Hello I need some help.
I have been searching the forums to see if anyone has been able to install an ICS Rom on an SGS I9000T. As you might know it all about the 850mhz band for 3G and NextG (H). I have stock GB 2.3.3 JV8 firmware installed and my phone is rooted as well, but I have not been able to find any kernel that fits the stock rom to be able to have CWM Recovery. Can anyone please help? I really want to have ICS installed, but I have no clue on how to install it and I have not been able to find anything in the forums. Sorry for the noob question... Thanks!!!

Just bought a samsung galaxy s gt i9000m phone and so far I have done the 1 click root on it and installed rom manager , busybox and titanium backup. I have flashed the Clockworkmod recovery to the phone and looking to update my firmware to 2.2 if I'm able to.
Right now I am running firmware 2.1-update1 from bell and kernel version 2.6.29 darae.ahn Sep-20 #2 . Build Eclair UGJH2
I can get into recovery and download modes without a problem , would anyone mind letting me know what my options are for froyo 2.2 with this bell phone? Thanks alot in advance , looking forward to any replies and help with my questions.

Try the Doc/Kalpik rom. I'm running version 6. Simple to install, with no issues (for me anyways)
Xwjpa v7.6.2
Can I put this on my bell galaxy s ?
Choices are ..:: Current Releases ::..
XWJPA: V7.6.2
XXJPO: V7.6.2
I can't tell which would be better for my bell canada galaxy s gt-i9000m , any help appreciated !
I'm also running version 6 and it is awesome.
None of these roms were designed for the Bell phone so pick whichever one you want. There is a link on Docs first page that may help you decide which version to install. I have used a few of Docs roms and they all worked great on my m.
Sent from a Bell I9000m running Froyo.
Thx guys , did alot of reading and in the end I installed Docs XXJPO 7.6.2 on my bell samsung galaxy s gt-i9000m and its working great !! Only problem I have is it will not accept the lagfix that was reccommended in the read me , hoping someone can answer why to that , otherwise , great to be 2.2 !
Honestly, try it for a while without lagfix. I haven't used one and I notice no lag at all.
I already applied it , to be honest I wasn't seeing the lag but I wanted to get it over with rather than 3 days from now be on here asking about it. I am going to go thru the readme now to see some of the other goodies that were there to choose from and hopefully be done messing on the phone for a while ! I bricked my first galaxy s this week so being cautious with everything now !!!
Even though I am pretty sure I know the answer...does anyone know/has anyone tried applying the ODIN method for the stock Gingerbread rom to a Verizon Tab? From all of the posts I have read it appears to work on the T-Mo and Bell Tabs...but i really want to flash this to my VZW beast!!! Thanks in advance!
Guys,
I have been flashing roms for a year now and as stupid as this sounds I want to go 100% stock bloatware the lot with telstra, on my gt-i9000t in australia, every link I find is either dead or when I have flashed it is just a base rom, none of the telstra stuff is there, does anyone have this and is able to post it all up or does it even exist?? I have literally tried every rom you guys have built and loved them all in one way or another but until I can learn to do it myself I just want to go stock... anyone!
*bump*
Brad, I am also looking for stock telstra I9000T FW, either 2.1 or 2.2 will do
Hoping somebody has them!
Thanks.
Hi,
I would like to flash a rom to this phone. Can I flash any rom made for the I9000? What about the modem? I need this this phone to work in the 850 band.
Thanks,
Can anyone help me with this? There is not much information available about this specific model, I want to flash onecosmic's rom or F1 Innovation if the first is not stable enough.
Also there are no firmwares from my carrier in sammobile's website. Can I make a backup of my stock rom to restore if I ever need to take the phone for repairs?
Thanks,
Just to be safe you better confirm with the ROM developers first. If you just flash it carelessly there's a risk of incompatibility and other matters.
The modem doesn't really matter since it'll follow the modem of the custom ROM that you're going to flash to your phone. Just make sure that your base stock ROM fits the prerequisite (e.g JVU, JW1, etc). For backups you can make one using kies or make an nandroid backup using CWM.
Hope that helps
go ahead and flash i9000t is the same as i9000 the only thing that changes is the modem, just make sure you flash a modem that supports the 850hz band

Is it true for C-RoM 4.4.2 AOSP as well?
there is a question in the development of that rom and the answer is that only i9000. As far as I understand the only difference between the i9000T and the i9000 is the 850MHZ 3G band support. the modem that is used in this Rom is supposed to support the 850MHz as far as I understand so I have no idea why shouldn't it work. any ideas?
could it brick if I try?
Thanks
