Setcpu values - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HEllo
Im a newbie user of galaxy tab p1000 and currently im using build 34 of
[ROM][ICS 4.0.4] AOKP for P1000/L/N - MILESTONE #5 **MTD** (30/04/2012).
I want to make somthing like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1205854 for galaxy tab.
By default the rom uses max 1000 and min 20.
The idea is to share the setcpu settings of your tabs.
I want to overclock but dont wanna loose stability or force the cpu and break it. I noticed that in some hd games it works a little, little slow....so ive been thinking about making setcpu profiles but need advice.
I thought of reduce cpu on screen off (ej; max 7000 min 150), and make if i can a Game profile with more exhaustive use of cpu ( ej; 1200 max 250 min)
Waiting for your stups and recommandations.
Thanks in advance
Eduardo.

No one posts its values and settings to share ?
Please share your settings and profiles.

pls can anyone give me the ideal cpu settings for my sgs fone with gingerbread 2.3.3 thanks
No idea if tese settings are ideal, everyone will have their own idea of what they want. I use setcpu to OC & OV.
My profiles are :-
temp > 50 400 max 100 min
battery < 15 400 max 100 min
screen off 400 max 100 min
Other config is set by the kernel, ie:-
govenor type (I use ondemand), up_threshold, sampling time etc
Thanks. Ill follow yours.

SetCPU settings for double battery life

Hey guys can someone share what's the best profile and configuration to double the battery life in our devices using setCPU..
Thanks in Advance!

Hi there,
I think, it depends on how is your settings now. You can try 500 mhz and disable mobile data first.
hmm.. okay.. will 500Mhz double the life and also give a decent performance??
i'm more concern on the voltage control.
can everyone share their fine profile for voltage?
btw, my setcpu setting were recommended by CacingKalung.
25mhz and 1125mhz with smartassv2.

The following works for me all the time
Main Profile - MAX - Dont set it all the way to OC if you are using any of the modded kernels, keep it just above 1Ghz, i set at 1200.
MIN - around 600. Use SmartassV2, if unavailable use Performance.
Turn on Profiles and set 2 important profile
Screen Off - MAX & MIN - 122Mhz. Priority 90%, Set governer Conservative
In Call - MAX - Around <=500, MIN = Around 300, Priority - 100, Set governer Performance. This is to avoid any lags when call comes in
With this I am able to stretch the battery easily to 1.5 days. I have observed the performance to be uniform whether on CM7 or MIUI.
Additionally I also configure Adv Task Killer Pro - Always on, Kill Task when screen off, and dont forget to set Ignore for - SetCPU.
This combo of SetCPU and Task Killer works for me ! Try and see if it meets your expectations
How are you able to set exact values of 122 MHz or 300/500 MHz?
On stock ROM, SetCPU only allows for a slider to control the frequency which doesn't allow for precision setting since after about 368 MHz the slider only goes to around 700+ MHz skipping all the frequencies possible in between.

Im using SET CPU and the ondemand governer gives very good battery life. I keep the min speed to 122 MHZ and Max to 1024 MHZ.
Made three profiles for screen off, temp >40deg and In call. Screen off profile kept to 122MHZ, certainly improved my battery by leaps and bounds.

[Q] Optimal settings for MINI CM9

How well set the settings to the optimal CM9 MINI ROM? I know it was already somewhere, but I can not znaleś.Bardzo mainly I mean if ZRam to be enabled or disabled? And how to set the processor.
Advance thank you very much
If I could give it some help thanks
Smartass v2 cpu governor - cpu frequency 122 - 729.
Z-ram when ur not using supercharger then 18% if u do then disable it..

I Use Smartass v2 cpu governor - cpu frequency 122 - 600 works well.
The problem is that the battery is short-lived
Relative Zram I don't have opinion.

[Q] Bettery saver-Setcpu

Hi i recently download setCPU and created profiles......for samsung galaxy aceS5830
1. Screen on: Max 800MHz and 122 Min, Governer-ondemand
2. Screen off: Max 245 Min122, Governer-Powersaver
enabled the above profiles....but still i am facing problems like menu slow loading and any application is taking time to respond...
Kindly help me how can i improve the processor speed and battery save...
Thanks in advance
Unless youre using a OC Kernel you wont probably be able to get much better performance with SetCPU. Try light weight ROMs or RAM scripts like V6 Supercharger.

what is OC kernel......how i can do that pls help me.....
OC = Overclock.
I wouldn't recommend using profiles for a newbie!
Try the following settings instead. Minimum frequency ~ 250
Maximum frequency-Anything between 800-850
Governor - smartass/smartassv2
Don't be a noob. Be a newbie..!!
Details here.

Overclock..I wouldn't recommend that though.Could mess up your phone if you don't know what you are doing

[Q] Best developer / performance settings?

For speed, what are the best settings to have? I'm running CM10.2 now, this ROM in particular, with this Kernel. No "performance" scripts, as I tried one and my phone wouldn't boot and had to restore nandroid backup.
For example:
zRAM: disabled, 10%, 18% (default), 26%
Allow purging of assets y/n?
Kernel samepage merging y/n?
16bit transparency y/n? (yes seems obvious but I don't know if it might somehow make it slower)
Right now I'm using SMARTASSH3 governor with max cpu at 825. I can go up to about 900mhz but it doesn't seem to make much difference to be honest.
I/O scheduler: I leave this as NOOP on default because whenever I change it my phone because really unstable and crashes all the time, but if you can suggest one that might be better I'm all ears.
Dev options:
Window animations of course can be reduced or disabled.
Force GPU rendering for 2D drawing y/n?
Force 4x MSAA y/n?
Disable HW overlays y/n?
Background process limit? Whenever I try to change this the setting never "sticks", and I think it seems to cause instability.
Don't keep activities seems like an obvious one to enable, but if you are switching between multiple apps then it could be perceived slowdown as it has to load them up again from the start?
Does the amount of available internal storage make a difference to speed? Right now I am at 14.8mb free, is this used like RAM or something and I should link more apps to SD card? (Link2SD)
Thanks in advance if you answer these extremely common questions..

ZRam: Yes (but the battery life will get shorter!)
Allowing purging of assets: Yes
KSM: Yes
16-Bit transparency: Yes
SmartassH3 is a good choice. If it's getting laggy use smartassv2. I usually use 200-800MHzh.
I/O scheduler: Idk which ones the MA6 kernel has, but ZEN is one of the best.
You can limit the background processes to 3-4, it's up to you and your personal use.
If you have apps that you don't use, deinstall them. Because some of them are running in the background and so they'll use RAM.

On CM 10.1 I got a very slow phone with zen scheduler. Now I'm using deadline and is faster than before. Governor is smartassh3 (supersmooth governor) and 864mhz overclock. This combination works very good for me. Please report back your experience
my phone
(main)
governor: interactive (320-800MHz)
scheduler: sio
(screen off)
governor: ondemand (245-748MHz)
smooth and responsive, try it.
How is battery life with these settings on CM10? Can I aspect at least 10 hours of moderate use?
