardly works for 10 hours maximum if i don't use it much. Thanks
might want to get rid of that any.do app or change the settings. .
No i don't think any do is the problem as i downloaded it about 2 Weeks ago, and the problem started just yesterday.
what settings do you think i should modify?
well maybe any do wasn't the problem 2 weeks ago.. but it is the problem now.. why ask if u aren't going to take advice?
do you have the original samsung batterie? or an cheap rebuilt one? I've made some bad experience with cheap chinese batteries...
Do you have the stock kernel? In some old versions of Abyss Kernel i had bad batterie lives...
Dear bambo i did take advice and deleted the app. I've formatted the device 30 minutes ago as well.
Still having the same problem.
Mr David its the phone's original battery made in Japan finished in China
I took a screen shot after the formatting. Its just getting worse.
Thanks for helping guys

Try badass battery monitor pro and see what may be keeping the phone awake, or waking it up often.
what graph?
I've had loads of batt drain problems, and found the batt stats app to be really misleading.
In nearly all cases a random app 'appeared' to be the culprit but further investigation yielded it as being some other app filling the system log (logcat). Try looking at something you installed more recently. Uninstall them one by one and check foe when the batt drain stops. That'll be your culprit I reckon.
The more complicated approach is to install something like catlog from Google Play and read through the system log and try to work it out that way. I used his approach to discover WidgetLocker was capping my juice even though AVG was being reported as the battery hog!

Go to market and install Better Battery Stats. It will give you all the wakelocks and the culprit apps and kernel that might be eating your battery and not allowing the device to go into deep sleep and conserve battery !
Thanks for helping guys, I formatted the phone yesterday.
I‘am afraid the battery has a hardware problem. I'll have to contact the store I think, thanks to ALLAH I have 1 year full warranty. But I've got 2 questions for you guys:
1- I charge the phone while sleeping, so it stays plugged about 4 hours after its fully charged. Does that shorten the battery ‘a life?
2- Does the Android get viruses? Cuz if its not a battery problem, it might be a virus though.

-1- No, dont worry about your batt if u plugged more.
-2- I dont know about virus, but what i know if u install crack apps its maybe a virus.
This is a blowoff rather than a request, but just in case...
It's since I upgraded my beloved SXL to ICS that I'm experiencing battery issues. When my buddy ran GB everything was just perfect, hours and hours of joy spent together, working hard and relaxing. But those days are gone. Now I can see battery life quickly draining away. %s drop down one after one (by the star-dogged moon).
I've tried almost any available rom (now I'm on 3M Insane 3.6), but the problem is always the same. I can't believe it's not possible to fix it, I am sure it has to be software related...
Please, anyone help me to have my battery back...

If you gone trough every rom i guess it is not software related anymore. If you can take another battery and try it. Just to be sure.
Frankly there can be many things causing your drain

Already done, tried my wife's battery and the issue remains... she's got no problem with battery life, so I think it has something to do with my device. My apps are the same ones as I was on GB, so it shouldn't be related to any particular app... I've even tried to remove all unnecessary apps from the phone, but 3 days later (after battery calibration) it was still the same. It's frustrating
Im thinking delete battery stats and recalibrate it again, there is some good guides here in xda

Yeah, that should be a good idea, but don't want to bother anyone with pm... I think the forum is the best way to ask for something. Also, if I can get a solution here, through a public discussion, this could help others having the same issue. Anyway, hope that Vertigo (or anyone dealing with kernels) should give advice

Actually I didn't. Aren't they the same as OTA? I thought they were, so when I was to choose a new ROM I didn't consider to flash one of those, since my problem was there even on stock ICS... maybe worth a try. Thank you for your suggestion, I will give it a go
So, after a while (about 2 weeks) testing stock ICS rom from fshami, I'm still getting high battery drain. I've installed setcpu to create profiles which can reduce cpu usage in particular situations. Have to say that this managed to partially decrease drain, especially at night or in screen-off mode. But battery stats show that main draining source is display (70-80 %). I then realized that since I upgraded from GB I've started using bravia engine (cooked in rom or flashing it separately). Could this be the reason of the increased drain? I'm going to flash again the stock rom and avoid flashing bravia engine, this should be the acid test...
SOLVED
After a hard testing of the stock rooted rom from fshami (without bravia engine) I found out that bravia was the leech that was drying my phone battery up. Since I installed the rom leaving bravia out, my battery lasts twice as long as before. Though it could be my device having problems with the engine, if anyone is experiencing the same issue it is worth trying this way...
Dear People of XDA,
I have this issue since a few days and I don't know how to solve it. My battery drains out after 10 min while using wifi and the phone will shut down of course. Leaving it for about an hours time, some power will be regained and I can continue using my device. It all started when I reverted back to stock ICS from cm 10.1. I thought flashing Carburano's ROM might help but apparently not, same problem. I know batterys don't always go nuts but when they do, it's progressive. Any one know what might be wrong?
Regards....

