Hello, I have a problem, is the first time I install ICS on my Dual, but I can not change the APN.
I am Italian and my phone company is "Postemobile" but I can not erase it and even add new APN, there are solutions? others have this problem?
PS. Sorry for my English
What do you mean you can't add or deleted? What happens when you try to?
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA
Usually pre configured APN that was retrieved from carrier of the simcard installed cannot be deleted. I have that 'issue' too.. but I do still can add additional new APN.

In practice the existing APN (vodafone.it) I can not delete or even edit them, but also add a new APN does not save it, leaving the usual APN unusable!
How can I do?

Everything worked to perfection. Thanks for the help

My problem is with Galnet's MIUI rom ( wich is an awesome rom ). I did everything step by step and it works flawlessly but one thing troubles me: my mobile network doesn't work, i have the same IMEI (no problem there), i can make / recieve phone calls and send messages but when i enter the same APN settings as in froyo (no problem with mobile network on froyo) it doesn't work....
Can any1 help me with this?
P.S...my provider is Orange Romania

Right now i'm using Bezke 4.2 with JVP modem (the same modem as it was on MIUI v2.2) and mobile network is working...
Hi all,
i just flashed this ROM yesterday. Very smooth and fast but i'm encountering a problem with 3G data.
I checked into mobile setting and there is no any APN configured. Usually with other custom ROMs i never had to change parameters, my phone automatically pulled them from the network.
Is this a known bug?
THanks

I dont have any msgs stored in the sim
If you using third party msg app (threaded SMS is common to cause this issue) uninstall it.
AND
try un ticking the "don't keep activities" in developers option

I had "dont keep activities" ticked and now got it unticked but the count is still there

You need to delete those and reboot device (many have solved by this, but may not work for all)
I had another problem guys
When i type a message, the matter i type is not being displayed in the text field,i need to wait for some time(for about 30sec)to be able to type. The text i type within that first 30sec is not being displayed even after the 30sec

Never mind, I found a flashable zip that did it.

May be because the file names are different. You may need to do it manually by referring to the zip file.

I'm not sure I understand? Should I rename the zip file before I flash it? If so, what should I rename it to?
no.. what the zip does is to a particular file. if that file doesnot exist on your current rom then it will not work. open the zip and check its script. you will see what it modifies. then manually check if you have the files that its changing in you rom..
OK, I looked in that zip file but I have no idea how to tell how to do it manually.

I would love to know this aswel. I thought it may be rom related. I'm hoping it may be fixed when a gsm rom gets sprint compatibility. Also read it could be related to some code in the build.prop file.

After some reading I found out that SystemUI.apk contains the status bar icons. I am sure it's a pretty simple job for a themer and the icons are already there. You just have to replace the GSM icons with the 3G ones and recompile

You sir are brilliant!!
thanks alot, works perfectly.
Might be a stupid question, but out of curiosity, what would happen if we had to completely replace the systemUI.apk from a gsm rom on our sprint roms?
the reason i ask is cos I know this method masks the gsm icons with the 3G ones.
and that constantly shows the 3G icon regardless of if we are connected to 3G / HSDPA or EDGE.
so just wondering if its possible to show the correct icon for when its connected to the respective data connection.
but never the less. This mod is perfect.

I am pretty sure that wouldn't work. Yes this method just shows 3G instead of GSM, but I think it's nearly impossible to make it work like a GSM phone. The phone's primary use is with Sprint network, so GSM is secondary. I think that's the best we can get
