Hey all, I am Superbeak.
This is a ROM based off of the community project: Clutch:the new transmission by PureMotive.
Due to frustration and odd problems, I decided to tear Clutch down, and rebuild slowly, piece by piece. This ROM is quite fast and has great battery life. My hope is that you will support me with the "thanks" button and post actively and submit your ideas!
ALL UPDATES FROM CLUTCH 1.0.0 WILL BE POSTED HERE. I am managing this ROM and will be actively improving it to the best of my ability. I don't want donations,I just want to help keep the Incredible alive and kicking!
Big thanks to my buddy: PureMotive
and others which I will mention later on. No ROM yet, it's late. This nis just to get everyone migrated to the new thread.
Superbeak
First. Also, the game. Also, will download when I get home. Thanks for keeping my Inc alive!
I advise that you use clutch and see how you like it. Then give me bug reports ...experience...you know the drill.

Did you do a full wipe?
sometimes using VR_superwipe.zip helps
For those who cannot install clutch:
1. update your clockwork recovery through rom manager
2.wipe data/factory
3.wipe system and boot in mounts
4.do NOT use superwipe
4.flash rom and enjoy
I updated the update script for clutch. It has super wipe in it already. You just need to format /boot and /system. I will upload the update-script. Just drop it inside /meta-inf/Google/android/ replace the pre existing one with this one ..give me a sec I'll upload it:

Just right click, download as .txt and then remove the extension. It will then become just a "file". Drop it in the zip and flash

I've been playing with the idea of moving away from this project....I think I would be better off finding a different base, most likely not sense 3.5. I've been looking at joelz git, and many of these problems originate from the actual source for this port....I'm really discouraged guys. Right now, I'm busy, but....sense 3.5 is a WIP. I'll still be looking at these problems, but please don't expect any releases soon. I'll still be checking back several times a day so feel free to contact me.
Thanks.

Who's nils 3.5 Rom based on?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA
The biggest issue imo is the 3G drop that would happen randomly that you didn't know happened until you looked at your status bar and see it missing. Then trying to fix it was always guess work... Sometimes airplane mode on/off fixed it, sometimes you had to reboot. Anyway hope you can get it tweaked more!!

I am currently looking into a long forgotten ROM for a base. I still need to flash it and look into it but my ROM isn't dead.
As far as the ROM nils, I believe it is based from the runnymeade sense 3.5 leak that came out a while back.

(All credit to Cyanogenmod team and a huge thank you to gridlock32404 for taking over until the official nightlies are back)
The builds I link to now are maintained by gridlock32404 and are built from the most current github code around twice a day. These are NOT put out by the official CM team but they are the same code that they would build from. Please keep any discussions about the older nightlies in the other "CM Nightlies" topic here. So with that, the current CM7 source build:
Recent Changes:
http://review.cyanogenmod.com/
Known Issues:
-USB mounting of any kind (fixed as of gridlock build #28)
-LED blinking (fixed as of gridlock build #40)
-Some people report location issues (I haven't heard any reports lately)
-Rom Manager interaction with current Clockwork Mod is broken (fixed)
-No hardware acceleration yet (appears to be huge graphics speed boost as of build #45 though)
-Camcorder missing 720p (recording should now work though as of build #40)
Installation:
Rom & Gapps Download (Torch app is now included):
http://phones.crackflashers.com/inc/
Download both the Gapps and the CM7 zip files. If you download build 27, you will need a new kernel as the default one bootloops. I will still try to keep the list of known issues up to date with the nightlies so let me know if some bug is either fixed or appears as time goes on. The source builds are really coming together now so I highly encourage users to check them out! Cheers
Rule of thumb: If you are having issues and haven't already, do a clean wipe. Please lets keep bug reports down to what is actually wrong and not issues caused by upgrading from stable, nightly, or and older source build to the newest source build.

I grabbed old torch.apk and it works. Maybe I missed something on build to add it... or they had some reason for not including.
Just felt I should share this with everyone since I don't think a lot of people know about it yet.I know I never heard of it until the other day.
Trying to.get.an idea of what others think.
I guess there has been some controversy between Blackdroid (UltimateDroid) and the CyanogenMod team over the likeness of Ultimate Droid to CyanogenMod 7. They are almost identical, however, Ultimate Droid offers far more customization and every bit as snappy. As most of you know, the CM7 Final was released nearly 24 hours ago. I obviously downloaded and flashed it immediately to check it out. Honestly, there just wasn't anything special enough to keep it, I immediately restored my UD backup.
I certainly don't want to get in the middle of any beef between developers, after all these are both phenomenal ROMs.I just know I am always looking to try new ROMs and other methods of tweakness and hope others would speak up...
Obviously, I take no credit for anything here, just sharing info...

Tapatalk Pro Sig. Yep, boring.
Just more customizable. It allows you to easily change things like themes, boot animations/sound, and system font (which might be my favorite feature). That, or the ability to add a custom message (or name/nickname) to the lockscreen.
some will prefer CM still and certainly nothing wrong with that.

