Hi, I have a i9001, I have CWM Recovery 5.5.0.4 for Cyanogen Mod 9
I was taking a backup onto my External SD Card (8GB MicroSDHC), it has 7GB free and I get
"Error while making a backup image of /system"
Any help appreciated

Rocket rom unable to backup system

in CWM recovery v5.0.2.7, get 'Error while backing up boot image!' when trying to back up system to internal and external SD.
Can anyone help, please!

Nandroid: "Error while making backup image of /system"

Just installed the leak of stock ICS .232, rooted, and installed the ICS version of Bootstrapper. When I boot to CWM (either through Bootstrapper or CWM) I get an error saying: "Error while making backup image of /system".
It's a fresh install of .232 so I have over 6GB of space free. Same error when I try to do it to the external SD card.
Any ideas about what's going on here? Not have nandroid backups makes me nervous.

[Q] Help: Cant mount my external SD card under ClockworkMod Recovery

Please need help with this
have searched for this topic but cant find this problem under gt-n7000 only other phones.
Jelly bean stock rom
cwm base version: 6.0.3.2
Rooting is ok. used dr ketan. got root, safe kernel(philz) and cwm (cwm base version: 6.0.3.2)
Want to make back up of my stock rom which is strongly recommended (read an articel: http://www.droidviews.com/things-to-do-before-and-after-installing-a-rom-troubleshooter/)
Want to make a back up of my stock rom to my external sd with rom manager. So if I get into bootloop or something I can access my stock-rom on my ext. sd
ClockworkMod Recovery will not mount my SD card (Sandisk 32 gb ultra class 10) and posts "Error mounting /external_sd!"
Get access when I go into myfiles app. Have moved all contants to pc. and formatted with my pc( here I dont get to choose any file system - only formatting. dont know if its ntsf or fat32 or anything else. After doing this I get the same result/error in cwm
when formatting locally on the phone also same result.
Hope anybody know how to fix this
Thanks in advance

[Q] CWM, error restoring /data

Hi all !
I had OmniRom installed, and after trying to go back to my stock ROM via a CWM backup I had, I cannot restore backups from my external SD card anymore.
Whenever I try to restore a backup (either a newly made one or an old one), I have "error while restoring /data". The WM lock says "can't partition non mmcblk devide /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.3/mmc_host/mmc1".
Backing up to the internal card and then restoring works.
I tried to move a backup from the external card to the internal card and then restoring, but it did not work (same error).
Any idea where this might come from ?
How can I solve this ?
Thanks !

Answering my own question : after reflashing boot.img from FXP250, restoring my backup worked ! I thought it was the one I had restored in the first place, but obviously I was wrong !
