This is what's going on with my phone.
Downgrade to rc-29,
Use JF's guide to activate over wifi,
Root, flash the hard spl,
Then the radio (2.22.19.26I),
Then flashed cm-4.0.4,
Then partitioned your sdcard to 1.5gb fat32, 500mb ext3,
Then tried to do a nandroid restore of 4.1.11.1 that had been past the sign in screen,
Then removed the ext3 partition from sdcard, and now you are where you are now.
As you can see in the Video
Everytime i try to call, got to contacts, use the market, text i get a error message saying something suchas
The process (process.android.acore) has stopped unexpectedly, or The process (com.android.phone) or other errors similar to these.
When some one calls me it doesnt even acknowledge that, it just send them to voicemail and i'll never know it
I also cant touch the screen ... it isn't responding to touch, and the rotate isn't working anymore either, The Airplane mode comes on by its self
**Note, it was working perfectly fine the touch and everything until i partition the sdcard then a couple hours after i did that the phone seems as it if caught a virus so i don't know what to do i just basically want to use the market, call, & text.. because everything else works btw the touch screen sensor. so if you can help please do, if not i may just unroot it and send it to HTC, if i can't fix it ;/
This has nothing to do with development. Try posting in the correct section.

Best thing to do is wipe it and re-install the ROM.
Turn off your G1.
Turn it on while holding the home button. Wait for the recovery screen to appear.
Press ALT-W (This will wipe your phone's data!)
When it's done wiping, restart the phone, check if it works.
If not, then install the Cyanogen ROM again.

anyone else notice her screen is mirrored? i think it was the video, but it threw me off for a sec... in any case, try wiping and reinstalling rom. if that doesnt work, unroot, go back to factory settings and see if the screen works then. if it does, retry the whole process (rooting) make sure you are using the correct radio and the correct spl. if you still cant figure it out, get an iphone
Don't make movies with a mirror..
could be a hardware problem? doubt it though
Hey there, so i recently just flashed CM7 (cm_captivatemtd_full-133.zip). I used the method shown in the MobileTechVideos, using ODIN as well as the Speedstock kernal for the PDA. Everything worked out great! Backed up my apps via Titanium and got google apps through clockwork. Im loving CM7, but the problem is Bluetooth refuse to turn on! Every time i try and enable Bluetooth nothing happens. The icon gets greyed out and then reappears but nothing changes. Anyone know a fix to this?! Thanks!
I've tried fixing the permissions through Rom manager and rebooted a number of times. Nothing works. Also whenever i reboot the email app just FC on me :/
Edit: The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectly shows up everytime i reboot as well!
Try to flash it again or try a previous nightly.
Sent from my Captivate
Alright, i'll give that a whirl and keep you posted! Thanks!
Did this work?
I've had the same problem, re-flashed numerous times to try and clear it (wiped my cache, dalvik, etc) but still it always happens, and then the FCs for com.android.phone keep coming intermittently.
So since my last flash, I haven't touched bluetooth, and guess what? No FC's at all.
Anybody have another idea?
I'm on 7.1.0 from 10-10-2011.
Hi everyone,
I have a really weird problem.
yesterday I came home and my phone didn't connect to my home wifi.
so i tried turning the wifi off and on again but it didnt work..
other things I tried were wiping cache, dalvik cache, factory reset, I even restored a backup from a different rom but the problem wouldn't dissapear.
I was on cyanogenmod 10.1 PRO in the beginning. the backup I restored was PAC-Rom from nims11.
My computer had some problems too and it said DNS server not responding(or something like that) but it works again.
So is is something with my phone or is there something wrong with my router?
forgot to say: I also tried reinstalling wifi drivers on my ace with *#*#526#*#* but when I type the code it simply dissapears.
Thanks in advance!

I there i have a hp touchpad, an offer. It had already a android version (7 I think), and a problem with wifi, some times didn't connect.
So I decided to upgrade to cm-11-20140625-SNAPSHOT-jcsullins-tenderloin, with rom update-PhilZ_CWM-jcs-dm-tenderloin-20140612 and pa_gapps-stock-4.4.4-20140818-signed, I used the tptoolbox, but the problem with wi-fi remains.
Its a problem of room?
Or of software?
Or hardware?
Can anybody help, please?
thanks in advance :good:

Ensure that you are cleanly installing, by factory resetting. Do WiFI problems exist when booted into WebOS?

When they gave it to me, it already brought android, and some it works fine some times no.
I did the factory reset, before the installation.
I watched that e can't get a ip address, e get stuck there .
For WebOS I need to download and reinstall?
How to?
thanks
When the tablet starts, you are greeted with a moboot menu. Use the volume rocker to select WebOS. In WebOS, attempt to connect to WiFi there. That should iron-out a hardware issue. I highly doubt it is a hardware issue to being with.
On the latest Android builds, WiFI is certainly not an issue. Use the Toolbox and try flashing again.

