Hey guys
i flash ics roms daily and i cant settle on one of them because the stock ics video player cant play all formats, especially MKVs, and most play store video players cant do that either.
So i was wondering if there's a way to install samsung's stock video player in any ics aosp, aokp, ics stunner rom.I tried to install it but it says application not installed.I found it in Alba's tom which is ics so there has to be a way.
Thanks in advance,,,

No ways the samsung stock player gonna work in AOSP or AOKP unless some dev really gets hell bent on it and do some really hard sh3t code magic. And believe me the devs have more imp things to do than going for this ;-)
Cheers!
P. S. U tried moboplayer? Or mxplayer after downloading their requisite codecs???
BOOMED from my BOMBASTIC NOTE

hi
i tried all the gingerbread Custom ROMs and Official ROMs,and i understood that none on them have Video playback,i tried RockPlayer,mVideo,VitalPlayer,Real player&etc, but none of them play videos!
Even in Cyanogenmod7 And Modaco's Custom Rom(GRI54)!
can someone help Me fix this thing on my nexus?
or tell me why it is like this?
or if you know any gingerbread rom that supports video formats like .mpg,.flv,.wmv,.MP4,.avi,.etc And Rock Player works on it in Normal Mode playing option.
thanks
I haven't tried any other formats, but mine plays 3gp videos fine. Youtube working fine as well if that means anything.

Super AOSP 2.8.4 Works Fine For Me Plays All Formats
I tried tonnes of video players from the Market but none was as good as the stock one. I guess it utilizes the hardware better than the rest. I got no lags or delays with the stock LG player but get constant lags with VitalPlayer, Rock Player etc.
So I managed to get the apk of the stock LG player and tried to install it on my CM O2X. It failed. So I copied it to system/app and tried to install from there. No go. This is the error message I get :
Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES]
Any help guys?
of coz u cant, first, this is for 2.2.2, cm is 2.3.4, and cm dont use LG framework
if u want watch mp4 like the stock, install meridian from market
Taking a quick look... i think i can get this working as a normal non sys app once i've finished modding the LG camera app.
Plus just waiting for a stable cm release so i can test, i'll be porting all the LG apps to cm unless LG beats me to it with their 2.3 release soon?
-smc
I see. Alright thanks guys
+1 this app has the option of playing sound in 'surround'
OK,
so i think i install every possible Rom on my gtablet , but cant find one with , all those elements working together .
im just end user with some knowledge of stuff , but not enough to claim to be developer .
please help me to find Rom with those elements working together :
flash
Netflix
market
camera
thanks , hope somebody can help
hmm i think the hard part is netflix, i myself dunno what netflix is. But as for working market, overcome and cm7 has working market. But how hard it is to find a working market ?
As for working camera, I think all are working, usually the big problem is the video recording which cm7 and all roms derived from it has this bug, but any custom roms based from stock should not have this problem. Try overcome if ur a nubi, its perfect to learn how to flash.
If you re not looking for anything spesific, stock rom mey suitable with you. If you want oc/uv feature, use koxudaxi's.

I have the same issue with rocketrom v10, even AFTER I´ve installed adobe flashplayer (and rebooted).
I too am in favour of HTML5-solutions but untill then it would be really nice to be able to play flash video in my mobile browser on this awesome rocketrom v10.
It's like he says: you go to a website that has a flashvideo, the flashplayer loads but then nothing happens. won't play even if you tap the player.
Any help? Anyone?

Hello,
my Note also runs the awesome Rocket ROM V10. For me, the solution was to download Adobe Flash Player from Google Play, and the "Lucky Patcher". Lucky Patcher has an "user defined" patch for Flash Player. And so, goal.com is able to show me the movies.
not working

I'm on cm9 right now but the battery life is killing me, I downclocked to 1ghz and will see what happens tomorrow.
Anyone plz, I need to know how to get that flash bug out of rocket rom because I like rocket rom.
How about back to stock, install adobe flash. And then flash rocket rom without wipe. would that work?
because the first time I flashed rocket rom I had no problem with flash content in my webbrowser...
any one get flash player working with CM10 or PAC Roms??? i tried all flash player listed for ICS non of them worked, the result any browser will stuck when i try to run flash player.
You try with slim rom ?
Have you tried searching for a solution? Google brings up tons of results --> https://www.google.ca/search?q=adobe+flash+jelly+bean
i tried all these flash player ,the one for ICS non of them worked. also i tried them on slimbeans,CM10 and PAcman roms. flash player work fine on CM9 android 4.0.4 but not on 4.1.2.
This specific method (link) claims that Flash only works in Dolphin Browser HD 8.5.1 (specific version) and it may also be laggy and/or buggy. Probably your best option, I would think.
Honestly, Flash is just a thing of the past, and it needs to die already. Most major Flash-enabled sites have switched over to HTML5 already, and those who haven't probably will soon once they notice their analytics are dropping off. Mozilla is working on a SWF player for Android, and I actually disagree with it. The web needs to move on from Flash. When these tools are made to keep a dead format going, nobody is going to innovate for a better future. HTML5 is worlds beyond Flash, so why even bother with the obsolete and cumbersome product?