People are still talking about things that went down a year ago? Wow.
UD Rom is the best hands down.
Edit: I could care less about the year old beef...bunch of whining babies. I'd steal your lunch on the playground if I could.
UD is much more stable then CM. Faster, smoother and far superior battery life. Who cares about the stale drama between the 2 open source deVs. Its all about the final product and UD takes the cake.

Just out of curiosity, are all the additions aesthetic, or are there any performance enhancements over CM7? Like the power control widgets or the lockscreen gestures and things like that.
Wow.... I think this is a record for the longest running UD thread.
For the record, I can't stand aosp roms but would choose UD over cm any day. Especially with cm7. I think cm7 took a step back with removing their custom options and adding the theme app. The only "gimik" they have on cm7 is that its Ginger Bread. Other then that, nothing stands out. The last "good" cm release was cm6 rc3, hands down. And UD is pretty consistent with their releases.
Found my problem. It was that the webpage was set to mobile instead of full size. Once I clicked on the bottom I was able to download.
New! Follow my updates on the project on Twitter with the #NexusTW hashtag.
Update: extremely close to an early build now, minor kernel updates needed then I should be able to successfully boot into the ROM. Last time I tried it did boot, but got stuck.
Just setting it up ready for my TW port and anyone else who is interested in helping me port the leaked 2.3.3 firmware for our Nexus S. Started to separate the previous Sense and TW threads upon JD's advice.
In the next few days I'm going to poke around the firmware and see what I can get working. Hopefully bits and pieces like codecs and FM radio can be then used in other custom ROMs (like my ROM, infin1y).

That would be nice might be a bit hacky though, lower FPS or something to compensate for the lack of high speed chip or whatever that's missing.
I'd definitely try to keep as many file systems the same as what's currently on the Nexus S. Obviously sometimes this might not work at the start but I will aim that way.
As far as I can tell at the moment, it wouldn't be too hard to get it to work on the 9023 if it doesn't already. Probably a few different drivers needed but other than that it should be fine.

[ROM] PhaZer 0.4 Optimus T
The focus of this ROM was to put together something for my LG-P509 that was functional and stable yet still had enough tweaks to make it fast and fun. I think that you will see that this rom does just that. I appreciate any input. and just want to thank all the people that contribute to this forum (I would not even have known how to turn on my phone without you guys). And if you like it kick up my thanks meter.
ROM Features:
1.Based on V10l Froyo 2.2
2.Used der_caveman's kernel - In my opinion this kernel is smooth.
3.Deodexed Apks
4.Zipalign Apks
6.Superuser
7.A2SD
8.HWacc on
9.JIT
10.Stagefright player off - I dont know why people turn this on.
11.Default launcher:Zeam - Light weight and functional.
12.Boot animation: Coin
13.Added /data/app functionality.
14.Added Apps2SD
15.Wi-Fi Calling - Unless you are using it turn it off (it eats battery).
16. local.prop tweaks
I recommend using SetCPU if you choose to over-clock (great app worth the purchase) - Over-clock at your own risk.
INSTALL:
Install this rom at your own risk. I am not at fault for any thing not working or your phone breaking!
*Do Not flash with clockwork*
1.Boot in recovery
2.Partition SD:
0.Swap
256 Ext(or higher)
Remaining:FAT32
Flash rom.
UPDATE: Phazer 0.5
Changes:
1. Removed shut down sound.
2. Added file manager.
3. Finally got rid of drive smart in settings.
4. Updated Zeam.
Download PhaZer 0.5 Optimus T
I am new to a2sd and would like to know how to partition ext in recovery? I assume partition is needed because of a2sd?

This is great! Just started messing around with the roms yesterday and I was sad to see I lost my wifi calling with pretty much all of them... Glad to see this rom out here today! Looking forward to updates if you plan on making them!
Well, I still like this ROM, but I'm having issues with the WIFI and I almost lost all of the pictures I took yesterday (not sure if that is directly related to the rom, but I would assume it is). I think I'm going to flash something else until if/when the WIFI thing is fixed.
There is no problem with the wifi. Even Wifi calling works. Maybe you didn't wipe before flashing. Or you got a corrupt download.
Sent from my LG-P509 using Tapatalk
Well, perhaps I should have been more clear on what my problem was. Wifi works fine as does wifi calling, but whenever I would wake the phone up after a period of not using it, the wifi wouldn't work unless I turned wifi off and then back on again. Anyhow, I did partition and wipe the card completely, and I guess a corrupt download is possible, but it seems unlikely.
Guess it doesn't matter now though since I switched over to Nessy.

Good to see you back around the Vibrant community Brick'd. What are the main changes in this firmware upgrade? I understand the browser, as the standard GB browser that's been floating around sucks. Just curious as to the benefits, and perhaps users will want to know the difference to help them determine a ROM to use as a daily driver.

The differences in between XXJVQ and XXJVR are superb. It runs smoother and faster from what I've been experiencing. I am talking about my own personal builds here. I was running my own JVQ since last week, and this JVR puts it to shame. You have to try to it and see for yourself really.
As a daily driver, my phone has to be functional 100 percent for work. I have my email on an exchange push profile, and I need everything else to work without fc's. What I post out here is exactly what I run, and I hold it to a high standard for my own use, and yours as well.
