Hello guys,
I just wanted to ask why there are no settings for voodoo sound (in-app) only volume.
I saw on other devices that you can adjust bass boost and more, am i doing something wrong? Or are these features only available in the premium version of the voodoo sound app?
Thanks in advance
Nope, functions on voodoo sounds are device specific, based on software/hardware limitationd. If its not in the free version, it will not be also in the premium version.
You can try volume+.. it works wonders too, can also increase speaker volume. But its a paid app.
but supercurio (voodo dev) is working on a new voodoo sound driver version which will enable even o2x to have full options of the voodoo sound greatness ! cant friggin wait
I also hope he'll do his magic. Haven't seen him on his topic for some time now...

Hi there,
have somebody tried the DSP SoundManager? I extracted this one from the CyanogenMod ROM and get a little bit better sound...
May you want to try it! Maybe there is a forward developed version of this, so please post it!
Regards, Andi
I can't notice any difference. I had the speaker on hi then installed it pumped up the settings and it made no difference.

Same here ..
I'm new here and with no experience, but maybe we need rooted device to work?! It would be nice to hear navigation while driving..
I have a rooted device. But I don't hear any difference.
Moved to Themes and Apps

no way
Downloaded and installed no difference at all.
What I have to understand is why POWERAMP with its settings (equalizer set to loud speaker value) has a far better volume than the stock music player.
If we can get its way to do that an app like the one in this thread may work.
May be poweramp just modifies in realtime the mp3 values I don't know really we need to investigate.
Youtube for example has a very poor volume altough the copilot using SVOX TTS voices (with SVOX volume at 200) is good enough.
I think is just the kernel I don't understand why the quality is so bad with some features and so good with others....
hmm i just watched a video from htc. and the introduce a feature that the device recognize where it is, for example in your pocket or backpack and if you get a call it will raise the speaker volume...
but i dont know if its just to the maximum which probalby everybody has set or if you can go over this limit...
Here is working version of DSP manager.
its a start, but i think this workaround creates some other problems... for my self, i just increased the volume of my ringtone and it worked as well.
hopefully this dspmanager workaround gets updatet or even htc will take care of it...
I am very interested is locating a SRS wow for Android or another Sound Enhancer for my Captivate. I had a Tilt 2 which is windows and SRS made all the difference, a lot of sound in a small package. I would like to boost up the sound in earphones and in the phones speaker. Can anyone at all help me with this. I want a blazing sound effects phone. Android rules over windows. But I need loud sounds coming from the speakers. Anyone? Thanks so much for any feed back. Later Gale
Theres app called audioboost on the market, it lets you tweak headphones, onboard speaker, and mic levels. Other than that theres the voodoo sound fix but it only effects the headphone volume.
Firefly 1.0 / Speedmod K12n / Kp1

If your running the proper kernel supercurio has just made a free app that does an outstanding job. Just type voodoo into the search bar and you will see voodoo sound. It only works with headphones.

As with many other users, my Tab suffers from very low volume & mediocre audio from its internal speaker specially when watching certain movies. Ive been looking for an app to control audio volume and EQ that works on the Galaxy and found an app called DSP Manager (current version 2.2).
It features a beautiful interface that is great on the Tab's 7" screen, installs without a problem but doesnt seem to have any effect when applying EQs or settings... the sound is always the same.
I was wondering if I could request to make this app fully functional on the Tab

Would be great that supercurio owns a Tab and develop the sound part as in the galaxy S.

I don't use this kernel (as I build my own), but I can vouch for Voodoo Sound
hi, i just wanna ask fellow o2x users , currently what features are available for voodoo control, some users reported they can only change headphone amp, what about other features as seen on galaxy s voodoo control? stuffs like 128x oversampling, radio volume tweaks? thx for your answers as i'm deciding whether to get an o2x
Just Headphone amp....for now... iirc supercurio is working on an update
Hello,
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 with a stock rom with Hebrew menus (didn't come with the phone, I flashed it but it's basically stock with Hebrew menus). I'm trying to use a custom mp3 notification sound. I used Ringdroid to cut the song and make it available on the notifications menu, and it sounds fine on Ringdroid and when playing the sound file itself, but when I actually set it as the notification sound, the sound is very low. I searched around and seen some people complaining about it but no actual answer, so I was hoping someone here can help.
Thanks, Ohad.
Yeah I used to have the same problem.. nothing can be done for that. You have to root your device and flash a patch for dsp manager if it doesnot work you have option but to flash a rom like cyanogenmod 7 it has a fantastic sound quality..

Thank you for the answer. I've flashed the DSP manager app now, it seems a little better. Are there any suggested preferences to use with it?
Thanks, Ohad.
Well that purely depends on you you can set to your own taste well for the phone speakers you can enable bass boost and set the equalizer to acoustic and for your earphone settings just use acoustic only and enable virtual room and set it to studio. These are the settings I use rest depends on you and your needs.. and FYI these screenshots are just for earphones..
