[Q] 3 button headphone - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The galaxy note came with play/pause button and volume up and volume down. why is it not possible for other 3 button control headphones to work then?

Why you want more buttons?
Do you know about the other "play/pause button" functions?
- answer call : one click (while receiving a call)
- next song : two clicks (while playing)
- prev song : three clicks (while playing)
- maybe more unknown by me functions
- while receiving a call you can also silent melody using volume down button, in phone and in earphones

Of course 3 buttons are very useful for volume control ! y need not pull out note from ur pant from adusting volume, those additional 2 buttons does the job....

it's just more convenient and feels like a waste having 3 buttons, but only be able to use 1.

"speaker problem?" how can i increase the volume?

Hi all ,
there is any chance to increase the volume of the speaker ?
he is very weak.. (and his volume is on maximum)
tweak or smting will help.
thanks !
No tweaks really available for this. There are like one or two tricks (one of which requires hacking your phone up) that apparently work.
Look around, there are tons of threads in regards to this topic.
Yes the speaker is crap on the diamond. Sooner or later you will get used to it and live with it
do not forget that you have three volume settings.
first system volume, second ringtone volume and third incall volume.
the last you can only set during a call. when in a call, turn on your screen and then press the volume up button. now you can change the volume during a call.
for me this fixed al the volume problems.
offcourse if you want to use your speaker for handsfree or as an mp3 player: don't. the speaker is not intended for this use and you will just irritate people around you. use a headphone instead.

I also thought that the volume during a call is way too low despite having the volume at maximum. Since I installed Phone Weaver which lets you control the incall volume via profiles it blows my ears away. Last time the speaker was too loud during the call but I couldn't turn it down with the volume keys?! It only changed the master (system?) volume but not the incall. What did I wrong?
I have found that the loud-speaker volume is very low during movie playback, what setting deals with this?
Use Advanced Config and enable all Audio Booster options. This maybe helps...
Also Diamond Tweak, maybe disable 100 db Sound Limitation...
However, these are I think for headset, I haven't tried if they affect the external speaker.
One thing that works for sure is setting equalizers to max in In Core player, but I don't know if the core player works on Diamond...
Don't you love it how I actually haven't helped you at all?
I am gonna test all these and edit this post ))))))

Increase the volume of the movie player if its not already 100%?
Personally my speaker is very loud. During calls, at around 50% volume its still so loud I have to keep it a little from my ear.

i think you have to be in the phone menu. when i press the volume during a call, it changes the call volume. maybe phone weaver assigns a different function to you volume button.

Coreplayer shows volume at 100% already, but the volume is so low I can barely hear a thing...
Anyone? It's weird because when I put calls on loudspeaker it's fine, but when playing a movie it's inaudible...

Headphone Vol + / Vol - Control

Is there a possible way to utilize the +/- button on headphones to 1 press and change the volume. I found an APP on Google Play called "Headset Button Controller" but it still doesn't seem to be able to recognize the Volume + and Volume - keys.
Any suggestions?
+1 I would love to know if this can be done. I have also had quite an extensive search on this issue and I have not been able to determine why this is not possible. I have seen apps that allow you to use the one button to increase or decrease sound by pressing 4 or 5 times (how stupid?!).
I have a set of Dre Beats (before people comment: if you don't like them I don't care) and want to be able to use the remote.
I have seen images of the headphone jack which has been pulled apart which indicate several connector rings, meaning that a remote control with three buttons should work. I would even settle for a stock remote from Samsung which allows you to connect your own headphones to it but nothing.
If anyone can shed any more light on this subject it would be greatly appreciated.
The white Samsung headphones that come with the SGN-7000 change the media volume when the up/down buttons on the headset are pressed.. or am i missing something here?

I would love to have an adapter where it have volume control and the receive/end call button and yet you can use your own 3.5mm earphones too.
The IEM with buttons that came with n7000 sucks moreover you cant use your own earphones
anyone managed to find such an adapter? :/

[Q] Chimera ROM music control locksreen problem.

Hi there
I got a real good time with Chimera Rom, it's amazing at its speed and responsivnes and battery life also. Only issue that I currently have with that rom is this:
When I'm playing music on headset or without it, with screen off, when I try to switch songs or increase/decrease volume, it seems to record to signals - one for PRESSING second one from LETTING button go. That's unbeareble annoying when it comes to changing music (2 tracks at time) or increasing volume.
I'm using poweramp, but problem is showing in any music players. Help please.
Any advice?
almer rnpticl
i have the same problem.
if i have the setting to skip tracks on ROM Control checked:
volume up single click : volume increases then tracks skips 1
volume up hold : track skips twice
same happens for volume down
if i dont have that feature checked in ROM control:
single click on volume up : volume increases about 4 steps
hold on volume up.. volume increases to max (which is normal)
same happens for volume down
i think there is a conflict with that ROM Control option and the settings for Skipping Tracks while screen is off on the Settings>Sound>tick Skip Tracks while screen is off. although im not sure if this is the case.
have you solved your problem?

[Q] Make remote buttons volume instead of next/previous?

Hi. I just got Xiaomi Piston v2's and they have Android compatible buttons. Only problem is the two buttons I expect to operate volume instead are doing next/previous track which the middle button does anyhow when you double or triple press. Is there any mod that allows them to be volume buttons instead? Apparently on a Galaxy S4 the volume buttons operate the volume? Is this an HTC issue?

[HELP] Bt Volume Sync

Hey guys, i bought a Mi a2 recently and i have only two worries about it.
1 - I miss moto fingerprint actions (lock the screen) and gesture actions (chop-chop and turn to open camera) [I owned a moto z play 1gen]
2 - (the main reason for opening this thread) Bluetooth Volume and Media Volume don't sync :'(
Explaining better:
When i pair my JBL Reflect Mini 2 on the MI A2 and try to raise the media volume through bt headset buttons, the media volume still the same and the bt volume says that reach the maximum volume. I have to raise volume directly through phone buttons.
When i pair the headset on my older MZP, the bt buttons work as they should do.
I already got sure that Absolute Volume is unchecked (and checked-unchecked a million times) and i don't know what to do next (except ask for help :'( )
I have the same problem