Use the better battery stats app and check which app running in the background is draining your battery without allowing the device going into sleep....
but if the drain is like what you have described....then it is time to move on to another battery....
just a word.....Kernel is something (other things being Baseband) which takes care of the battery performance....so maybe you can try changing this and check which one suits you well.
CHECK IN THE FORUM TO FIND INFO ABOUT APPS LIKE GREENIFY...
Hope this helps you

Thinking it like this: the phone probably can drain a fully charged battery in 10 minutes if you turn on every major component, like vibration, flash, display to 100%, gps, wifi, 3G and what else... But having just wifi on and getting a phone shutdown in 10 min seems excessive. This would suggest your battery is not charging properly. This can result from end-of-lifetime battery only charging to some 10-25% of original capacity, broken charger, battery self-discharge and probably some other reasons I could not think of right now.
The best solution, most likely, is to replace your battery (like SREEPRAJAY above already suggested), but if you like to troubleshoot you could try to charge your phone via USB to reduce the charging current (Li-ion batteries show a lower voltage during charging with lower charge current until 100% is reached). This way you may be able to charge to higher capacity. Also, it may hint that some kernel might work better for you, but I'm not sure about this, since I don't remember what part of Android (SW, charger HW or what) handles the charging logic, i.e. what triggers the charging actually to stop.
Thanks...I'll try the suggestions

well maybe your battery isn't so good anymore or you must try also other roms like jelly cream and those kind of roms and if you wanna know the rom slimbean and cm10.2 from tonyp are also pretty smooth and battery saving but cm10.2 is sadly not working camera still but further it's damm good
Hi I have experienced some issues with battery draining, when I check battery stats it says that most of the battery is drained from Android . media. Service... I have no idea how to work out or disable whatsoever is using those services.. Btw I'm on cm10.1 latest nightly

I have used Slimbean rom for a while now and I have beeen very happy about it. I thoguht the battery time has been good so I haven't bothered to check it until now.
I charged the phone to 100% and after 9 hours (where I didn't touch it at all) it had drained down to 85% (everything of except wifi). I had Betterbatterystats instaled to se what was draining it and mostly it's this "baseband_xmm_power". Is this from the rom, kernel or maybe even an app?
The only app I can think of is AutomateIt. a automatic setting app but I'm not sure.
Could it be beacuse I have such a bad signal were I live? My phone costantly drops out of range and rconnects all the time.

Well I can't find the answer.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2229050&page=19
Read all the post, and there is one kernel wich solves it but it's for another rom.
A brief search shows that about a gazillion people had this same exact problem and there are something like 1000 threads already in this phone's section alone....You found no solution bacause....well there is none! Some kernels are modded so that the baseband wakelock won't show up but it's still there. Ususally on our phone when wiping cache and dalvik you need to do one more normal reboot or it has trouble going into sleep
Moving to custom kernels solved the problem for me.
I'm actually using warewolf v8. It works great.
baseband_xmm_power can not be removed completelly, because it should be an important wakelock for the NVIDIA device. Anyway, the werewolf kernel fixes the excessive wakelocks from it.
Could someone kindly point me to the area of know-how for an issue im having with my battery. After flashing many roms and restoring many backups, my phone is losing battery faster than ever without any services running. I have used a battery calibration app to assist in my issue but to no avail. It will drain very fast but lose ZERO percents over night and even gain 4 to 5 percent while the screen is off for extended time. THis led me to believe my battery is out of whack and needs some TLC pls help b0ss

i thought this was a general request regarding batteries, not the device itself. Mod moved this thread here.. ive tried the apps, i also just deleted the batterystats.bin file and rebooted. Still hangs on 2 %. I did buy an offbrand battery that claimed to be 4200 MA but it wasnt. It was stock size and that battery was chill for the most part for a week then literally bit the dust. Wouldnt stay charged. It even weighed half the weight as my 2 year old original battery. So now im on the 2 year old one with this issue. Would you think it would be the battery itself making this happen? Or is it related to my software?

Oh I didn't know they moved it here, I thought you originally posted here. I'm not sure on S5, but on my old LG, after flashing a few roms the phone would act weird with battery life. I'm not sure about the specifics, but I think getting it back involved draining it to 0%, charging to 100%, then draining back to 0%, and repeating the process about 5 times. But that was a different phone, so I'm not sure. Have you disabled any background apps that may be running? I've disabled all touchwiz stuff I can think of so it won't run.
