Hey,
I'm looking for an application named AndroidGlobalTime (The one with the 3D Global that should example the use of OpenGL), but any apk file that I have downloaded was defect and the Package Manager always say "There is a problem parsing the package" when I'm trying to install it.
I'm using the Rogers Rom on G1.
Does anyone have a working apk file of that app?
Thanks,
As you all already know, if you use this, you can check your current firmware:
Code:
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=IMEI
It displays link to downloadable KDZ file, that can be downloaded by any web browser:
OK *************** LGP970 APOLTL ************* 20110514 V20N_00 http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP970/APOLTL/V20n_00/V20N_00.kdz http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP970/APOLTL/V20n_00/V20N_00.kdz GLOBAL/GLOBAL N N EL GSM

But when we enter:
Code:

It's direct link to firmware in BIN/FLS format that can be used with SmartFlash to unbrick or fast flashing our phones.
Unfortunately we can't download this file with our web browser.
Is there any possibility to "cheat" LG servers, by modyfying HTTP packets (or something) to let us download this firmware?

I think that only B2B is able to download from there. It`s about security, username and password.

B2C only downloads kdz files. You only need to check out its userdata, and you will find it in there.
So I also dont know, how to get the bin files. I bet that anyone has either gotten them from a friendly LG customer service worker, or he/she him-/herself is a LG worker.
what means the code after OK IMEI...... LGP970 APRTTL 110K ...... DATE when you put the IMEI .... it`s show`s when the IMEI was first time activate or it show`s when the IMEI was created ? thanks
Do you mean this: DEC-31-2011+0.zip?If so, it means, when the software was finished, I think.

After lg update client extracted the kdz file, we'll get cab file and then it get extracted again and we get p970.dll and wdb file. I've check p970.dll and it has reference to AP download and CP download. If the update client did download the AP and CP file, a tcpdump or wireshark capture during the update might be useful. But more likely it just convert wdb to AP and CP using p970.dll before flashing the phone. That we need lg's proprietary tool to do the conversion.
Also, judging from url, i think the link is just for reference for their technian or something like that.

Maybe. Look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1467575
This is where I got the v20b bin/fls. Maybe someone inside open it on purpose. There were a lots of other tools in there, unfortunately it's inaccessable now.

Hey guys,
I tried something interesting today. I upgraded to the latest official firmware with the LG Mobile Update and it appears, that the .fls and .bin files are loaded into memory by LGUserCSTool.exe when the upgrading process starts. I verified this by dumping its memory and looking inside with a hex editor. That means the newest firmware .fls and .bin can be taken from there.
I had a hard time finding out where the files ended inside the dump, though. Also the bin file seems to be in multiple parts (LGP970_AP[0].bin, LGP970_AP[1].bin etc). So in the end, I didn't quite get there, but maybe someone more knowledgeable can improve on this?
Nice finding man. Somewhere to start. I've tried direct download with encoded url but failed miserably. Lol.

Try sniffing communication between LG and update. Also probably you need to have correct useragent set.
I tried that too. LG Update uses 2 user agents, none of them give access to the bins. Besides, the regular updater only downloads the kdz file which is available to everyone.
Hello forum-comers,
I want to update my cell's firmware using Kies, but neither this nor FOTA are possible. I've trying using Kies to download a firmware file (to %username%\appdata\local\temp\Binary\GT-I9000 folder), and got a "download complete" notice. The file is supposed to be a *.tar archive containing other *.tar archives that are flashable with Odin, but it has no extension (just a name) and I can't open it. I've tried adding a *.tar or a *.zip extension but it didn't seem to help.
Does anyone know how to open or use that file?
Problem solved
Okay, it turns out that the file is encrypted somehow, and there's a program that can open it (as well as check and download firmware without the Kies suite) - it's called Check Fus, and you can read about it on this thread from a couple of years ago, or head to the dev's website. The decrypted file is a zip containing both a firmware *.tar file that can be flashed using Odin, as well as a *.dll the purpose of which I don't know.
Hi,
I followed the instructions to convert L09 to Middle Eastern & North and South Africa version and it all worked well for me, but I'm wondering how do I convert to Chinese version? Can anyone help with some information?
Like do i just need to edit the build.prop and have the correct regions update.app file? or is something else necessary.
Thanks in advance
Gavin

