Is the new wifi driver (ath6kl-v2.9-for-20120329) and the latest nightly (5/07) compatible? I tried to install the nightly and play around with it and found the wifi still drops, so i decided to try the wifi driver zip, but only bootloops to the green cynogenmod symbol.

Im having a problem with cm 10.1 stable rom 10.1.2. Ever since i flashed it, my phone has been rebooting constantly whenever I press the power button. Ive tried flashing nightlies 20130714 - 20130719 after this and nothing seems to get rid of that problem. Does anyone know a way to fix it without a full wipe?
I just moved to Cyanogenmod 11 from 10.2 (with all the right apps and CWM etc.).
In CM 10.2 the wifi was fine. Once connected to a known network with password it would remain connected after re-boot.
In CM 11 (cm-11-20140121-NIGHTLY-ovation.zip) and previous versions the wifi works fine but after a re-boot it will lose the password. You have to enter the password each time after a re-boot (or sometimes after long sleep).
Anyone else have this issue?
I may just go back to 10.2 if this persists.
Thanks.
PS: All those wifi tools did not seem to fix the issue.
Galaxy Note GT-N7000, I was on CM 11 and everything was working fine. I made my mind to try out Omni ROM. Installed TWRP and Omni ROM. Since then WiFi is not turning ON. When tried to turn ON from settings, the button moves to ON state stays grey for few seconds and moves back to Off. Now even after installing stock ROM or CM 11, the WiFi is not turning ON and same behavior observed.
Tried the following:
Factory reset.
Installed stock JB ROM.
Again installed CM 11 by doing wiping /data, /system, /cache.
Installed Custom Kernel
Based on the suggestions at some posts, opened up the phone to check any dust or hardware related issues, but nothing.
It doesn't seems to be a hardware issue, as WiFi turns ON occasionally, especially when a new ROM is installed but after a while stops working.
PS: ADB Debug log says "Unable to load driver."
Requesting help from experts on fixing this issue.
Hi everybody,
I recently updated my S4A from latest stock rom to latest CM 12.1 nightly.
Of course I wiped the **** out of it and did a clean install.
Unfortunately, my Wifi keeps turning off, when the screen is off...
Wifi --> Advanced settings --> Keep Wifi alive while standby is set to "always"....
But the phone ignores it and turns Wifi off, anyway.... :/
What can I do?
Thanks in Advance,
McK
Same here for GT9195 , but I use a latest release of 12.1 (stable cm-12.1-20151117-SNAPSHOT).
Figured I'd try and flash the Lollipop stock ROM in order to try it out. Ended up not liking it, so I reverted my baseband and flashed back down to Quarx's CM11 ROM.
Buuuut, now WiFi simply won't work.
As in, it gets stuck on 'Turning WiFi on...' and the toggle button is grayed out
It works when I flash up to Lollipop, and it works when I flash the stock KDZ, but not with CM11. Any ideas as to why? It's a bit of a pain...
