You probably should read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609368
Press thanks if I was helpful

Hi,
I also noticed as was on GB that issue only happened to me when I handled vertically the Galaxy Note.... Like lying on my sofa and typing SMS. And horizontally worked 'normal'.

The PHANTOM finger/stylus

You know this has been nagging at me for a LONG LONG TIME.... Since the days i used to use the Iphone 3gs.... This ALWAYS happens to me once in a while. I tried googling but to no avail, i'm sure there's someone out there who's experienced this.
Ok this isn't fixed to my galaxy note only it has happened on my Galaxy tab the 1st tab 7inch or somethin, has happened on my galaxy s2 and even happened on my iphone 3gs.
Example: You see a big button saying ok on your screen to press OR a letter you wish to key in on your qwerty keypad. You move your finger in to push on it and as your finger comes close within inches of touching your screen THE LETTER OR BUTTON IS PUSHED. Its like OMG IT JUST READ MY MIND HAHAHA. Its even happened to me with the stylus on my note, but even further i mean i'm not hallucinating but i could see i was like at least 1 finger segment away from the screen with my stylus and it registered a touch.
Anyone can explain this phenomena??? LOL or tell me what this is called
I believe this would be of interest to you, it describes capacitive sensing and its applications.
Also, the stylus is special, it's not capacitive. Start here, or search the forums, there have been lots of posts about the Note's stylus and the technology behind it.

Press home and power button together, it is working on LR6 4.0.4 and should work on all 4.0.4 roms.
Check this thread for more info.
1. possibility: slide with palm of your hand frombright to left on the screen
2. Possibility: Touch the screen with the pen for a few seconds while pressing the little button on the pen.

1. Yep, with the edge of your hand, sweep the screen from right to left..
Option 2: press and hold the button on the spen and place it anywhere on screen... Keep it there and it would take the shot in about 1-2 seconds...
Im using any of those steps and im on the latest 4.0.4 stock rom with notecore kernel..:highfive:
:good:

[Q] Home button replacement

Hey guys,
My girl's i8190 has it's home button all screwed up. Stays pressed most of the time or just randomly clicks itself, keeping the phone from any kind of sleep/stand by. I opened the thing but the button is "conveniently" located between the glass and the plating. Any known ways of replacing it? Thanks in advance.
Ever heard of warranty?
maybe he doesn't have a warranty , before you do a crap go visit a samsung service , is better
appreciate the input, but if I was looking for alternatives I would've formed the question differently. back on topic?
Happens to me 2 times, home button stucks, last one was 3 days ago. Time to play with needle...I guess

[Q] screen shuts off but note 2 still running

Hi all
My note 2 screen just shuts off while i'm using it. Funny thing is that it is still running on the background. Only the screen would not show anything on it. For example if i'm watching a video, the screen would shuts down but the video and audio is still running. Only solution is to screen lock with power button and unlock again. It is pretty annoying since it could happen every 5 seconds or so.
Anyone has an explaination?
did you say note 2?
forum is Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000

Here we are at the forum for Note 1 : GT-N7000, not for Note 2.

SPen's weird behaviours

My SPen is having some weird behaviours :
- It doesnt respond with the screen unless I keep pressing (without let go) the button.
- It writes without touching the screen (of course with the button being pressed), and when the nib touches the screen, it stops responding to the screen.
I used the auto updater to upgrade my phone to Nougat, and the problem still persisted.
I think my pen is broken somehow, but I dont know how to make sure of that before ordering a new one from amazon.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If you have a friend that has a Note you can ask him/her to test your display using his/her stylus.
I tested that my N920c works using a Note 2 and Note 3 stylus.

Yeah I use my girlfriend's Note 3 stylus and it works perfectly normal. And when use my Spen on her Note 3, the issue I mentioned above occurred too. So I assume that is enough to state that my Spen is malfunctioned?
99% yes the problem seems to be your N5 stylus
