It's the development section where development related threads are made, not the section where you ask your questions to the developers.
That being said, I don't know if it will work or not.

@ OP
No you can't use the kernel from the Galaxy Young, it was specifically made for it's hardware, which is not the same on the Galaxy Ace.
@ All the others
Guys stop being so harsh on the new guy. He did post in the wrong section but I am sure he won't do it again. Now after you have told him he is in the wrong section, also answer his question, to fore come him from making a duel post.

As a matter of fact, the Galaxy Young and the Ace i have the same hardware, with the only modification I'm aware of being the body (the phone's outside looks) and the resolution (120 -> 160).
I already tried. The result was that the phone boot and the poweron sound is played but the screen only shows Galaxy Ace S5830i.

Why can't I reply a thread in Galaxy Ace S5830 Android Development? The forum message said New members (those with fewer than 10 posts) are not permitted to post to development-related forums when I try to quote something.
But there are many users with 13~16 posts(junior member) can reply there. I think I'm the same as them so why can't I do that
Sorry for my bad English.

Can somebody tell what is the difference between ICS and GB.
Secondly how can one install ICS if he is on GB.
Thirdly games such as modern combat, NFS HP, etc HD games and other GB Apps will work fine on ICS.
Lastly benefits of updating to ICS or disadvantages of Updating to ICS.

many differences but you have posted in the dev section, this needs to be put in the Q&A section

You posted a non-development question in the Development section - you got what was coming to you.
I mean, seriously, what part of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318423 (one of the sticky threads at the TOP OF THIS FORUM) didn't you understand?

To the OP - you have much to study here. Go through the stickies at the top of Development, General and Q&A. Study up and understand things before you proceed.
For the rest of you - think before you post. Is it kind? Is it helpful? Will my response add to the knowledge of the forum? If not, don't post.
And remember, the report button is your friend. Thank you to those who hit it.

Wrong section buddy, as this thread isn't related to Galaxy Mini Android Development.
This type of questions should fall in Galaxy Mini General forum.

Maybe it takes some time for the Threads to show up in the app.
Anyways just check the Galaxy Ace forum, and see whether you see Q&A and Original Development section. If yes, then we are likely to see those after a couple of hours.
This supposed to be in Q&A section.....
(for those who didn't understand...i'm just kidding!!!)

I don't know how but i just stumbled upon this rom. Why isn't there an official development thread for it? I tested it and it's light and fast and let's not forget about the awesome user interface ics provides.
I don't know if i'm allowed to post this....i just wanted to share with you guys. It's worth it.
All credit should go to erikcas for doing such a great job.
Because it's pretty much final, there is no point of a development thread, because no bugs means nothing to talk about. But you can post it, it's already public.
