[Q] Best antutu scores on roms? - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, i went down quite a lot of pages and did not find any antutu score tests on galaxy s.
I was just wondering whats the best ones in what rom's and what kernels. I tried to google i9000 antutu best scores but seems there was not really that many hits and best scores i found was like 4k what sound quite a lot but not sure how legit those are when there was no pics.
I mean my friend got a galaxy note and it get a bit over 7k point and then reading more the damn old sucker galaxy s2 best with pic proof is like 8k.
Was just wondering how my fine old faithful galaxy s can do. I got a decent gingerbread rom and i get a bit over 3k without OC. Can't remember how much more i got with ICS OC'd to 1,4ghz. it was over 3k too tough but not remembering how much above.
Would be nice if you can post your roms that score over 3k and what roms + kernels you are using and how much OC you done. I mean the i9000 is not the fastest phone by far at this point but would be intressed to see if people got how high antutu scores.

Nowadays benchmark doesnt mean anything. There's many ways to cheat, and even if those score were honest it doesn't matter much. What does matter is real life performance

Oh antutu score can be fixed too these days? I mean i now the quadrant score has been always a bit question mark and i heard lots of cheating in it. Well i was just wondering the honest score. I'm trying to find a decent fast rom and the better score in benchmarks the less processor power it uses on stuff and that means a bit better battery life too.. well not always.
I'm just trying to get all out of my sgs before sgs3 comes out.. i must say i just love t his phone.. when i had a fast rom where it worked stable at 1.4ghz it was as fast as iphone 4s in same internet pages on stock browser.
But if people could post the LEGIT non cheated scores it would be better than the cheating ones lol

+1. SGS with Froyo and EXT2 lagfix got a much higher score in Quadrant, but with ICS the experience is much better.

So the real question is what ROMs have given the best real life performance for you?

For me, it's 3827( on Antutu ) ;D with TiramiSlim RC2.0

Quadrant Standard test

Hi everyone,
I have question. My result in Quadrant Standard is something about 800. A lot of people have higher result that's mine. There is any method to do SGS faster and get better results or where is problem in my phone ??
if you want higher quadrant scores you need to do a lagfix. the market has one called one click lag fix but it roots your phone. imo quadrant scores arent indicative of real world phone speed. if it feels fast, it is fast. go to the development section and read up on why this pone lags and all the different lag fixes available. but basically samsung uses a slow file system which causes 'lag' but i guess its all relative to what you are used to.
Everything is ok now. Thanks for your help

[FROYO]Quadrant and Linpack scores

Hello guys, I've just benched my Captivate after installing the leaked Froyo rom and I'm quite disappointed to say the least....
This has really been beaten to death. Quadrant and Linpack are geared towards Snapdragon.

I agree, and in the end who cares?
If my phone runs fast, runs all apps fast, and does everything i want it to do; then i really don't care what the benchmark says.
The Droid X is only faster in Quadrant because it doesn't use Samsung's crappy RFS filesystem, but that's easy for us to fix with lagfixes. The Nexus is only faster because the JIT is optimized specifically for Snapdragon processors and these benchmark programs favor Snapdragon processors as well. With a lag fix our phones are the fastest thing out there. Don't get too caught up in synthetic benchmarks.
dont worry about numbers as much as real world performance.. turn on flash and go browse pages.. proof is in the pudddin!
I agree it is all about real world use. Not to mention if I am not wrong that it has already been stated that Quad doesnt give 100% accurate results. Thread closed

Low linpack scores

Before you make comments I already searches.
Ok...so the other night I'm all bragging about my phone with some friends and had the idea that we should all run benchmarks to see who came up with the best score.
An EVO 4G running cyanogen, Nexus One on 2.2, and a stock T-Mobile G2 all scored in the 30s. My Captivate on Phoenix 2.5 scored 14...wtf? Why are our scores so low?

These benchmark tools are not optimized for our chipset. The score in the end doesn't matter except for each person to see if they have any increases. When comparing with other phones the true test would be speed of the phone which you would probably see the Captivate would perform very well.
Agreed about benchmarking...but if you need to feel better about it test them with neocore or nenamark, the graphics cripple the evo.
I have had both phones and gps aside, the sgs is far better imo.
Linpack performs better on Scorpion CPU's (Snapdragon) due to full JIT optimization. It is not a measure of actual performance.
Tell your friends exactly what GGX said, word for word.
Then have them test just as newter said.
Then tell them to shut up.
Sent from under your bed.
Will do. Thanks guys.

