- PDroid-Framework (v1.32) (seperate build)
FAQ
I cannot see the date, clock, battery and signal percentage! Why?
Thats a little blemish coming from the ported status bar tweaks.
This happens because the default status bar is black, either the textcolor of these items.
You need to change the text color in "System settings -> CyanogenMod settings -> Interface -> Status bar tweaks -> Text Color" one time, then its fine.
My phone doesn't wake up after charging over night! WTF?
Enable "Stay Awake" in "System settings -> Application -> Development", this will prevent the "Charging SOD (screen of death)"
Don't be afraid to lock the screen manually when charging anyways. the enabled function is enough to prevent. There is no need to really keep the screen on while charging.

Skynet kernel for CM7/MIUI
mostly based on temasek's and ironkrnL
current version: v2.1
WARNING: I am totally NOT a professional kernel developer! I am just trying to learn with this. - Smashing code together and sharing my results. Do not use this if you wan't anything stable. Even if my kernel builds seem to run stable it doesn't mean that everything is cool with it.
As you know i am a total fan of ironkrnl, but im a bit pissed that it doesnt get updates, and i also wan't the new stuff like ksm and google snappy compression, so i started smashing this together This completely replaces the old BangMod-pack.
FEATURES (differences to cm-stock)
- Google snappy compression
- Voodoo Sound (get "Voodoo Sound" app from market for really using the advantiges of it)
- KSM support (saves ram, eats cpu)
- OC/UV (see table below)
- Ramhack (see available variants below)
- CIFS and TUN support, shipped as modules.
- Updated sensor drivers from LGE V20L
- BFQ scheduler updated to v3r2, and set as default
- SLQB slab allocator
- jRCU
- Linux v2.6.32.59
- automatic downclock to 503MHz max when screen off.
- Backported CRC32 improvements from linux 3.0.y
- SHA-1 patches from LKML (taken from jarvis github)
- Backported FSync Control v1 by Ezekeel.
- Benee's vibration control port, taken from wildfatduck github.
- Force fast charge patch by Chad Froebel. taken from jarvis github.
- Several LG updates/fixes. ported by faux123, wildfatduck, benee.
- other tweaks/fixes/optimizations by other kernel devs (see credits)
OPTIONS
RAMHACKS
replace the "64" in the filename with one of the following numbers
Every value between 0 and 96 will work.
Here some examples:
0 -- Everything is working
32 -- Everything is working
48 -- Everything is working
64 -- 1080p video recording/playback doesn't work
80 -- 1080p video recording/playback and some very heavy 3D games doesn't work (Chainfire3D texture resolution adjust help)
96 -- 1080/720p video recording/playback, and many 3D games doesn't work (Chainfire3D texture resolution adjust help)
FLAGS
rename the file with following options
-anim -- Disable installation of bangmod bootanimation
-basic -- Disable even the most basic tweaks (this would not exclude other tweaks. if not set will setup optimized values into autostart for the low memory killer (oom), the dalvik-vm and sd cards.)
-bravia -- Enable installation of sony bravia engine
-cam -- Enable installation of modded stock cam by kostja
-cron -- Disable installation of cron job for automatic cache dropping (a cron job on linux is an executed command on defined times. this one will clear the vm cache every 3,5 hours. keeps ram clean even if you don't restart for weeks.)
-dens -- Enable low density tweaking (210) for higher screen resolution.
-ffc -- Force fast charging. (Removes ability to transfer files)
-font -- Disable installation of roboto font
-fsync -- Disable fsync. (WARNING: disabling fsync may cause data loss! read more about what fsnc is here)
-fsc -- Force slow charging.
-gapps -- Disable installation of google apps
-jrnl -- Enable ext4 journal removal and 'risky' mount options (not recommended)
-keep -- Disable deletion of unnecessary CM apps (that means CMStats, CMUpdateNotify, LiveWallapapers, LiveWallapapersPicker, LiveWallapapersPicker, MagicSmokeWallpapers, VisualizationWallpapers, Protips)
-ksm -- Disable activation of kernel samepage merging
-log -- Enable log removal on boot
-nitz -- Install nitz fix for su660 basebands (will get removed if not set)
-prop -- Disable tweaking of build.prop
-sql -- Disable installation of tweaked sqlite.so
-uv -- Enable slight undervolt
EXAMPLE
The default filename is
"Skynet64_201205271152-bravia-cam-log-uv.zip"
which completely fits the settings of the old BangMod-pack. Just leave it how it is, if you trust and want my personal selection.
If you wanna change anything, this is an example to have a clean kernel-image-only installation without any tweaks/mods:
"Skynet0_201205271152-anim-basic-cron-font-gapps-keep-prop-sql.zip"
Change the flags/ramhack-number however you want your install, with the values descripted above.
OC/UV Table
Clock (MHz) | Default | with -uv
1408 MHz | 1250mV | 1200mV
1312 MHz | 1150mV | 1100mV
1100 MHz | 1050mV | 975mV
912 MHz | 950mV | 875mV
655 MHz | 900mV | 850mV
503 MHz | 875mV | 850mV
324 MHz | 825mV | 800mV
216 MHz | 800mV | 750mV (actually 770mV due to min cap)