It would be wise to keep WebOS on a volume on your Touchpad. You can do this by running WebOS Doctor. Once your tablet returns to complete HP stock, you can then easily use the fantastic Toolbox provided by JScullins to push the latest KitKat builds of Android.
Good luck! And make sure to pass around your thanks on this forum by hitting the "Thanks" button!

Unbelievable, yesterday it start to work, I didn't anything...
but it worry because now i am afraid to disconnect... lolol.
What is the influence of gapp on th system?
I read in the past, that the touchpad WiFi, prefers channel 7 for WiFi. The only way to set that is to hard code that channel on your router!

Wifi fix for HPTouchpad CM11 (if you get stuck at "Wifi Turning On")
Hi all,
would like to share the issues I've been facing. Previously been using CM9 until one day the wifi stopped working - stuck at "Wi-fi Turning on...". WebOS wifi always worked flawlessly, just not android. Everytime I reflashed using TP Toolbox / ACMEUninstaller2, android Wifi did not work, always shows MAC Address Unavailable (regardless of wifi optimization settings, wifi sleep settings etc, and always stuck at Wi-fi Turning on...).
What I tried that didnt work:
>> TPToolbox with [cm-11-20141002-SNAPSHOT-jcsullins-tenderloin],[update-PhilZ_CWM-jcs-dm-tenderloin-20140317],[gapps-kk-20140105]
>> TPToolbox with [cm-10.1-20131210-SNAPSHOT-VPN-tenderloin], [update-CWM6_tenderloin-20121215], [gapps-jb-20130812-signed]
>> ACMEInstaller5E with [update-cm-10.1-20131210-SNAPSHOT-VPN-tenderloin],[update-CWM6_tenderloin-20121215],[update-gapps-jb4.2.2-20130812-signed]
>> ACMEInstaller5 with [update-cm-9-20130929-NIGHTLY-tenderloin],[update-CWM6_tenderloin-20121215],[update-gapps-ics4.0-20120429-signed]
all cases android wifi was stuck at "Wifi Turning On..." MAC address unavailable but webOS wifi works without issue.
>> installing FXR Wifi fix [FXR WiFi fix and rescue 1.5.0.apk] did not help either, it got stuck at "deleting profiles"
>> going into CWM and wiping Cache/Data + Dalvik Cache, turning on Bluetooth etc did not work either
After multiple tries, here's the solution that works for me for the past few hours. Will update if wifi stops working again:
Using JCSullins TPToolbox [tptoolbox_v40]:
1) Complete Data Reset
2) Create webOS volumes
3) WebOsDoctor to restore WebOS - check wifi works and clear USB data. [webosdoctorp305hstnhwifi]
4) TPToolbox to Install Android [cm-11-20141002-SNAPSHOT-jcsullins-tenderloin],[update-PhilZ_CWM-jcs-dm-tenderloin-20140317], [pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140608-signed]
5) Wifi turns on after booting CM11! MAC address also restored.
6) 1st thing to download - Nandroid online backup
personally, i feel it's the pa_gapps that did the trick. Could be a problem with the KK-signed gapps making the wifi issue appear (suspect its the ath6k failed to initialize problem that others have posted about)
Would like to thank the devs for their work, especially JCSullins for the TPToolbox, it is truly awesome and easy to use.

How would I hard code it please...
I'm running Supersu 2.42 and latest TWRP recovery.
I rooted via instructions on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/xt1064-lollipop-root-t2938051
Wifi on/off slider won't even toggle. I press it and animates, showing it recognized my touch, then it just slides back into off.
I tried all of the methods in this thread already: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2619553 , which includes:
creating/replacing file in /persist.img.
Doing a complete wipe, wiped cache partition and dalvik cache.
Restoring factory settings.
I also tried several wifi-fix apps.
Nothing worked. I've been at it for hours.
Please someone tell me I just did something obvious and dumb so I can be done with this disaster.
How do I get my wifi working?
Also, on the off chance this has anything to do with it, whenever I start up the phone it goes into a bootloop on the "Warning:Your bootloader is unlocked" screen. It takes about ten minutes of looping to start up.
I had the same issue on the xt1064. I wasn't able to fix it so I had to reflash and stay unrooted on lollipop.

Sounds to me it is a problem with the wlan driver module, try after attempting to turn wifi on, check dmesg output lines on shell related to wlan also you might want to check the output of command
Code:
insmod /system/lib/modules/wlan.ko
if it reports any error.
My wild guess is it is a mismatch between the kernel version and the module version and/or related to the whitelist it uses to load modules. Maybe your module wasnt updated or something bizarre happened. Anyways the commands above would give some insight.
Good luck.
I'm in the same situation
what did you end up doing? I have the same problem after installing a ROM of xt1033 (Brazil retail) in my xt1032, to upgrade to 5.0.1, My wifi toggle doesn't work, I'm in 5.0.1 but GPE, i have flashed the kernel and the radio, copy the .bin file in persist folder, but without the MAC adress because I couldn't know what was it, tried wifi fixer apps, wiped, nothing works,
what should I do? I've been 2 weeks like this, some help please...