So I managed to convert to Chinese version. This is how I did it.
While fresh in the memory, instructions on how to change the region+ firmware to UL00
What do you need (links in 004's original post earlier in the thread or here:
1. Firmware UL00-C433B114 (Middle East, North and South Africa)
2. The oeminfo.img program to change the locale (45.69 KB) Anti-Virus may or complain, so disable it)
3. Mounted on the phone ES Explorer (Solid or Root Explorer will not work !!!)
4. You need a copy of your existing ROM versions recovery.img. You can get this using the Huawei ROM extractor tool.
What to do:
1. Flash TWRP Recovery through Fastboot (Bootloader must be unlocked)
2..Get Root (install SuperSU.zip through TWRP), reboot.
3. Install and enable root in settings of ES Explorer and go to the folder /dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/
4. Copy oeminfo file and transfer it to your computer
5. On your computer, unpack the oeminfo.exe program from the RAR. Put your oeminfo file in the same folder.
6. Rename oeminfo in oeminfo.img
7. Run oeminfo.img.exe and type hw / meafnaf replacing dualcu / cn - click apply
8. Rename oeminfo.img back to oeminfo and copy to your mobile phone
9. Replace the original file in the phone to change (overwrite)
10. Go to the phone / system / and open the file build.prop
11. Find the line ro.build.displey.id = change your version to "=" CRR-UL00C433B000 and save changes
EDIT ?: These steps (10/11) MUST be completed or it will not allow you to update later with new regions ROM
12. Extract the new ROM file on your computer with the firmware.
13. Copy dload folder with the Update.app file and copy it to the phone's internal memory or MicroSD card
14. Flash back stock recovery from your existing ROM (use the extractor tool if needed). You can do this now or at the end before flashing but you must remove TWRP and ROOT before attempting to flash new rom.
15. On the phone go Settings - Update.
16. Select Menu - Local update
I then ensured Google Play was installed.
After doing this, flashed TWRP again and Rooted the phone, I then edited the oeminfo file using the above method, changing the attribute back to "dualcu/cn". After this I edited the build.prop to using the above method but this time I changed "ro.build.display.id=CRR-UL00C00B131".
I then removed root and flashed the original Huawei recovery, and then rebooted and went to update settings. I searched for update and a new file was found however a modified system was detected so it offered to download a full version which was the B160 build. This downloaded and then updated and now I have CRR-UL00C00B160 version
Whats the advantage of this Version?
There are more updates to the Chinese version..they are on build B160 whereas UK still on build B144.
Some other features like dual SIM should work however I haven't tested this.
Other things like build in virus scanner, permissions manager and also the ability to set the date of your mobile data plan to help keep track of data usage and allowance.
Pressure sensitive screen is also featured although not yet used in any apps but maybe it will be enabled soon by Huawei

if you have changed your localization ( the "Cxxx" part) then you won´t receive any updates. You have to manualy update via Update.APP files.
Your IMEI is linked to you Build/Localization. This way, Huawei makes sure that every phone receives the right update file. If you change one of both, you won´t receive OTA updates anymore, since the update system can´t assign the "right" update file.

First of all thanks ,
Finally I got the update for CRR-UL00C433B114
Do the following steps
1) Download this file from the link below :

(May be just wait few seconds for the file need to display on site )
2) Extract that file and you get UPDATE.APP
3) Put UPDATE.APP file inside the dload folder of your SD card (If there is no dload folder create one folder and rename that to dload)
4) Go to settings - update and select local update. It will restart your mobile and install the updates
5) Now you are on CRR-UL00, Android5.1, EMUI 3.1, C433B146,
6) Now Go to your setting > updater > check for updates > you will be able to see the Android 6.0 OTA file and you can download and update to marshmallow.... Good luck :laugh::laugh:

if you have changed your localization, you won´t get the OTA Update.
Your IMEI is connected to one localization. This way every phone will receive the suitable update. If you have changed your localization (e.g. if you swapped from UL00C00BXXX to UL00C433BXXX) you won´t receive any OTA because the servers can´t find a suitable update for your IMEI/Build combination.
