Have you ever flashed a different radio?
As far as I remember this seems to be a very early issue of IncS which should have been fixed officially long ago. Yes, you might like to try newer radio to see if it helps.

Good stuff.
latest radio available on this forum can be found in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1523298
That said, latest doesn't necessarily mean the best, it depends on numerous other factors.
Going to give the 14_M radio a try and see if the differences btw this one and the 29_M radio.

Been running for a few hours and no significant difference between this radio and 29_M. Being Sunday, things are relatively quiet so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get a better handle on performance.

I did notice a significant difference in reliability and signal strength for both wifi and mobile signal when I first went to 29_M. Don't recall what radio I came from though.
UPDATE: No real difference for me 14_M and 29_M so I went back to 29_M.

The symptoms you are describing sounds like you may have originally had a Froyo stock ROM on your IncS and have rooted and installed a custom Gingerbread or JellyBean ROM without updating from a Froyo V1 radio to a GB V2 radio.
You could try flashing one of the more recent IncS radios to see if that fixes your issue.

So i just flashed ViperROM for my Sprint HTC One and it seemed to install fine but when it boots up the touchscreen doesnt work so i cant even unlock my phone. Touchscreen works in TWRP so it must be a problem with the rom. Bad download maybe? Restoring a backup until i can find an answer.
I don't think it works with the new firmware that was released recently ..viperRom is from the 1.29 release

Ur phone must of been updated to the newest update so the touchscreen drivers was updated. HTC likes to remove backwards compatibility with their touchscreen drivers so u need to be running a Rom on base 1.31

Hey guys i just rooted my HTC Vivid and when i go to install a custom rom which was the CM10 Nightly rom it would get stuck on the cynagen boot logo. Also im using TWRP 2.6 just to let you know. I rooted with superuser 1.25. Thanks please if you can give me a step by step tutorial i would really appreciate it! If you can give me a custom rom link as well! Thanks!
Did you do a full wipe? Data, cache, dalvik all need to be wiped. Did you unzip the ROM and make a copy of the boot.img file and flash it in fastboot? Are you s-off or s-on?

HTC Vivid Virtuous Inquisition Wifi Problem
Yes I did but I didnt make a backup of the boot.img and didnt flash it through flashboot because I dont know how to. Also im S-On. Just to let you know yesterday I did flash virtuous inquisition rom and I flashed it with twrp and it worked! But the only problem was the wifi didnt work so i had to revert back to my stock rom.
Here is the link to the custom rom I really want to flash >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2677301

Before posting an 'I have a problem' thread... You should read...
The boot.img and the WiFi drivers are linked... If you don't flash the kernel... Your WiFi will never work...
It says so on EVERY OP for EVERY ROM...
Please stop only reading the first 2 sentences of the OP and read the whole thing... I am truly getting sick of people asking the same damn questions for over 2 years...

Well I'm sorry sir I'm new to android rooting and flashing and I dont know how to manually flash roms and kernels via Flashboot. So if you could give the instructions I would gladly appreciate it.

There is a 'superguide' provided by slapshot in the dev threads I think... He goes into GREAT detail... About how to deal with all of this...
It would be better to read that instead of the Reader Digest version I would spit out here...

Alright rignfool. If you can still help me I would gladly appreciate it. I recently flashed the kitkat 4.4 rom and whenever I'm for example listening to music on this app called rocketplayer and I go to the homescreen it switches the music input from the headphones to the internal phone speaker. I also tried out a different app but it was the same problem. Furthermore, whenever I used the built in app which is apollo it says dsp manager has stopped working and then says you can blame the split screen. Ofcourse, the split screen isnt designed for the Htc Vivid that I have but how do i stop the problem that im having?
