[Q] Themed swype keyboard

First off, let me just say, what a great forum and a great group of devs and regulars! Your work has made me LOVE my Captivate hardware (but I still loathe my provider)
Has anyone done any standalone Swype keyboard theming since the new version of the Swype beta came out?
I am currently running Phoenix 7.0 (don't want to update yet), but I can't seem to pull out the themed swype.apk from the 7.1.1 update and get it to work correctly (it says it was build for a different ROM), so I am stuck with the stock keyboard still.
I searched the threads, but was unsure of current versus old Swype-themed versions.
Any suggestions?

Take the swype apk, the libswypecore.so and my build prop and put them all in 7.0 and you will be good to go.

I have themed a standalone...just apk and lib file. No need for buildprop. Confirmed working on Phoenix, Firefly, and Fusion. Based off the Cognition fix. Have an orange theme in the works...and once I get the visual kinks worked out I hope to make a few different colors.

There's no reason it shouldn't, as Phoenix and Serendipity are both JS7 based. Even if they weren't, I believe they'd still be compatible.

[Q] Galaxy Ace & Live Wallpapers

Hello developers!
I have a question ... I got my Galaxy Ace with froyo installed and updated it to gingerbread with hope that live wallpapers will appear like on other android phones. But they just didn't so I'm asking you if there is any way to get the stock live wallpapers on my ace ... like magic smoke or water ... stuff like that.

Well yeah i have a stock rom on but no LWP... But i don't want do install any costum rom cause the official works for me well.. If any one have any apk or anything that might install all the stock LWP

I tried getting the stock live wallpapers on the official CM7 rom, and it did not work I think it is because they Odex it...

Umm... does anyone know where can I get skins that work for Sense 3.6? The ones from the hub are a bit messed up and all the ones ive tried dont work.

Almost all of them available through xda and the market are for 4.0.3 not 4.0.4, thats why I'm asking this

Most that you'll find are for the sensation or another newer phone, which got 4.0.3 and have a different resolution screen to us

In this forum there is a sense 4 theme for 3.6 I can't find it now but you can try it. I have some messages in it too.

Frist install Sense_4.zip package through CWM and then install skin like any other app and choose it in skin menu. Enjoy!
I have tried to modify the HTC Dialer to look like Sense 4 dialer but couldn't get white text on the buttons. I'll appreciate if someone can help me...

I have been looking as well. Cant find any that work. All I want is a skin that has simular colours to that a vanilla Ice cream sandwich rom.

U need to flash a custom rom..no other go.. its easy to flash..

As promised, here's the first CM10.1 build for the N5110, the N5100 will get it after this is confirmed to boot. I don't know if it works or not, flash it with one of my recoveries. Device tree's for both variants will be up soon for al you developers wanting an insight. Enjoy. -- Want me to get the Note 8.0 to give you more goodies? Consider donating if you think of me as worthy. (217/400)
Changelogs will be posted on github (within device tree). Give it a try and report . Ill update the thread to look proper later on.

I love CM based roms but can't help but think I would sorely miss the built in Sammy apps like S-note, the ability to write in text fields with the Sammy keyboard and whatnot. Are there any replacements for these apps anybody is using with the Note 2 that would be suitable for the note 8? what an awesome thing it would be to have these functionalities on a CM based Rom on this awesome tablet!

Flashed it and it didn't boot. Blank screen. This is what happened to me when I tried to port some of the Note 10.1 Roms. Lets keep trying. We will have to have Gapps for the CM to work.

I too would like to have the stock type apps. But I believe the object here is to see if we can get a ported rom to boot. Once we have this then we can port some of the other custom Roms for our device.

I've read that any AOSP based ROM should work. Can you guys confirm that you are using an AOSP based ROM and this has not worked?

PS - how have the AOKP nightlies been? I just noticed they posted the first official build on AOKP.co last night(tonight, depending on where you live).

I've been using it since the 21st, and literally the only problem I've encountered personally that wasn't fixed was an audio bug while listening through headphones. There are probably more that you can find in Roman's thread.

It'll be nice if this ever gets working. I don't necessarily mind going to stock (as I've had it on all my devices), but for some reason I actually am quite a fan of Sense 5 and feel I would miss it on my phone. Ha...
Maybe when HTC releases 4.2+ for our phones they'll use the right Bluetooth stack.
