Hi, I'm looking for a custom rom for a Sprint Tab 7. anyone knows where I can find one?. I have tryed the CM7 but wifi won't work all the time on it.
Right now there really are only 2 good options for the sprint tabs.. Jt's cm7 kang, or the stock rooted that rodderik posted in his sprint mega dev thread. Sadly those are our only good working options.. I've been running Jt's cm7 since I found it, and haven't had any issues with wifi, other than the fact that it for some reason changes the wifi mac id with each update.

I can... but i dont have a galaxy tab, so will need testers.
People do not seem to be so interested in Remics here i suppose.
I'm not sure its a good idea anymore. It seems a lot of cdma tabs internal memory is getting screwed up running a ics rom. As much as I would love to run a ics rom on my cdma tab, its just not worth taking the chance.

Building a nice modified/themed custom rom based off the stock gingerbread rom would be nice.

U guys have the same problems with JB?
Sadly i dont work with GB now.. Besides themeing takes a lot of time and effort. Dont have that much time these days.
Not sure about JB, us cdma tab owners got abandoned from JB. A pre-beta was made on rootzwiki but its been awhile since a update. I think he's busy doing other things. If you wanna give it a shot, go for it...

Wait.. I don't know much about galaxy tab and it's variants. I suppose P1000 is the international gsm model. Which are the rest?? And which of them are compatible with flashing P1000 roms?

Cdma tab is the sprint/verizon version, it goes by p1c on the cm 9 website. It doesn't use a sim card. The other models either use a sim or is wifi only.

I"m using the AT&T deodexed rom. I'm trying to put faux123 on but all it does is cause it to lock up when it hits the lockscreen and reboot. Sure enough I flashed the stock kernal back on and it boots up fine. I thought all the kernals were compatible

Cool thanks, I'm basically building my own rom, Given the limited amount of choices for this device it seems to be the best way to go. Don't look for it in the developer forum though lol.
I'm basically looking for a stock like experience with a few tweaks.

Thanks, Is danno Honeycomb? Any problems using it on ATT network?
You have a choice of 2 ROM's. Try them both? Lol. I'm dying for ICS too.

Whats added/missing from stock?
anything you miss?
is it any faster?
is tethering built in?
Details at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1701865
A bit more zippy than the stock ROM due to the reasons listed on that thread. Otherwise, it's Samsung's honeycomb image.
Yes, android native tethering, both WiFi and USB, is enabled.
If you still think it's slow, get a new launcher, twlauncher (touchwiz) is kind of a beast...
You can overclock it to 1.7ghz or so and it'll still be reliable, at least that's my experience.
The ATT ICS ROM is in test with the carrier. It'll probably be out in a month or two. Samsung should also release the ICS kernel source around then, after which you'll likely see some custom ICS images -- Nobody wants to bother making custom HC images OR trying to get an ICS kernel working on this device before Samsung releases a proper one -- Several have tried and found it quite a task.
ICS is out for the WiFi versions. The LTE version should be available with Odin or Kies before ATT offers it via OTA.
Is there a baseband update i can use to get 3g yet?
United states
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I assume from your previous thread that you have a Milestone and not a Droid.
The main difference between the Milestone and the Droid is the baseband processor. The Droid is designed to work with the CDMA 3G network in the US and the Milestone with the UMTS 3G on the other parts of the world.
Yeh i got a milestone.. And i get all that. Im wanderin if i flash telus baseband will give me 3g here in the US
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Idk what rom are you using, but in kabaldan's roms there is an option to change baseband so there is no need to flash anything. (in CM10 it is in the Settings/Device/Advanced/Baseband selection)
Im on stock.. Im usen minimod recovery
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Which rom cm 7,8,9? Does flashing a new baseband fix the 3g or is it hardware. Im not sure if i have the europe ver. Bein the firmware confit ver say . GAS_ASIA_USAMS1FRYORTSEA_PO13
BASEBAND VER: 3GSMEPU91A_U_91.09.04I

CM7/9/10
(I recommend you to do a full nandroid backup of your current rom, just in case, and only after that mess with the installation of CM. You can find a full guide in my signature.)
As I said, you don't need to flash anything, just simply switch the baseband withtin the corresponding menu.
I'm 99% sure it is impossible to use 3g on the milestone in the us, because the baseband processor is for umts and not cmda.
Yeh i got it.. Nandroid backup done.. That sux.. I broke my gf cappy glide and now shes gotta use this hunkofjunk.. But o well, was hopen someone figured it out..