o get tablet mode on ICS Stunner, please follow this steps:
Settings > Euphoria Control > General UI > Switch Tablet/PhoneUI > Custom > 200 (Tablet) > Reboot.
After Reboot, go to Apex Launcher Settings and set grid size to 6x6 or 6x5 to enjoy full screen accommodation of icons.
If you still don't get Tablet Mode, that means your device isn't rooted properly and you need to clean install this ROM.
It is important to follow the steps mentioned there carefully.

Is video camera working and saving videos? Cuz thats like the biggest issue for me on all the other roms.
I read the first post, but wasn't sure on one point regarding the phone/tablet versions. Does this mean that the tablet ui version only has the tablet ui on it? Meaning I could not manually edit build.prop and change dpi to kick it into phone.

You can change DPI just by editing the /system/build.prop with Root Explorer
It works on every rom (aosp aokp miui...) so this should work here too
Great too see yet another nice build. Will see if I can get some time to spin it.

It should not be, because it is built upon the existing ics from imilika, which does not have working usb host/hdmi out (correct me if I got that wrong).
I don't think it works on any of the ics roms atm until we get a better leak or a true release.
tl;dr
Changelog for CM10 Galaxy S
Complete history
Yes i know that there is a page Called BBQDroid that manage this and is great, but when i go to: http://changelog.bbqdroid.org/#/cm10/galaxysmtd I saw all the changes for all the cm10 devices.

The current CM10 builds, although alpha, are fairly stable. Aside from possible GPS issue and standard 911 disclaimer.

As you can see there are a LOT of changes and improvements.
There are common bugs (CM10 and CM9) like GPS failure and 911 calls.
If you want, you can test this ROM, check the stability and see if you like it. It is NOT the best shoot to take CM10 as you daily ROM until this bugs are corrected.
In addition to these errors, you should be flashing every time because there are more changes between versions. In the OP you can see the proofs.
Very important changes in this garrit.
If you can, update your ROM.
Vsync and internal changes :good:
I guess this thread is dead?
The bbqdroid is completely functional. So you can follow all the changes from there.

Some tips to save battery life:
1) Disable auto sync for accounts if you don't need them. Syncing kills!!
2) Disable GPS and enable it only when you want to use it.
3) Disable auto backup for Gmail account.
4) Set brightness level to automatic.
5) Disable motion if you don't use it from developer options in settings.
6) Check your apps settings and disable useless background sync
7) Use UV (under-volted) kernel. Undervolted means that your device will use relatively less battery to give the same CPU frequency
8) Try out different CPU Governor
9) Use autoStart app or Startup manager to disable un-needed app from automatic startup on boot. It will also make the startup time faster.
10) If you are facing battery juicing, use better battery stats app to find out what application preventing your phone from getting to deep sleep and find out the different types of wake locks.
11) Remove apps you don't use.

