maybe someone here can help? the other day i was using facebook on my phone and it died, so naturally i put it on the charger not thinking much of it, come back later and try and turn it on. it makes noises, vibrates, and the two buttons at the bottom light up but nothing come up on the screen. its just black. it wasnt rooted and was running on stock, although im not sure what version, i think gingerbread. ive tried pulling the battery many times, and tried getting it to bootin into the recovery stuff. any help on this would be much appreciated.

ok at this point ,
1)try powering on yr phone continously holding the power button for about 8-10seconds...
2)second option, try putting yr phone into both download and recovery mode using he 3buttons...
3) if still not turning off try and flash a stock rom of yr region using pc odin in download mode.
this will get yr phone to work incase if its an os crash.

Minor Problem
Every Boot Up, I have Android is Upgrading... Starting Application.
Major Problem
After 1st Startup, My phone successfully detects my Sim Card, when i press reboot, it doesn't detects my SIM CARD until l i pull my battery out and reinsert in. Happens quite alot of times today after installing CWM and Camera Mod, can anyone help me thanks alot.
Lol. You're cwm must be messing. Make data factory reset, if solved good. If not uninstall cwm. i suggest you remove your battery and connect your cable to PC and phone by pressing down volume button open lg software tool in PC now after going to download mode replace your battery back, go to recovery, type your imei and recover your mobile. Simple.

Help please. After trying to reflush my old firmware with Odin, it got as far as OSM -All threads Completed, (successful /0 ,Failed /0)
It got stuck in there so I had to remove the battery and try again but it just keeps doing the same thing. After disconnecting from the computer
all I have now is three small icons on the screen: one tiny phone, a triangle with exclamation mark and a computer. I downloaded Odin and the correct firmware from this site, so what has gone wrong and how do I proceed?
Many thanks
You need to enter download mode again and reflash

Hi,
Thanks for that.
After several trials, I did manage to get back in download mode and managed to flash the installed Firmware 2.3.6 without any problem.
After resetting, everything seemed to be working fine. However, I left it turned off overnight, switched it back on again this morning but
nothing has changed. My original problem was that on switch on, it takes ages for the phone to activate. I get the welcoming screen
that goes away, comes back for anything up to 5 minutes until it eventually goes on to full screen and everything works well.
So what is causing this problem and what else can I do
Hi all experts,
My original galaxy note suddenly won't turn on, then i tried reboot many times.
It stucked at samsung logo screen.
I tried to wipe cache (sorry if i'm noob) then suddenly the battery dropped out and then phone turned off.
Now i can't go to restore menu anymore , it pop out many red words with FAILED and it won't turn on at all.
Please help ? anyother way to reset the phone ? I can't even charge it .
yeah you probably need new battery, but inmean time charge current one via other peoples phone/external charger.
then try reboot, doesnt work,
try recovery, download mode. they dont work, try jig.

Hey
I have a problem with my device; Whenever it is switched off and I plug the charger on it always boots to TWRP but it does not work- The touch screen doesn't work and pressing the power button locks it and cant swipe meaning I have to manually reboot it.
Thanks

There are a lot of other threads talking about this this problem is known, and there's no solution yet (we have to wait for official twrp support). The only solution for now is to reflash original recovery.img and get back to stock recovery

Thanks for this. To save starting a new thread do you know if there's a way to remove the red HTC boot text?

that shows only when you booting into recovery. the only way is to flash stock recovery
Oh, well, it's good to know I'm not the only one with this issue.
However, why should I flash stock recovery? I mean, there are no further issues, the phone still charges while in this state, and I can reboot it with my PC. There is one thing I'm worried about;
What if I turn off USB debugging? If I would end up in the "stuck recovery" after I have done so, would I be unable to get out?
And also, I think there is a possible fix.. Wouldn't it be possible to reboot the phone by just pulling out the battery and turning the phone back on? Yes I know, "battery is not removable" but I'm pretty sure it is, it always is. It's not going to be easy tho.

i don't see why you have to switch off your phone. theres a lot of options in stock rom like "do not disturb", "airplane mode" etc so you don't have to switch off.
It seems this problem happens when you reboot your phone while charging ( i never had problems) try to avoid that.
ps - i never switch off my phone and only reboot it if needed or maybe once a month. But thats me.

I never turn my phone off, but sometimes I can't charge my phone in time and the battery runs dry. See? I can't reboot at 0%, so I have to charge it a little. Now you could tell me that it still isn't a problem, since the phone still charges in recovery and I can use commands to reboot system.. sure, but I'm working on a way to prevent anyone from entering recovery or using adb-debugging or hard resetting my phone (from a distance, if phone is stolen). This would turn off adb-debugging, causing the phone to be stuck in recovery for ever, if it were to charge in off mode. I guess I'm the only one having a problem with the bug

Hi: guess im one of the lucky ones who never had to deal with this.
You can remote reset your phone using Google device manager. You can ring, lock or erase phone and check last location.

I'm using avast since there are more options for rooted devices I'm well aware of the google device manager, but thank you anyway!
I'm using the Honor 7 with TWRP 3.0.2.0by paulobrien and Unofficial CM13 by papsi177 and having the same issue.
When charging while the device is turned off, it automatically boots into twrp. Does anyone have a solution? Are there other recoveries (except the stock recovery) which doesn't have this problem? Is it somehow possible to modify e.g. a file to have a nice charging animation instead?
It isn't that big issue, but it would be nice to solve this anyway...

I found that users phones and recovery gets different reactions.
When i tried cm12 i had that same "issue" but with cm13 i had the battery animation. Same thing with getting phone freeze when battery run out.
The best chance is to try different recovery versions and hope for the best.
That said, i only switch off phone when battery died on me.
im currently still with TWRP 2.7.1.0-20140802

I'll try to downgrade and see if my charging animation gets back ?
Try the new TWRP 3.0.2-0 from nightcore500. The freeze in charging only mode is fixed on his recovery
