Hello. I am using the Nova HD RC22-41 ROM with the HP 2x Extreme kernel on the 725bb/ril. I am experiencing immense battery drain. In about 3 hours, all my battery is finished without using it. Should I install a new baseband? Please help. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I installed OS Monitor, and there seems to be no applications using much of the CPU resources. I even have JuiceDefender ultimate installed. Should I install a new baseband?

Which Kernel works in Stock 2.2.2 v10d !!!
From past few days i'm looking for a kernel which works on stock and can be OC to 1.4GHZ or 1.5GHZ Please help me
If you can help me i will be always thankful to you
As i am new in XDA and Lg Optimus 2x is my first Android mobile !!!
Hi. First of all, read, read, read and then maybe proceed. But proceed only if you have an O2x.(P990) Best is to go here and do the superoneclick and rommanager/clockwork stuff. Simply follow the steps. Make a back-up with rommanager or clockwork via reboot.
There are serveral good and stable 2.2 roms, my choice is FR19 Fear Edition
Just search, read and try it out.
If you mess it up and are stuck with a seemingly dead phone use this method.
Good luck.
I have a p990 only and wanted a kernel which works in stock is it necessary to put a custom rom for overclock and if I put a kernel and I wanted to go back to my phones original kernel how will I. Do that f and i have already done root, rommanger and back up but I need a kernel which overclocks and work in stock.

Though changing the kernel can definitely improve battery life, I would suggest changing the modem to the one which works best at your place.. further recalibrating your battery will have a major effect on your battery life..

I think you just have to try many of them Many times the newest is the best but not always.
Give couple of days per kernel and find suitable for you. And I suggest you to read OC/UV tips from Glitch thread. Underclocking and undervolting will increase your battery life too.

Also, I don't like 7.1 very much and right now I'm waiting for 7.5.
So for now, I'd recommend the old version. (6.5 I guess?)
Lets make it clear for everyone.
Stock based rom = batt life saver
CM7 based rom = batt life eater
But in the end, it depends actually of the user how he uses his/ her phone to manage batt life.

i was using stocklite 7.5, before that one, stocklite version 6 (i think it was 6) but i found out that when i put it on 3g my battery drained too fast.. Now i'm using SGS 2 v.9 with 2g and i change it to 3g when i check flipboard, fb,etc

Optimised battery i would think is a combination of both Kernel & Rom Apps, the stock kernel runs close to the 832 MHz frequency at most times even when the phone is idle. I always found my battery went fast when on stock firmware. RB's Kernel supports different frequencies and thus depending on the load on the CPU this can help save battery consumption. A bareboned ROM will also help keep power consumption low but the trade off is less app functionality on your phone.
See retribution gave me a very poor battery back up with 3G and wifi. But its quite fast. Right nw i am on stock deodexed XXLH3...with domscript and rafaels kernel. It gives me a 3/4th of a days use....with 3g and wifi.
Battery back up with simplicity V2 was quite good. But it has some app issues. (extreme bareboned). Kies doesnt recognise my fone. So had to restore my XXLH3 back up.

Go with stock....simplicity V3 would be released.....wait for that...V2 has some bugs.....but a good Rom...... Its based on XXLI1. So try using the stock deodexed version of that. Maybe that stock version has good battery life ( report back and let me know abt the battery drain, If you are going to use that )...
Otherwise XXLH3 is a good option.

Are you running WIFI and 3g permanetly all day? If so this will drain your battery pretty fast regardless of what ROM your using i would assume. The Simplicity ROM's are fast and smooth, but at the moment i would wait for its v3 release, im currently using Jillie Bean Beta2 which works for me. You need to be realistic about how much battery use you will get out of your phone, if its being left idle power off functions you dont need.

I agree with you. I do that with every rom i use. And till now simplicity was best at that. XXLA2 Roms didnt last long than these newer versions. Maybe there wud be some stock battery management tweaks. As of now...the battery has been getting better for me with every new updated stock version. I dont know about other users. I just check and try to bring out the best battery back up possible. And yes...thats what i told him above to wait for V3 simplicity.

Hey I'm about to maybe falsh to newest Simplicity V3.5 version.
But I have a question about this rom.
In the description it is said that it is based on "xxli1", right now I'm running a German Ace i with "XXLD2"
Can some one tell me if "XXLI1" will also support German language.
It is possible to import the language afterwards?