Installation:
1- Full wipe is recommended: factory reset, wipe cahce, wipe dalvik, format system and preload.
2- Flash the ROM and follow AROMA instructions.
3- Strongly suggest to not choose a third party launcher, go with default stock launcher, smoother and better for performance.
4) Reboot.
5) Look up at the best kernel and try it.

This kernel supports both new and old bootloader and apparently it's also the favorite kernel of the MIUI team (****ing thieves...) !
This is not a "phonsole" kernel, it's not made for draining your battery in a nanosecond because "it's cool to play tegra3 designed games on the p990", so there is overclock, but done "The Right Way™".
Our phone is quite powerful on its own, but LG and Nvidia made a really crappy job on optimizing it. I'm just working to make it a bit better and to provide a reliable, stable and battery friendly kernel to all those people who actually use a phone... as a phone...
There are experimental/unstable versions that i release every now and then for public testing. Official kernels are released when the beta testing phase is done and 100% of the feedback is positive. Don't ask for ETA or you'll be fish slapped... badly !. This of course is not valid in case a nasty bug slips in the release, in which case i'll do my best to fix it within a few hours.

Q & A
Q: Battery !!! Why it's so baaaad ! My phone doesn't sleep !!!
A: Well, don't get it badly, it's not really my problem, is it ? 99.999% is an app you have installed that's preventing deep sleep...
Q: App X crashes ! OMG I lost my sdcard ! Noooo all my data are gone !!!
A: Read again on top, not my fault, sorry. I try my best to give out a stable kernel, but "**** happens" and i can't control it...
Q: I get tons of bsods, my phone doesn't wake up from sleep, it freezes and omg... it just exploded !!!
A: No dmesg / logcat, no party. And please don't post messages like those in the thread if you're not ready to attach a log to the post.
Q: When will you enable gpu overclock, road runner speed mode or wile e. coyote immortality ?
A: Never... on a second thought... maybe... who knows ?
Q: When will you release the new version ? It's a week we're using the old one !!
A: Is it stable ? Then please allow me to fish slap you with a huge trout !
Downloads
All downloads for Kowalski Kernel are in this folder on DevHost.
Updates will be pushed to those folders based on the kernel version, and a change log will be filled in the next post accordingly. Kernel releases will be announced in the thread.
The downloads labeled as "kowalski-*-XXX-YYYbl" are obviously the kernels for [YYY=old || YYY=new] bootloader and XXX represents the version number.
* In Kowalski Manager on kernel 2.6.39.4 you can change the power management settings of the wireless card:
- PSP Power Saving Mode ---> your wifi card will use Max PSP when asleep. The kernel default is to sleep in Fast PSP mode.
- Awake Power Management ---> your wifi card will use Fast PSP when awake if enabled, otherwise will use CAM mode.
- Hotspot Power Management ---> when enabling hotspot mode, your wifi card will use Fast PSP if enabled, otherwise the default is to use CAM mode.CAM (Constantly Awake Mode)
Keeps the client adapter powered up continuously so there is little lag in message response time.
Consumes the most power but offers the highest throughput. Is recommended for desktop computers and devices that use AC power.
Fast PSP (Power Save Mode)
Switches between PSP mode and CAM mode, depending on network traffic. This mode switches to CAM when retrieving a large number of packets and switches back to PSP after the packets have been retrieved.
Is recommended when power consumption is a concern but you need greater throughput than that allowed by Max PSP.
Max PSP (Max Power Savings)
Causes the access point to buffer incoming messages for the client adapter, which wakes up periodically and polls the access point to see if any buffered messages are waiting for it. The adapter can request each message and then go back to sleep.
Conserves the most power but offers the lowest throughput. Is recommended for devices for which power consumption is the ultimate concern (such as small battery-powered devices).Source will be pushed to my github about 2 or 3 days after a release, to make sure that no major bugs are introduced in the public repository.
This kernel can be compiled with any gcc 4.6.X that supports graphite loop optimizations, so if you want to compile it by yourself you'll have either to build your own toolchain (for example using crosstool-ng), or use one of the many linux prebuilt ones (for example Linaro or CodeSourcery). Make sure they're 4.6.X. Earlier versions may complain a lot and generate and unstable kernel. Newer versions (aka 4.7+ won't produce a bootable kernel at all unless source modifications are done).
Please don't rip-off my work. Please don't kang this kernel. Please don't c&p from my github without proper credit. I'm a nice guy, but i will report you.
Thanks
* wkpark for unlocking the ics bootloader and his genius ideas for implementing ramhack
* linus, well, for the linux kernel
* massimo69, stonebear, tetsuo55, wfd and carloit for taking the risks of testing possibly harmful pre-releases
* qualcomm, because codeaurora is awesome !
* benee, for his perfect any-kernel installer !
* wfd, for his fantastic Kowalski Manager App !
* hjunii for forward porting and cleaning up all the LG crap to kernel 3.1.10 !
On a side note... i'm not really responsible if you decide to test it and your phone melts... right ?

