[Q] Arabic language is not supported on all new custom ROMs

Hello All,
Why Arabic language is not supported on all new custom ROMs (For people who want to benefit of newest features offered by these ROMs)
Is it hard for developers to add it?

Not entirely true: This ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1003280
Based on overcome kernel and has arabic language support. If you click the download link you will have link to 3 roms clean full and arabic support. Needless to say choose arabic for your pleasing.

same problem here.
in arabaic countries you can breng your tab to a samsung center and they upgrade it with some kind of a fix where you get the arabaic/farsi/mid east
fonts back. i have the same problem with farsi font.
tip
you can download persian browser. this is an app which shows the fonts the right way. also arabic websites

Any new rom is based on a rom that was released for a world region, so they don't usually contain languages for other regions.

But the link that you posted is 2.2 firmware.
Did you know any ROM supporting Arabic for 2.3.3 firmware?

We have an arabic patch for overcome. It supports arabic across the OS except for browser. Its temporary fix till gingerbread arabic locale is released.

[Q] Language Pack for ICS Rom Needed

Hallo,
I ported "aokp-b35-anarkia-0.3.1" rom from
"Galaxy S I9000" and It does not show names of Arabic contacts. How I can get Multi Languag Support on my phone. Thanks

Thanks for quick reply but there is no Arabic Languag listed.

You might have to wait for a update if on cm9 nightly, check http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=captivatemtd they are doing translations in nightly updates it seems you might have to wait.

Hi, i currently have Galaxt Note with the UK stock ROM. I wanted to flash it to Saudi Arabian ROM because i want arabic. Anyways, my questions is will i get the same games and apps as i used to have in the UK ROM ?

No, you won't.

any rom have arabic support

اما لو عايز السيستم كله عربي لازم تنزل فونتات

middle east till now doesn't support ics only gb
so i am on ics lpf Taiwan version

Not possible without an existing ROM with Farsi and for XXLSZ you only have the German (European) official and for Chinese/Korean the leaked releases (ZSLM5).
Even if you have a Rom with another language: it is a lot of work to add the language files to the apks etc.
I think you should wait for the official update in your country.
