FroyoBread v023b Stuck - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I've Installed the upper mentioned ROM from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1079463 using the same instructions (i already had installed xRecovery). But when my phone boots, the startup application starts, in which i need to setup a google account, but i keep geting messages that all other background apps that i had are shutting down and i need to click on Force Close.
I'm using XPERIA X8, the latest official update of android 2.1 (It's sth like 2.1.1.C.0.0) baseband is xxx015.
The worst thing is that even launcher doesn't work.. I have 2 launchers installed. GoLauncher and the one that comes with ROM.
And when i try to use the one with ROM i get error
Code:
The application Launcher (process com.android.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly
The same thing happens with GoLauncher.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

use flastool to recover your device and try once again,if it dosent work again then u didnt full wipe.
try using other roms

Try full wipe on recoveRy,clear cashe and dalviu

Tried, both times, and tried with full wipe, wipe dalvik and all other cache.. Still doesn't work. I will now try the FROYExp from TeamMex and will see if that works..
Just out of curiosity, if i have app2sd installed, would that cause any problems?

Just to update.. Worked great! after removing app2sd

Kick back to your nand, delete the rom and gapps, redownload them and reflash. It's possible that you just got a bad dl of one or the other. Make sure you wipe data and dalvik. I had this issue once, banged my head on the wall and just decided to get rid of it all and try again.
Yes same for me the whole time it was a bad download good luck

this happened to me - I can get into the phone but nothing works - just blank screen with that error coming up frist - tried erasing everything, wipe dalvik cache, user cache, factory reset, etc. - then tried reflashing rom via CWM - still nothing works - my home and back buttons are also gone

Do you have any nandriod backups? If so, run the backup and see what happens.

[Q] Phone stuck at TOUCH TO BEGIN (first step)

Hi,
My phone is stuck at the first step after flashing i.e. (TOUCH TO BEGIN). When i touch the android, it gives error telling "The Application Google Services Framework has stopped unexpectedly" and it keeps giving errors about Calendar force close, phone force close etc.
I tried flashing a stock ROM but found the same problem again.
Could some1 please help me on this?
Go into recovery mode.
Device off then vol-up+home+power. Now you get a recovery menu.
There you can find wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache. Do that and then reboot normally.
If its a gb rom i would suggest wipe data if the option above dont work, it happens to me always...use i broid before flash any rom after this..

Sudden wake up seems like a broken app issue. If you reflashed ROM and the issue persist, that problably means you didn't make "clean install" i.e. didn't wipe all system partition, factory reset, wipe cache/dalvik.
If you indeed made clean install but still have the problem, try fixing permissions at recovery. Also try installing app that tells you which app keeps waking device (GSam Battery Monitor or Better Battery Stats), and uninstall that app. I had similar issue, caused by CPU Control app - which crashed during one reboot. It was waking devide while trying to adjust governor/clocks.
If that don't help try to reflash ROM again (ensuring you make clean install) but don't install any apps. Try most minimalistic ROM you can find - without any stock apps.

Phone gone crazy. Nothing works CM9+HydraCore

Ok so since today morning apart from calls (through the stock dialer) nothing works on my phone. I didn't change any settings or flash anything. Only thing that happened at night was a Scheduled Titanium App Data Backup, and I used the phone for over an hour after that with no problems.
All third party apps crash open opening. Smart Keyboard crashes every 10 seconds because I guess the service is trying to start the process. Gmail doesn't open. Go SMS, rocket dial, even the widgets don't load.
I tried rebooting a few times. Didn't work!
Tried Wiping Cache and Dalvik. DIDN'T WORK!
Is there any other solution before I do a complete wipe and re-install the rom?
P.S. on CM 9.0 (Stable) with HydraCore v1
did you wipe/factory reset after flashing cm9 ?
Its a must otherwise u will get fc's everywhere

Umm I was using this combination ever since HydraCore came out. this problem happened overnight. No kernel or ROM update.
Anyhow I just wiped and re-installed everything as I couldn't wait. I need to use this as a phone not a toy

[SOLVED] reset settings on reboot

I've tried searching around threads for similar problems but I couldn't find something quite exact like mine.
Well I'm running a Jellybeer rom now and before that I was running CM9 and then AOSP beerbong rom.. This problem I noticed when I was switching from the AOSP rom to the AOKP rom by the same developer. I followed all The instructions, did factory wipes etc. And then once on the jellybeer rom I just did the cache wipes as required for rom updates. I am also using titanium backup pro to back up and restore the "user apps with data". The problem is :
Every time I reboot my phone:
1)launcher is set to stock.
2) when I activate the nova launcher the widgets have to be restored.
3) lock screen widgets are gone.
4) SwiftKey 3 dictionary has to be updated or it doesn't recognise the old one.
5) randomly during the startup i get this random vertical black bar towards the right or left of the screen for a second or two and it seems to be like a glitch. I've got the soft keys / navigation bar enabled. Before when then rom had transparent soft keys, they would become opaque after this glitch appeared.
6) accessibility options like notifier pro and dash clock are also reset to "off " after reboot but once I enable one of them all of them come Back on as well.
I have tried clearing logs and caches with "sd maid" and I thought It was a bug in the rom, but after many updates, this is still there. No one seems to be having the same problem as me in the rom development thread.
There was this one time when my phone crashed and showed the roms booting screen and once the system was loading, it looked like how the phone is supposed to boot up with all my widgets, launcher, dictionary etc.
This is quite frustrating as every reboot I have to reconfigure my phone partially.

Thanks, for now it seems to be normal. Only I see that black bar on boot. That could be something to do with the rom, I will be moving this to the solved section for now.
If anyone is interested, I backed up my user apps using guide which is linked above and then I proceeded with the factory wipe and then I restored my apps and made sure the main apps that were restarting were kept on the internal memory.
Thanks once again for helping me solve my issues. It's what a relief to reboot without having the headache of setting everything again. Even SwiftKey is working fine. Even though I'm using the older version of it.