007 - 2013/01/13
* Full changelog that lead to this release in my CM10 thread at the second post
How-Tos
Change the default TCP Congestion Algorithm
To see what algorithms are available you can, in a terminal/adb console, type: "sysctl net.ipv4.tcp_available_congestion_control"
To change the default congestion algorithm, type: "sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_congestion_control=one_of_the_names_that_came_out_before"
Change the Wifi Power Management modes
In a terminal/adb shell navigate to /sys/kernel/wifi_pm.
You can change the high power management setting by typing: "echo 1 > max_pm" to enable it, or "echo 0 > max_pm" to disable it (cam / psp modes).
This setting will enable/disable the PSP power saving mode when the phone is asleep. Be careful, not all the routers are happy with it.
You can change the awake (screen on) power management setting by typing: "echo 1 > wake_pm" to enable it, or "echo 0 > wake_pm" to disable it (off / cam modes)
Change the leds brightness
In a terminal/adb shell navigate to /sys/class/leds/star_led.
You can change the high value setting by typing: "echo XXX > max_brightness" to modify it, where XXX can be a value between 0 (off) and 255 (max).
Change WiFi TxPower
Interestingly enough, Broadcom/LG decided that they want us all dead in a very short time so they set the default txpower of the wifi chip to 32dBm (that's a whopping 1.6 Watts in power). Considering that the US FCC sets a top limit of 30dbM/1W for antennae and that the EU sets a max power of 20dBm/100mW for consumer products, i'd say that Broadcom and LG are quite some nice companies... also wonder how they went past controls with this one...
Anyway, i packed a flashable zip that will install the "iwconfig" and "iwlist" binaries to /system/xbin in your phone. After flashing this one you can, from a terminal, modify the txpower value in real-time depending on your needs (if at home 5 mts from the router, or in a park 100 mts from the access point). For now a binary, soon an apk to handle this, so bear with me and wait
You can download the package from here
To check the current txpower value
Code:
su
iwconfig wlan0
To set the new txpower value
Code:
su
iwconfig wlan0 txpower XX (where XX is the value in dBm)
On this link you can find a W -> dBm conversion table that might come in handy
Side notes: 1) To use iwconfig your wifi must be on and 2) When you turn it off/on or reboot, the setting will be reset to 32dBm for now.
Alsa Mixer
There ya go, for all of you a little deaf that love some real crackling from your phone's speakers
Packaged in a nice cwm flashable zip (alsa_mixer.zip) that you can find here is a collection of binaries that will be installed in /system/xbin and that will allow you to alter a bit the volumes of your phone. Of course you'll have to slap the values that you like in an init.d script once you find them, or they won't persist on reboot.
For example, to boost a bit the speaker volume, you can type: alsa_amixer sset "Speaker" "60" (max is 63) and to see the current setting you type: alsa_amixer sget "Speaker"
I suggest that you look into the alsa_amixer help and experiment a bit with the values. You can't break anything, and a reboot will reset all the values to default

"Official" cm releases are so filled with bugs that we should call an exterminator lol
First let's try to get a 10 stable, then we move to 10.1... that's the plan and i won't deviate that soon from it.

