Hello everyone.
Is there any way by which I can use Google voice in country other than US.?
or can anyone please make a new Google account in usa and activate Google voice in that account, and then give me that account.
I might run voice. I just need an Google voice activated account.
Please help me
I guess you have to have a number from USA, just purchase the one available online or else google it.. You need a number for activation and that's it. Just for verification ..
When I open application it says your email id is not activated for Google voice.
So I want an mail id with activated voice, but it is only possible if you are in usa
Are you using Google voice in india?
I am, but i used a number from USA just for confirmation and that's it ... Find any relative in US for just one time activation..
Use Tor browser if it helps.. and install Google Voice from Play Market via TOR..

Multiple phones, one gmail acc?
Is this possible?
It seems Google Voice can only be tied to one gmail/google account.
I want my cell (G1), my wife's cell (G1), and my home phone all be under the umbrella of the one google voice account.
The Google voice app for android does not have you log in, it simply used the account info tied to the phone.
Use GV?

No you cannot network unlock the phone by flashing SPL or radio. Go to a cellphone shop and they'll network unlock the phone for you. Or call tmobile and tell them you are going out of country and they may give you a unlock code.

Hello everyone, although this is not an app I figured I would share this with everyone since it works much better than Chrome to Phone but please take note that this will require the google voice extension for Chrome. I just remembered that I have a Google Voice account, not sure how it works about getting one anymore because I got mine by referral a long time ago, but if you can get one this is what I did.
Requirements:
Google Chrome
Google Voice account
Google Voice Chrome extension
A cellphone
First add yourself as a contact in your voice account, make sure that it's your cellphone number and not Google Voice's number.
Second install the Google Voice extension for Chrome
Third open the Google Voice extension and "text" your cellphone a link, or whatever, and then save the contact from the text into your phone. Your pretty much finished.
Why I like this method?
Not only can I send stuff from the browser to my phone, but from my phone to the browser, instantly.
Its as fast as an sms, not ten minutes or more like Chrome to Phone.
Much more reliable.
One less app on my Epic4g.
Also this is my first official post of anything significant so I am sorry if this doesn't go here but I am pretty sure no one else has posted this
Have been using my N1 with a Cradlepoint PHS300, Clear 4G USB Modem, backup external battery, and Sipdroid configured to use my Google Voice and pbexs.org as my phone for a while now.
However, I am wondering if with the latest changes in GB and Google Voice if I still need Sipdroid? Is it now possible to set this up using the Call Settings>Internet Call Settings>Accounts to setup GV as a full SIP account and not run the other software? If so, what are the settings I would need for the account (Username and Password should be my GV ones I imagine), particularly for the server, etc.
Thanks in advance!
Unfortunately, Google Voice does not support calling by itself without using another calling plan yet, whether it be through a cell provider or a sip account.
IOW, I should probably move up to a paid PBXes account then, eh?
How can I use the Android to Send Google SMS ?
The default app, Google Voice says Its not available to locations outside USA.
Is there a workaround, to make this work on android?
Nope. Unless if you wanna do proxy.
