[Q]Reverting OB back to Stock Firmwire - LG Optimus Black

Hello there, I have some issues with the speaker in my OB, so I need to send it to LG for repairs. My Question is how can I completely revert my OB to Stock (Unroot, Stock Firmwire and removal CWM)
Regards
EDIT: I checked in the The Big N00B how-to! Thread and this referred me to the R&D Test Tool, but they sugest the SMARTFLASHTOOL because those issues with B2C.
So my question is rather, what is the best way to unroot my device so LG has no clue that it has been rooted at the moment?

[Q] How to flash back to stock rom and unroot my P970?

Dear All brother
I just want to flash back to stock rom and unroot my P970 like initial status. Is there any tools or method to do so?
It's very simple, just follow the Tutorial: LG P970 (P970H) unbrick/flash using SmartFlash Tool and install whatever version of firmware you had initially, you can find V10 firmwares on the Firmwares LG P970, P970H thread.
If you want to get to the official V20 firmware, just upgrade your phone using the LG program (the one that came on the CD with your phone).
This way you'll have an "official ROM" on your phone and it won't be rooted either (it's just like it came "from factory").
Btw, you'll loose the root and the recovery functionality, but i think that's what you wanted in the first place
EDIT : replaced Samsung with LG, i was reading up on modifying my Samsung Spica and somehow mixed up the postings

There is now tools to automatically convert the kdz to bin and fls and inject CWM. Search for P970 ROM converter and get the kdz file from lg-phone-firmware.com

Read my noob how to (post 3 especially), if you need any more info on that.
Thanks, although the patched bin download link in getzilla is not working anymore, anyway you can reupload that in mediafire or zippyshare maybe. Thanks.
Patch it yourself, download the kdz and then follow my how to, it's being done in less then 10 minutes...
Thanks man. I was able to root my OB now. I downgraded to Froyo first using Smarttool then rooted with Blackjack. damn gingerbread is hard to root, what more when ics comes. i hope not.

For everyone

I'm seeing post everyday like.....How to upgrade to ics from CMx or from GB....or post like how to root ICS......or phone bricked.....how can be tha hard? USE THIS http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020737 P990 Toolkit! In here you have a lot of options and instructions during install or flash or etc....Here you can flash ICS via smartflash (it is the easiest way) or Root ICS or GB or extract KDZ you can do anything here! You can't brick your phone! Install APX drivers and latest usb drivers and everything will work!:good:

Well you have to download the KDZ from the ROM LINKER thread or from anywhere you want and with P990 Toolkit extract the bin and fls files and flash them via smartflash. But I don;t know how to back up your data. Really sorry for that

Stock ROM through CWM

Hi everyone. I have a LG Optimus Black and I need to take it to service. Because I root-ed and installed custom rom I need to go back to stock version. I have a little problem because my computer doesn't recognize the phone anymore so I can't use smartflash. Does anyone of you know another way to return to stock version? Can I flash stock trough CWM? I need v10b. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Have a nice evening and thank you for your answers!
try to change usb port, not usb 3.0 but on usb 2.0 in SW mode for able to use SFT
I already tried that. I even tried a different computer. Does no one have a stock version that I could flash trough CWM? Even if it is ICS ore something like that. Thanks a lot anyway!
with lg Tools maybe, LGMobile Update (B2C), support, recovery phone.

you do realize that flashing even a stock rom through cwm will still not make the phone "stock". you'd still have cwm installed and need to get rid of that. try flashing a kdz instead...

His post stated he has a problem with his USB. Flashing kdz or files in SmartFlash is not an option.
The link posted above is not a regular "stock" ROM. It's a project that contains stock "recovery.img" inside the zip. Like what was discussed here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224465
It is the same adding the unlocked bootloader together with the recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160394 on a flashable zip or any .img on a certain partition.
Code:
package_extract_file("x-loader.img", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p1");
package_extract_file("u-boot.img", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p2");
package_extract_file("boot.img", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p3");
package_extract_file("recovery.img", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p4");

Revert back to Stock

How can I revert my LG 2X back to stock? Currently running CM10 with the new bootloader. I have found multiple threads about this but I'm afraid to brick my phone because there all outdated.
Can someone provide me with a step-by-step guide thats more up-to-date?
Thanks very much.
Well you won't get that kind of guide, cuz only small part of users still using p990 (my guess) got back to stock, so all the guides are a bit outdated but shouldn't brick your device. Saying it short, use the old guides

Easy method:
Use smartflash to install an old baseband like 20S. Then use LG update tool to flash the latest stock for your region. Alternate, use AIO tool to flash both baseband and stock. You will need to download .kdz file and extract it to fls and bin file in AIO tool prior to flashing. Fls are baseband and bin are the rom
