Because the wi-fi and bluetooth does not work and the diagnosis assistance in samsung found this failure. And the motherboard for the GT P1000 is very expensive here.

How much?R u not inside warranty?

I wouldn't rely on Samsung assistance. I would really like you to install a different ROM. Try Overcome 7 4.1.0
I don't have the specifics, but usually it's a ROM problem that causes WIFI and BLUETOOTH to stop working.

I also did not trust completely in what I was told by Samsung assistance, but ......
About my GT P1000:
Firmware version: 2.3.3
Baseband: P1000XXJPZ
Kernel: 2.6.35.7 se.infra @ SEP-52 # 2
Build No.: GINGERBREAD.XXJQ1
STATUS
Wi-Fi MAC address: unavailable
Bluetooth MAC address: unavailable
You think that Overcome 4.1.0 can solve my problem?
I am ready to try. Give me some tips, links, etc..
Can it be? Let's do this!

have you tried rooting before, if not since your tab is running Android 2.3.3...you can try the guide posted here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=812367
after rooting your device you can try this
http://www.teamovercome.net/p1000/?page_id=17
since the guide doesn't seem to show any picture you can go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=681
note: please follow the instructions to the letter, to avoid unnecessary inconveniences
grandduke

Btw there is no need to root your device to do overcome method.

Just go to overcome page and do all that it says. And also, do let us know here if it did solve the problem. Would be help to a great number of people who might face the same problem.

Motherboard GT-P1000
Motherboards go for about 180-200 $ + shipping. You can have a look at that alibaba website. There is a supplier selling also small quantities. It is nevertheless probably cheaper to get a faulty one (e.g. with broken glass) and just replace the LCD and glass.
Furthermore they will most likely only accept regular money transfer and you will have no warranty that the requested item will arrive.
That usually is no problem as dealing with chinese companies is a more or less reliable matter but you never know, if the parcel gets lost or broken or wet or whatever.
Motherboard is the most expensive part on a GT-P1000.
Good luck

Yes, I already knew the site Alibaba, but hoped someone direct me to someone else.
First I'll try to reinstall the root suggested and then see what is the result. It may be that result. Who knows?
thank you

DEAD Galaxy Tab. Samsung Center said the Motherboard problem.

Hi all. My TAB is dead already. it's dead just normally not because of flashing or rooting process etc. The battery drain to below 10% before i go to sleep and left it without charging it. I don't think its the cause it's dead.
Btw, when i wake up tomorrow morning, i found it dead then, i connect it with the charger but nothing happen. no lights, no display, nothing show up.
After trying all the combination of keys that i found on google to wake it up, it still not helping.
For info, my Tab is already being rooted and flashed with Overcome 2.0.1 ROM from the first day i bought it a months ago. Its act like a normal before its really dead.
So, I send it to the Samsung Center (Malaysia). After a week, i got a call from them and they said my Tab Motherboard is fault/burn because of 3rd party software that i install on it. I think they mean the rooting & unlocking the Tab. So that, my warranty is VOID! and i need to pay around RM700 (USD 230.49) to change the motherboard if i want.
what you think guys? Does rooting/flashing a Rom will effect the hardware or its just their excuse?
..// sorry for my bad english btw.
i think by this money you better buy new tab .. how come you unlock your tab ? i thought all the tabs in malaysia are Unlocked .
did you try to keep it in charge for at least 4 hours and\or , in USB plug it to your computer and keep it plugging and see , ( this method may and may not work ) ..
but serious 700rm they are taik

You had overcome on it. Overcome allows for overclocking. Overclocking (even if you didn't do it) equals a voided warranty. it's made clear in every post that flashing the device voids a warranty. If you choose to fight, you won't win. This is why there are posts to restock the tab for sending back...

Yes Overclocking can destroy electronic components because of overheating. That is the main reason for me to remove overcome as my tab was abnormally warm compared to stock gb when I had gold flashed to it. I did not even touch any of the oc setting.....and may I add that I am in the Middle East where heat is an issue...

