Why you people don't read changelog, do some research before flashing a rom? I mean, before I flashed my phone, I spent 2 days reading and researching so I won't brick my phone... it's not that hard to google something right? Apparently I'm wrong, because amount of useless questions is too damn high!

i think everytime we want to try new rom(s), it mean that everything we've did to our android is our risk. "do with your own risk", right?
and when we found some error on new rom, just report the error to devs and restore our previous backed up the stable rom.

Problem with camera is stated, so if you have brain, after reading a changelog you should know that it's being worked on unless you have piece of crap instead...

yes forum is for questions but this is xda-developers not androidforum
in real this forum was created for developers so that they can help each other not for solving others problem
these forums were created so that Dev can get feedback about their work

What does it mean repair auto brightness? It now works or it compensates for a dying screen. I guess the translation is a bit iffy

I guess it is the translation related fix. Now the translation between different light levels is too obvious. It's quite annoying as I think.

It's the development section where development related threads are made, not the section where you ask your questions to the developers.
That being said, I don't know if it will work or not.

No you can't use the kernel from the Galaxy Young, it was specifically made for it's hardware, which is not the same on the Galaxy Ace.

Guys stop being so harsh on the new guy. He did post in the wrong section but I am sure he won't do it again. Now after you have told him he is in the wrong section, also answer his question, to fore come him from making a duel post.

As a matter of fact, the Galaxy Young and the Ace i have the same hardware, with the only modification I'm aware of being the body (the phone's outside looks) and the resolution (120 -> 160).

I already tried.The result was that the phone boot and the poweron sound is played but the screen only shows Galaxy Ace S5830i.

the purpose of this thread is to prevent spam in our most beloved development forum. I will try to adress the issue objectively and discuss why this is a drastic problem, how it came about and what we should do now.
This section had never been raped and abused so much in the last 3 weeks, since the opening of this section for our device.
You see, i'm not a liar:

everyone knows that we got a q&a section for the i9000 and in there a i9001 thread. I know our i9001 q&a is lousy, but we can still post in i9000 because our friends don't mind it. You will surely get an answer in a few hours when you post there

1.)read before posting!
2.)search before posting! hint: There is a search box in the upper right corner. Use http://google.com , etc.
3.)don't post in development however you got your solution or not. You got the q&a for questions and answers so please use it.
If you want to have fast answers, you can also post in this thread, it's made for it and located in development, what do you want to have more?!?

this question is very subjective. personally, i didn't test them more than a few days, but I know slimBean from other devices, it's highly customizeable, slim (battery saving) and smooth. would recommend it.

I've tried all the roms. The best and more stable for me is SmoothieJB, especially in games.

not realy. for example galaxy ace is running 4.2 on 2.6.35.7 and all the experia phones are running on 2.6.38.x or lower

It's true (about customizeable), but after a few days I had lags in games and it wasn't so smooth anymore.

I want to help testing but i have no idea how to make a proper logcat orso

Somebody already asked in the rom thread. You should search before opening a new thread.
If you have a working custom recovery, then yes you can just flash the rom.

Also, questions or anything not related to development technically should not be posted in development threads. Nobody follows the rule, but it's still true, so this is the correct place to ask.
