nAa FTW!

I do use nAa works good

Both are good, but I'm using now nAa, because on alfs8 I have a problem with wifi.
Now im using nAa-11 with ROM MiniCM7-2.2.0 and it's the best for me.

I think it's common question for the beginner. Because they are afraid about the damage of celular. So I suggest, please try ROM that say it's popular like:
- FreeXperia SEMC Debrand Engine by Achotja
- Prime HD by HAKA (nAa)(POPULAR
- GingerDX by Team GingerDX (Alfs/Stock/Linux)(POPULAR)
- MiniCM7 by NobodyAtall (nAa)(POPULAR).
And try with stock kernel before. Happy trying...

PrimeHD The Best Rom For Stock Kernel For Now.
Froyobread V23
GingerDx V024
PrimeHD V6.0
I tried all three on my stock.
PrimeHD is the best and most stable with more than 30+ hours battery life.
It isbased on GingerDx
Next I would recommend GingerDx
Froyobread has less features , but very good battery life.
Now iam testing GingerDX v024

[Q] Help selecting ROM

Which is the most stable customized ROM for my Xperia X8 , preferably of a later version than Froyo (V2.3 or later). Cyanogenmod 7.1 for Xperia X8 has troubles with connectivity (wifi/3G) and I therefore avoid it.

if you're looking for a GB rom, miniCM is probably the stablest, and definitely the least prone to battery drain.
I would go with GingerDX v021 plus the Alfs kernel v06 its a killing combination

[Q] What kernel.

Which kernel is better for minicm7 2.2.0.I think the rom have better xperience on alfs for minicm than naa11.
For some repiles thanks.
No, it runs only on nAa kernel.
I know but which kernel is better for this rom?
Hmm it was stated on the thread. nAa always the rom together with the kernel, that rom was made for nAa kernel so I advice using nAa. If you feel AlfCM7 is better then you can use it, it depends how you feel so its a personal choice actually

[Q] Best ROM at may 2012?

Hi guys, im just new into the SE world (Used before a Samsung galaxy)
Ok the think is that now I have a X8 E15a and im looking to install a custom rom, actually i received it with fw 2.1 Update 1. and as far as i know it is actually rooted (Have CWM)
What is the best rom available right now? im looking for perfomance and battery life
and is there a wiki or FAQ to read before flashing?
Thank u all guys!
GDX!!!
Feature wise + Most famous ROM --> GingerDx V026
Battery Life + Very High Stability --> PrimeHD v8
Though you yourself should try both ROMS I suggest.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1590266
There you will find anyting you need.
As for the best rom is what it fits to you try many and decide which the best for you.

In my opinion Shin Engine ™ MOD4 STOCK. With this rom I can play most games perfectly without overclocking. I tried GingerDX and others, but I prefer the shin engine.
You'll find all recent ROMs in the development section. Decide your ROM based on your personal liking. There is no such thing as best ROM. The ROM changes its performance based on your usage. That means everyone has a different experience.

I would recommend you MiniCM7 with nAa kernel, it's stable, fast and customizable.
i'm running gingerdx v26 and no stability issues. I ran gdx 18 prior to this. You should go check it out. Changed my launcher to launcherpro though.
Cyanogen Mod 9

MiniCM7 is fast and stable, everything working (I used this for 4months+ as daily ROM).
MiniCM9 is very nice but still new so has a few teething problems (e.g. hardware video encoding/decoding not working yet) - Once the bugs have been fixed this will be an amazing ROM.

What do you suggest between miniCM7, miniCM9 and miniCM10?

Hello guys,
the questions that today I'll want to ask you is the same as the title:
what do you suggest between the miniCM7, the miniCM9 and the miniCM10?
(with respectively nAa kernel, nAa ICS kernel and nAa JB kernel)
What is the best in terms of perfomances/features?
Thank you.
Performance wise MINICM7.
Looks wise MINICM9 and MINICM10.

^^^this.
but then it really boils down to personal preference. try minicm10 though instead of 9. i don't think you'll be disappointed.

Basicly we have fully working cm7/9/10.
Cheers,
Mistev
I actually have the miniCM9.
So if i want performance i'll have to get the miniCM7,
Thank you guys, I'll try it!
Another question: are the performances about the same between the miniCM9 and miniCM10?
MiniCM10 is as fast as MiniCM7 , for me.
Sent from my E15i using xda app-developers app
cm7=performance
cm9=looks
cm10=more ram
@nag xperia
I agree with you but CM10 kernels don't actually come with more RAM (correct me if I'm wrong). ponanovn said they re-allocated some RAM to camera and PMEM for more stability and improved performance.