kinda similar with mine....now my gtab still on samsung centre. this morning tried to check it out and it was told that i will receive new korean battery & new machined
the customer service told that before i upgrade to gingerbread (also in samsung centre) my gtab is being rooted??
the question (in my case), is it possible to detect that my gtab was rooted since they (samsung centre) already upgrade it?
well alisabki, its kinda hard in your position....have you tried to look after the mother board on ebay/amazon perhaps? to get the alternatives price?
last night i just read (forgot the sources) that cost to build gtab is only $241 (part+labor)
come to think of it, i guess frequent flashing and trying new kernels may cause wear and tear to the tab. refers to my response here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14765324#post14765324
The service centre person told me they replaced the motherboard and the battery. I am staying stock for now.
Well folks,
Just pick up my gtab and it os i got new korean battery and new machine dunno what they mean with machine here i guess same with u, motherboard with free warranty power.
They said,"my gyab was being rooted" but they already upgrading to gingerbread so they helped me with free warranty.
Imho, my case happened because i had install couple application that required root such as adfree, quikreboot, etc and perhaps the officially gingerbread doesn't comfortable enough which is i haven't rooted
Fel good to be back with this magnificent 7
genuine asia gingerbread
I'm having a hard time believing that it's actually toast. If you'd like me to take a look at it, just PM me as I'm very familiar with fixing bricked TAB's in any condition.
I hard believe that they can recognize that you rooted your phone or whatever since they said to you that your motherboard is gone.........so, unfortunately it is also happened to me today, it's not the first one that i flash my tab but today i've hard bricked it, sent back to Vodafone, told me to wait 1 month (#[][]###[##!!)
Dammit, never brick a phone, well used to HTC never bought a Samsung and in all honesty i was thinking to change my beloved HD2 for a Galaxy S 2 but i've found very risky to flash those Samsung phones so changed idea and waiting for new HTC devices with bootloader not locked.
Will let you know for news from Vodafone but if they will say me that brick was because i've rooted it then i want proves of that, if they can see that then they can resurrect the phone without change motherboard...am i right?
Well, i love Overcome Rom. Its getting better and better. Yap. Like Pitbull, im also the battery-wh*re.. i dont care so much about its performance. Im not doing heavy stuff/work on it. i got my nexus one btw to trying or playing overclocking etc... im just using my tab to surfing, file transfering/dropbox, movies, and even games sometime which i think it's 1ghz power is still doing its job.
What is my really problem is they (samsung center) say my warranty is void because of 3rd party software that i install on it. i think its just their excuse. the overcome rom that i use is already a month old. nothing wrong with the 3rd party software that i've install.
Declan79, its possible to detect if we root it or not. in my case, they just change the motherboard and they will turn it on just like normal. for example, my pc dead because of the motherboard. i change it to the same model and walla.. its fixed! its the same concept..
the cost to change the motherboard is cost me around USD263.27 which is more expensive + no warranty. so what? everything is expensive in my country.
you're so lucky Declan. even you void the warranty by rooting it, u still got it repaired for free..

Samsung Note Warranty from a different country

Hi, I'm in the US currently with a Samsung Note GT-N7000 that I purchased from Amazon (the phone imei showed that it is from the UK). After about 8 months of use without using custom roms, it seems to have hardbricked through normal usage (At the time of bricking I believe I was deleting some photos in a program called QuickPix when it froze and eventually had to be manually turned off. Then it would struggle booting on the Samsung logo and after a retry, it just would not boot anymore). It is completely unresponsive when you press any of the buttons and won't get recognized when hooked up to the computer. I even tried using new batteries but that did not work. I don't think the Jig will work in my case either.
I called Samsung US and they told me that the phone would have to be covered in the country where the phone was originally manufactured for which is the UK in my case. I was wondering if anyone else have been in my situation where you are in a different country with a phone that needed repairs. Samsung UK requires that you have an address in the UK so it makes it difficult for me to file a claim. Has anyone been able to get Samsung US to take your non-US claim or have found a way to file a claim without a UK address?
Thank you so much.

Excuse me, but doesn't Amazon have the obligation to be the liaison between Samsung and you? I mean, they are no different than if you had bought it from BestBuy. You should be able to contact Amazon, and tell them that your phone broke and you'd like to have it repaired under warranty. I live here in Spain, and I bought something from Amazon Spain but it was imported from the UK. I sent it back and Amazon paid for it to be sent back and everything.
I'd try contacting Amazon, and tell them the same situation. Tell them that you got the phone through them and then it broke, and you went directly to Samsung and they said that they won't honor the warranty as it was imported from Europe. Amazon has an obligation to offer the warranty. Not to mention, Amazon is probably one of the best companies I've ever worked with. Fast responses, fast shipments and awesome service in general.
Give them a try.
Hope I've helped.

I'd need a lot more details, but:
What exact firmware was it on? What build?
As much as I would like for this to be an example of an eMMC brick on stock, the fact that it occurred when deleting files means that unless Samsung has enabled the "discard" mount option for storage in a new build I am unaware of, it's something else like a bad solder joint.

I had the phone up to date through the samsung / settings / update so whatever the last ICS update was unless there has been a new update within the past 5 days. The last major update, I remember it installed some German apps, latest version of Kies, and made the Note a lot smoother. As I mentioned before, the phone did try to reboot to the samsung logo after it froze but it never was able to boot all the way. I should have stopped at that point but I tried to reboot a couple times and that is when it became unresponsive.