Hi!, thanks for this release.
I have one question that I cannot answer from the OP... why is there a separate file for the PSP module? Should I flash it after the kernel or it's not mandatory? Is it valid for both BL versions?
Thanks
Awesome, your kernel runs excellent on my O2X(now at 13/01). No SODs whatsoever and very stable since first releases.
If people have SOD problems, it is not always kernel related. I have swapped my device for a new one after lots of black screen issues and with the new one I have almost 0 issues even with the same ROM+kernel.
It seems our device has many different (good and horrible)hardware revisions, I suggest to swap your device at the retailer if it is possible within your warranty.

Updated op. It's valid for both bootloaders and it's not mandatory. The psp module will enable the PM_MAX flag when the phone is asleep, so make sure your router/ap supports PSP mode (if it has a broadcom chip then it does for sure) or your phone will lose packets when in deep sleep.
The gain in battery life though is gigantic... you decide
The Kernel work in P.A.C.Man fine too... Both Bootloader
About led lights I noticed that if I put "always on" with a very dim light this setting doesn't apply system-wide. If I receive a mail with gmail all fine but if I get a text via a third-party app like whatsapp or viber the light goes full brightness (but it respects the "always on" setting). I had to set a custom brightness for every application manually.

Sorry for my English.tu
About download/media provider / mtp in this ROM
downloading and will test out.
Great job, thanks!
two crashes in first hour, hard reboot required
1st was after installing tapped out, 2nd was exiting apps drawer into homescreen after changing wallpaper.
gone "back" to .140
what launcher is it? that is a sweet launcher.
also, when running, the phone was just amazing, can't wait for update if coming
Hmm, I would like to make update, repairing your crashes, but if I cannot replicate those crashes, I cannot see what's wrong. What do you mean by crashes?
Thanks for feedback.
Phone completely freezes and unresponsive to touchscreen and hard buttons, only thing I could do was hard reboot
Sent from my LT30p using XDA Premium HD app
With stamina mode on or off?
However it comes, didn't tinker with that

Fast as hell and zero issues here! Best rom ever!
Small navigation buttons compatible?
Yes, should be compatible.
But choose the right version. (.489)
I noticed one force close in settings, storage, data to sd. I will bring back SemcStorageChecker with 95% full notification in next version.
wiped and reinstalled with no further issues so far.
really is nice.
are you going to upgrade the rom to .140?
and +1 for the best rom comment

I'm loosing transparent status bar when i try to install small buttons.
Can u fix it 4 me please?
Also I like lock screen without icons. If I change the apk will still be transparent?
I am in loved with this rom!
I am glad, it's working for you now.
If someone comes with something big, that's new in .140 fw, I will update it.
But for now, I am waiting for next Sony update.
Flashed it on my locked T with .140 kernel and doing fine so far. Performance is great. Of course I won't be able to overclock but that's ok.

I can't install small buttons!It's not working!
@TiMiN8R - I am glad, you like it. Of course, it will be working on locked.
But except overclocking, there is problem with init.d. Depending on which .sh (for example install-recovery.sh) you're using for run-parts, they are running too soon and values are later overwritten. I thought about removing all values from other scripts and putting them all in init.d.
Interactive governor is not in stock kernel.
Sysmon works normally, it chooses nearest lower value of cpu, if the one used is not available.
The rest should be fine too.
@POWER1FM
Install it manually, only framework-res.apk, not SystemUI.
You will loose the transparency of lockscreen, if you take another one.
Thanks for your work, great rom. :good:
As to failures comets on:
- Dark theme in MMS app is not working
- Alarm clock Working with stamina is not enabled for now
What really worries me is the issue of alarm, as it is important for me to charge at night and wake up in the morning.
I hope if intention to offend the next update as I find a great ROM and I'm looking forward to using it in my power Xperia T
Regards and thanks once again
(sorry for my English)
Edit.Xperia T
Alarm works normally, but you cannot use extended battery mode. The app is disabled by extended battery mode. I am trying to find, where to put it on whitelist.