[Q] 1780 MHZ overclock for galaxy note query

hello, xda people,
i am new in XDA and this is my first post. And it is a query about some Antutu scores where i saw galaxy notes clocked to 1780 mhz, 1768 mhz, etc; greater than the 1704 mhz i see on roms like rocket rom and romow rom. I am really new owner of galaxy note. I would appreciate some explanations. Thanks in advance.
Does it make a difference? The 1.2GHZ kernels for the ICS leaks are plenty fast enough, and honestly if you try underclocking your max speed to say 500-800mhz...you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference. Half the reason stock Galaxy Note feels so laggy is the painfully slow animations...but maybe that's just me.

I don't know...just don't understand what difference some 60hz would make?

Top benchmark scores?
thanks for the response, people.
i am just wondering if there are other roms or kernels that have higher clock speeds, or may be it's an ICS thing. lags will always be there even with high clocks. but i am wondering ( just saying) gadgets like PSP, which i had many years ago never had lags even if it was on CF or custom kernels or whatever those stuff were. I hope the laggy experience we get in the note will really be fixed to appreciate some sick animations or what not. well anyway, thanks a lot.
I cant even get over 1600 with AbyssNote
Whenever I get it more than that with SetCpu the phone works perfectly but as soon as I try a benchmark (Quadrant or Atuntu) my phone freezes on the cpu 1/8 part and I have to restart it... so how come you guys can go all the way to 1.78 ?
I am using rr22 and abyss note 4.2. My note can be set at 1704 MHZ. apps like games play very smoothly but of course battery saps fast. RR22 is a great rom. The highest point i got from antutu is about 7900, with abyssnote 3.9. I think abyssnote 3.9 is good, but i wanna try BLN that's why i installed 4.2... quadrant always crashes on my note. mate, it's just uberclock. overall performance on decent battery life is still the beast.

[Q] [ AnTuTu Benchmarks on Note 4! 50,000+ ??? ]

Post up your AnTuTu Benchmarks! (Snapdragon 805's ... well Exynos too I guess haha. Darn you with the 55k+'s!!!)

Snapdragon 805's dream with a stock kernel. Even with a custom kernel, Exynos will always stomp.
What carrier are you running your international variant on?
Great score by the way! Best I've seen. Well of course, exynos lol.

49,863 on STOCK KERNEL running FireKatv2 ROM!!!
Almost 50K on STOCK Kernel!!!!
Anyone break 49K on stock kernel? State your ROM you're using too...
This is all for fun, but has anyone hit 49K on the stock kernel?
I've tested all the available ROM's on the other N4 in my household and none has has hit 49K except, FireKatv2.
Show me! :good::good:
100% Stock rom and Stock kernel no root
I dont get it. I have been on a quest to make my phone better since the note 2. I always hit XDA and tinker and learn as much as I can but sometimes I see scores and I see people really excited about the "speed increase and battery life improvements with new roms etc, and I dont get it because for example this is my score without any work on the phone at all. My battery life is about 7.5 hours screen time with gps on and sync on all the time. Screen set to auto. Dont get me wrong I am a lover of modding and hate all the bs that carriers and sammy puts on the phones I am here because I love to work on my phone but I see no real difference right now even maybe I slow the phone down if I do anything to it. Whats going on? I remember on my note 3 I was able to see some improvement on my benchmarks over stock (not by much) and a little better battery life but again not a huge difference. Also I thought I should mention that on echoe rom I was able to score 24 to 25,000 on quadrant clocked at 2.2 ALL THE TIME I once even scored 27,000 when I was overclocked at 2.5. How come I never break 26,000 even tho I am clocked at 2.7 now. Also why am I scoring so high over modded phones
That's an excellent score! Well in your case it just proves that the stock software isn't terrible. It works....Simple as that. As for the modded peeps with custom ROM's, a lot of them have so much crap on there apps wise and have it heavily tweaked with wanam/xposed where it is really weighing down their phones.
I also have a theory about the CPU's in that they are not all created equal. Remember with the Note 3's there was a prompt in the dialer where you could go to a secret menu to see what type of processor you had. I think it was from 0-7 or something and the closer the number was to 7 meant you had a more efficient CPU, but not friendly / "as tolerant" to overclock as oppose to someone with a number closer to "0" which meant that it was more power hungry and more tolerant to over clocking. If you search for it you'll find what I'm talking about. ...
Anyway, I think we have the same thing going on here....where some of us just happen to have stronger CPU's. It's just like car engines.....not all are the same as every one of them have their own unique character. I remember when I got my AMG C Class and my buddy had the same one but a year newer. He used to smoke me (stock) where I had intake/exhaust/flashed chip. I just didn't get it. Sometimes you just end up with a [email protected]$$ CPU coming from a good batch LOL.
Another example is microSD cards...you can buy the same brand / type and all, but will always have different results. My Samsung 64GB PRO is faster than my other Samsung 64GB Pro that I have in another N4. Same phone, same chip...different speeds.
You have an awesome piece. Great score! I can't wait to break 50K's on a stock kernel!
