[Q] Battery not charging - Motorola Droid Bionic

I finally rooted yesterday, and installed the Eclipse rom. Everything seemed fine, but I have an extended battery, and after charging all night it shows the same amount of charge this morning (49%). That is showing on the Circle battery widget. The battery meter on Eclipse shows a question mark. Any ideas?
Edit: Just disabled safe system, and battery shows full charge. Weird.

Help! Battery won't charge past 70%

I didn't notice this problem until the day before. My battery status is displaying 70% when the phone consider it to be fully charged.
I've drain it to 5% before charging overnight, but the status still display 70%.
I am not sure if this is a problem with my phone or the battery. Any help would be nice.
Try this but you need a rooted phone for it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=722862
it is just a status bar bug
the battery is probably fine
use Gauge Battery Widget instead to see the real stuff
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8124361&postcount=46
Thank you for the link!! I am trying that now.
This is not the status bar problem as I've test out some of the widget.
The phone would only charge up to 70% no matter how long it will remain on the charge.
Going into the battery info in setting also indicated it is at 70%.
At this moment I am draining my phone with max brightness and everything turn on.
Start off at 70% at 9:30am and now (2:00pm) is at 3%
So I guess I should try to charge it full with the phone off
Did you recently flash firmware to your phone? Make sure your battery is fully charged whenever you flash firmware because it will clear the battery data. It seems to me all you need is a battery calibration. There is a procedure posted somewhere. IIRC, you need charg up the battery to 100%, power down, charge 100%, power up again and repeat a few times.
I had the same problem.
After a day of charging the battery fully charged notification appears. As soon as I unplug it the battery immediatly jumps to 70%.
Is there a way to fix this? Perhaps reflashing when the phone is fully charged (which is currently 70%).
I tried the rm /system/data/batterystats.bin but did not remedy this problem.
Same problem here. It has been this way for a month. Tried calibration, different batteries, different ROMS....everything.
who can help?
using alternative battery widget is not an option if battery stats from settings also displays 70% max
this is very unusual problem - i would suggest:
1) install https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration (phone needs root)
2) drain battery to 0%
3) take out battery for 5-7 minutes
4) put it back and turn on and drain again
5) repeat untill phone will not turn on
6) while still off charge phone to 100%
7) disconnect charger power on the phone, let it boot and use the battery calibration app
8) now let the phone discharge with normal usage untill it powers off (do not reboot, power off during discharge)
9) put the phone to charger, turn it on and let it charge to 100% wo reboots/poweroffs
should be fine
let me try tomorrow..I have similar issue..
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Today, over night charge from 70% to 79%
have you followed my tutorial from this post -> LINK
also can you dial *#*#4636#*#* pick battery information and make a screenshot, then another after a minute or two ...
I made this thread over in the captivate forums, it explains the issues in detail
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1279925
What rom/kernal are you guys using?...
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
concentrate on points 2 to 5 of my 'tutorial' and for god sake use only original charger
and yes, what kernel
Hey Somator, I am trying your tutorial now. I drained my battery to 0% on my phone. I then would boot it up, it would register 1%, then turn off.
I then put my battery in a coworkers phone today and it read 40% when it previously read 0% on mine. So I depleted the battery on his phone, reinserted it into mine, and I am now currently charging it to 100% while it is off. I will let you know how the rest turns out.
I have tried calibration procedures on stock rom, MIUI, CM7, I9000, and I897 Roms.
drain the battery on his if you can and then charge on yours
after that wipe battery stats with https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration
//edit: oh you did exact that - well should be fine from now - still wierd why it just 'decalibrated' by so much in the first place
the original charge has helped me, everything is fine
In case someone is looking for an answer here (considering this is the thread that comes at the top of Google's search results), this is what worked for me:
1. Take the battery out.
2. Plug phone into wall charger.
3. Put the battery back in the phone.
4. Let it charge for an hour. Mine said 5% the entire time it was plugged.
5. Remove phone from charge. Remove battery. Put them all together again.
I hope this works for others.

I have Verizon note 4 that can not be rooted, any other options?

[Q] lock screen charge is different than notification.

Recently flashed Cog 4.2.2 with Existz betav7.
I have cycled the battery about 4 times, further on my last charge I did a bump charge and at 100% I wiped my caches and batt stats.
When the phone is on but charging, even though the notification bar and battery stats say full/100%, the lock screen says 99%.
I searched and did not find an answer to this question, other than replies that said to cycle and bump charge. I have done both but it is still not working.
Any ideas?

Battery stuck at 29%

Hello, I've had my NC for a year this month and never had any major issues. I installed manualnooter 4.6.16a when nook was updated to 1.3.0 some time ago and all was great in the NC world. Recently I noticed that my battery is stuck @ 29% no matter what! I never charge via usb thru the computer always plugged in a wall socket. I dld batt solo widget, and many other battery widgets just to make sure, and of course they all say 29%.
Here's the thing, the n on the cord is green which usually mean its fully charged. I used it til it died, plugged it back in to recharge two days and the % is the same. I went ahead and wiped it, updated it back to 1.3.0 stock and you guessed it, it still says 29%. What do you think the problem is, please help.
The problem may be that your charge cable no longer works with an AC source. I know it sounds far fetched, but mine would not charge above 33% with the cable that came with it, but once I used my cable I use in my car it started charging fast again, and is now charging to 100%.
Download the battery monitor widget and it will tell you if your cable is charging AC or USB.USB charge is very weak vs AC. Try recalibrating your battery either with an app (I use nemas version) or do it under advanced in recovery. Assuming you are rooted.

Assuming he is having the same problem as I did, The nook just stops charging, and will not charge any higher than whatever percentage it stops at. The only thing that worked for me was using a new Nook Color Cable. Just an odd bit of wonkiness.

Also, boot into clockworkmod and clear your battery stats. You're battery should be right around 4200mv fully charged (Spare Parts on CM7 can tell you this). Sounds like you just have an issue where its not recognizing full charged as fully charged.

[Q Nook HD+]Flashing charging indicator a problem?

My NookHD+ has been working fine with CM10.1.3 stable on EMMC. The other day I got home and it was dead even though when I used it in the morning it had at least 50% charge. I plugged it in and the charging indicator was slowly flashing green/amber and then would have several quick red flashes and then just go out. There was a battery icon on the screen that was empty and that was it. I tried another charger and got the same thing. I left it charge all night and the next morning it booted automatically into recovery, I rebooted and it loaded cm but only showed 8% charge. Left it on the charger all day and when I got home it was fully charged. (whew)
There still seemed to be issues though. I could no longer get into recovery and when I plugged it into the charger I was still getting the amber/green flashing, although it does seem to charge. I thought when charging it should just stay solid amber, my wife's HD is solid amber while charging. Thinking I may need to replace it under warranty, I have currently gone back to straight stock to see what happens. I sometimes get the flashing charge indicator and sometimes solid amber. Is this normal or is something going bad?

Battery stats showing wrong and shutdown even having charging.

Mine is Marshmallow, Rooted Stock ROM with TWRP.
From couple of days suddenly phone is shutting down automatically after using some time like there is no charging, but even there is charging.
When going to TWRP, battery percentage showing the actual percentage.
But if restarts the phone, it is starting and getting shut down like no charging.
If I was on any Custom Recovery, I would have tried Reset Battery Stats. But I am on stock ROM.
Please help me.