[Q] Availability of Replacement Motherboard for Hard-bricked N7000?

I've a hard-bricked GNote. Plz don't ask why and how I managed to screw it. I cannot regret enough myself. Never intended to and usually I take good care by reading before doing something potentially risky. It's just that the temporary cwm.zip was on that note for long, and it was downloaded and used for rooting before it was discovered and marked as dangerous and I did not visit XDA meanwhile.
Anyway, it has been more than a month now. The device is super-hard bricked. Nothing can revive it. It's totally dead; no display, download or recovery modes. Has been tried for JTAG and met with failure (eMMC seems to be damaged altogether). So the only thing left to do is to replace the motherboard. The seller from whom it was bought claimed that it had international warranty at the time it was sold. However, after this disaster, I discovered this particular unit has no warranty by Samsung (was strange for me). I have contacted Samsung UAE, Samsung South Africa, and Samsung USA and all of them refused to extend any help. The local Samsung service center would charge me $400 (yes that's correct - US$400 equivalent in my currency) for replacing the motherboard.
I might use some help here by getting information on whether the motherboard can be obtained from some other place, and how much would it cost. I have access to UAE or Singapore (friends visit these places). If someone can help me with this information on how much it would cost me to get a replacement MB from these markets or may be from the Samsung service centers there, it would really be helpful. Any help in this matter is much appreciated.
Hard bricked note
I have the same problem. if anyone can let me know whether ( & where ) i can get a replacement motherboard from any of the following countries in my region - Singapore , Malaysia, India or Srilanka, i have fiends in these places but they don't know where to look so if anyone can point me in the right direction. if i can get replacement i have technician who can get it done.
FYI - I live in Maldives ... which is a small Indian ocean island nation. Few Hi tech service centers avilable but no spares.
If you think the cost of mobo is high or you can't get one,you could try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26285877 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26428986
Please note that the above methods are not permanent fix for superbricked phones....it just makes it usable again....And it also lessen your SD card space drastically....

I think sourcing the actual mobo's will be very difficult except on ebay, but they're likely to be damaged ones anyway, you might be lucky.
As above poster mentions, you can try a repartition as a workaround until there's a concrete fix.

@vijai2011 and @SpyderTracks, thanks for your suggestion guys, but probably you are confusing it with a super-bricked GN. There is no way I can repartition the eMMC as there is no bootloader. Without it, I cannot go into download mode or have PC connectivity of any kind, whatsoever. MB replacement is my only option.

What I'm suggesting is the only way to replace emmc is by replacing the motherboard, and samsung is the only place that will do it, or any insurance place who'll probably send it to Samsung. Sourcing motherboards is notoriously difficult outside of a service center. It's the whole board that needs replacing not just the chip as it's embedded.

I guess the best thing for you is to acquire the eMMC chip and just take the defective chip out and replace it with another one (not entirely the entire motherboard). I'm not sure though how you can accomplish this feat but someone (courtesy of 'dekelm8' from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1698977&page=59) was able to secure a replacement chip from this website - http://www.suppliesnow.nl/english-product-1108-000424.htm and http://www.aswo-elektronik.hr/eng/index.html (you need to register to that website actually).
So far he indicated that he got the replacement chip (* I think). Now to the nature if he was ever able to replace the eMMC chip with his replacement one, that remains a mystery to me still.
Hope that helps something on your dilemma and Good Luck if your able to fix back your Note.

Repair center in the US

I have a GT-N7000 bought from England and it experiences periodic lock ups. I had the brick bug and used the PIT method to fix it. It does work but it does experience random periodic lockups. Just enough to be annoying. Since I really love this phone I expect to keep it a while and I have decided to get it repaired, even if I have to pay for it. But I don't want to send it to England if I can avoid it.
So three questions. 1, can I send it to the Samsung US repair facility? It is not listed on their web site as a supported model. 2. Anyone know what a motherboard replacement costs (yes, I know expensive, but a dollar amount?) 3. Has you have used that facility then how fast was the turn around? Thanks.

Check out mobiletechvideos.com They can jtag it for you cheaper than samsung.
Ok
I have heard of them, Only problem is that I am in Australia. I think there service is located in America.
Not many people offer jtag repair services here I dont think unless you take it to samsung.
Another problem is its on contract with A carrier.
Alirght Found A tech that might help paying $50 to reinstall the internal firmware see how it goes to tommrow will reply here then.
I donr know what anyone is on about but I took my device into the technicians and they could not retrieve the tablet no matter what. Even with jtag. This just goes to show JTag does NOT save all devices that get bricked during firmware installations.
Anyway I have bought A new tablet Samsung Galaxy 7.0 This time I am never rooting again.
I got a smaller screen since I now I have A computer and it would still do the same job.
Thanks anyway
