WiFi not turning ON after installing Omni ROM - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Galaxy Note GT-N7000, I was on CM 11 and everything was working fine. I made my mind to try out Omni ROM. Installed TWRP and Omni ROM. Since then WiFi is not turning ON. When tried to turn ON from settings, the button moves to ON state stays grey for few seconds and moves back to Off. Now even after installing stock ROM or CM 11, the WiFi is not turning ON and same behavior observed.
Tried the following:
Factory reset.
Installed stock JB ROM.
Again installed CM 11 by doing wiping /data, /system, /cache.
Installed Custom Kernel
Based on the suggestions at some posts, opened up the phone to check any dust or hardware related issues, but nothing.
It doesn't seems to be a hardware issue, as WiFi turns ON occasionally, especially when a new ROM is installed but after a while stops working.
PS: ADB Debug log says "Unable to load driver."
Requesting help from experts on fixing this issue.

ICS Wifi Issue

I have searched for the past thirty minutes and have not found a solution so i decided to post in the place where every person seems to know the answer to every question. Anyways, my tp succesfully got set up in ICS and WIFI turned on at first for me to do my original setup, but after rebooting to flash the charger fix and new kernel, my wifi will not connect. I tried a fresh install to make sure the kernel was not the issue, to no avail. When i try and slide the wifi on/off switch to on it just slides back and clicking on the button does nothing. I also tried to add the power widget to the main screen and hit the Wifi button from there, but that was also borked. Any help would be appreciated.
Try setting your router to a specific channel I put mine on 9 and it works now. I was having wifi issues after reboot but after setting the Chanel on my router they went away
If I forget my network, then reboot, then reconnect it seems to work fine. I tried a few other "fixes" I have read about and nothing else seems to work for me at this point...
The problem is not my network, its the fact that i cannot hit the "on" button for wifi

Click to collapse
The OP did make the problem clear!
Looks like a reinstall may be needed.
try fixing permissions from CWM.
If that doesn't work, I suggest to have a look at the logcat entries while trying to switch on and off the Wifi, you may see the reason for the error there.
What version of CM9 is intalled? did you install any special kernel? What channel is your wifi on? (I changed mine from 11 to 1 and it's stayed connected for days now!)
Try a full cache and dalvik cache wipe in ClockworkMod. If that fails, then do a full wipe, re-install and try again from scratch.
This happened to me when I updated to Alpha 0.5. I had to go back and reflash the bricked kernel which i previously installed. I think he made a change to the wifi settings and if I remember correctly he told you how to go back to stock cm9 if you wanted to. But if you installed bricked before that's your problem, reflash it in CWM
bricked kernel uses a different WIFI module, so you need to have both in sync (kernel and driver).
If it worked on first boot, I presume he didn't change the kernel, so something else must be causing his WIFI to fail (fail to start, not fail to connect)
As we mention before, I will go for permissions, cache and get a logcat for the error
Permissions did not work so I wiped and started fresh for the third time....well I guess third time is a charm because I am posting from the TP right now thanks guys.

Switching between ROMs? and wifi problem.

So I have Cyanogenmod 11 by FreeXperia installed on my SP and I would like to install another ROM (mahdi) as it seems more stable.
Now can I just install the boot.img using fastboot then wipe data and cache and flash the ROM? or do I have to flash to stock rom first then flash the other rom?
PS: the reason I want to switch is that the WIFI rarely works, I press connect but it just blinks "connecting" for a fraction of a second and goes back to saving "saved, secured with WPA" I tried forgetting the network/ changing region code/ rebooting / changing device hostname. nothing works. any tips are appreciated.

[Q] WiFi Not Connecting After Reboot CYAN 11

I just moved to Cyanogenmod 11 from 10.2 (with all the right apps and CWM etc.).
In CM 10.2 the wifi was fine. Once connected to a known network with password it would remain connected after re-boot.
In CM 11 (cm-11-20140121-NIGHTLY-ovation.zip) and previous versions the wifi works fine but after a re-boot it will lose the password. You have to enter the password each time after a re-boot (or sometimes after long sleep).
Anyone else have this issue?
I may just go back to 10.2 if this persists.
Thanks.
PS: All those wifi tools did not seem to fix the issue.

Wifi getting switched on and off frequently

I am using AOSP Marshmallow beta 2 AOSP ROM on my Lenovo A7000 phone. Since then my wifi keeps getting switched off by itself and turns back on without any reason.
I also checked in my advanced wifi settings that my wifi is kept on during sleep and it was enabled. What should I do to fix this problem? I also flashed the ROM again by wiping data, dalvic, cache and factory reset but the problem persists.

Wifi button is Disappeared in nexus 6

Well, this is the second time that happens to me. I installed CM13 nightly release, then the Gapps... Everything works well. i just rebooting the device, when device is on then, WiFi does not respond. The button is always off, and when you try to turn it on, it still remains off. I tried reseting the network setting, rebooting, wiping cache, dalvik... The only thing that works, is wiping system and reinstalling CM13 again. I've done it two times, but the problem is still there. Please help.
Thanks!!
help? stop using CM. CM will ALWAYS come with bugs.
